Roughly 3,500 died during the Northern Ireland Troubles over 30 years. Over 35,000 have been killed by Israel in a little over 6 months. The rate of killing is SIX HUNDRED TIMES greater in Gaza !!!
Less than 200 children died during the Troubles. An estimated 15,000 children have been killed in Gaza with countless injured and traumatised.
The scale of this defies human understanding. The ICJ must act to stop INFANTICIDE and GENOCIDE.

Only this is not the jurisdiction of the ICJ, but of the IC, which is the International Criminal Court.

Man, I was born here in South Africa. I'm a descendent of South Africa's 1820 settlers. I've lived here for 45 years. I've seen miracles happen here, things the whole civilized world thought could never be. It isn't all sunshine and roses - I've witnessed horrors, here, too, ones that I'll not mention in this comment.
But when it comes to civil rights, our peaceful revolution of the early- to mid-'90s of the last century stands alone in history. As far as I know, no other developed country has ever undergone such a rapid and radical shift in political power as it pertains to ethnicity and still, every day, I see examples of the robust fruits born of that transformation in the form of our young people. They are going to completely take this place over, and soon, and I'll tell you what - I cannot WAIT to see what we can do when that comes to pass.
Needless to say, I'm very proud of the stance we've taken in this case in support of a ceasefire and a start to reparations in Palestine. Now, if only Israel can drop the mantle of exceptionalism it seems so proud to carry before itself when it comes to international opinion and international law and in a complete military and political about-face, do the right thing. If only. I'm watching with so many others, and with bated breath.

What notes could Israel's legal representatives possibly be taking?! What possible arguments could they offer against what this brilliant woman has so eloquently expressed to the court? To argue against what's been happening in the Gaza strip is itself morally reprehensible. They're doing it for money, of course, perhaps national pride in some cases, but the case is clearer than clear. Israel has bombed a strip of land about as long as the road from my home in Johannesburg to our capital city Pretoria, a strip of land belonging to a sovereign people, into the ground and buried doctors, journalists, nurses, women, men and children, most by far innocent of all responsibility for the conflict, in mass graves under the sites of demolished hospitals! "Ceasefire now" seems an almost empty cry when all things are really taken into consideration, but without it, we are all guilty of allowing this to happen, and by Lucifera and the goddess who is Justice herself, we WILL all pay the price.
I know the law moves slowly but it does work strongly.
They will meet their true destiny, no doubt. What was still remains, fate is a fickle .....
