Im getting my hair loc’d tomorrow and have really appreciated your videos (that i will continue to watch lol). Im really excited to start my loc journey and thank you for all the advice 💜💜
Love your channel ❤ thank you 🙏 I just started my short baby locs two weeks ago. I am so use to washing my TWA everyday. Now that I am locing I haven’t washed my hair for two weeks. Fortunately, I haven’t had any itching of the scalp yet. Can’t wait to wash my starter locs.
More tips from a Loctician: -Drink water -Eat more nuts so your body can produce more oils -Stop putting oils on your scalp -See a DR; Dermatologist etc -Exercise -Get an allergy test -Add astringent product to the scalp after sweating.
I started my loc journey in November, but I've noticed a lot of buildup on my scalp since the weather has gotten hotter. I've mainly been using rosewater on my hair and haven't really touched my oils in a couple months. I was thinking it was mainly sweat related and this video tells me I'm on the right track. Hopefully after this acv rinse things will improve. Thanks for the video and advice.
You’re welcome for the advice! Also, I have another video coming that I just filmed a few days ago on how to do an apple cider vinegar rinse that’s less harsh than the other rinses I have been seeing
I got my locs on March 4th of this year and recently had a retwist on the first of April my hair hasn’t been washed yet but can I spray water on my scalp or would that not help?
It depends on what type of moisturizer you have. If its lightweight-like water based or aloe based then yes mizing with essential oils is good for the scalp. If you're talking about a creme based scalp moisturizer, i would re-think putting it on the scalp.
@@holisticflo typo yeah I have brain cancer. I just grew my hair back. Doctor gave me six months to live in 2010. Told my mom to make the funeral arrangements in my family. I just blew my hair back for like six months.

Yes you should spray your scalp, consider adding aloe to your mix of spray
How did you put in your shells
Good Q. I wanna know too lol
I used a bobby pin to thread the bead onto my hair. I should probably make a video about it soon. Thanks for the question!
I'm 1 week in on my starter locs, when can I wash them?
@@exirummRL i would recommend 2 weeks-1 month out, but use your intuition and best judgement also
@@holisticflo Thank you for your knowledge, I hope my dreads turn out as majestic as yours.
What product do you use? I might have to switch up due to Michigan winter weather

Hi and yes it can
So if I just mix my moisturizer with my essential oils I don’t have to oil my scalp after moisturizing?

@@holisticflo yes I mixed some rosewater with aloe juice and some tea tree oil with black Jamaican castor oil

Question, how often do you get those spot locks done? I just started.
