- Because of Mechanical problems and inspections all LFS HEVs are being pulled from service
So many Manhattan LFS HEVs were sent to 126 depot for storage
This is one of the few times we see this depot in use to store buses
Again I had to get permission from employees to get this shot inside this former bus depot. Do not trespass into bus depots to get footage. Always ask employees first, you may get lucky
Personally this is the first time in years I had seen this depot this active
Hopefully you enjoy this rare footage of 126st depot - Авто/Мото
I love these nova buses, hope they fix the problem soon
Damn I was just on 9669 as a 96/106 the other day oh how thing change so fast
I despise these busses, they’re made right here just north of Montreal at Nova Bus.. we’ve been stuck with them since the early 2000’s, and only now is our city giving New Flyers a chance.. these things are worse in the winter.
Personally, I always vacate to Montreal since 2009 until 2019. These Novabuses are always your strict fleet when it comes to durability standard they need due to snow slipperage probably. Back then, your city used to have others like the Fishbowls and MCI Classics until 2012, they become fully LFS fleet. They should've have something else for a long time, but an XE40 can be gritty on snow like our XE60s here since 2019
@@AutomotiveTaurus trust me when i tell you they’re terrible in the snow, first there are no winter tires, they cut grooves into the tires for winter and it’s still not good, not to mention traction is bad.. when we have snowstorms often you find them unable to move in the middle of the street, and the articulated versions are even worse, they lose traction and fold in half. They were never practical, they stuck with them for so long because it was supporting Quebec businesses basically, but i think they’re fed up, New Flyers have been popping up multiple cities across the province.
last time i saw inside was when archaeologists were digging up dead slaves.
I'm very disappointed. I was hoping these buses will finally give the MTA a cleaner fleet that they can be very proud of. Guess that will not be the case for a while.
The New York City taxpayer is going to be pissed seeing this.
Closed 126 Street depot is running again to store the lemon LFS HEVs!
The LFS HEV is a good bus just the rear door design wasn't properly tested
@@Transit_Studios Also AC and transmission problems
That dude at 4:38 failed the bus roadeo there
HOLD UP MATE
What type of mechanical problems the buses have?
Many problems. Door problems etc
@@keitho.sylvan1137 Like the rear door for example? Since this bus and other newest buses used a different type of rear doors?
@@dangelohartley5977 yeah
@@keitho.sylvan1137 Now I'm concerned about our Proterras that uses that type of rear door
@@dangelohartley5977 the XDE40s and the 2021 XD40s with the XDE specs also use those
Why did this depot close?
it was built ontop of a burial for slaves.
It's a maintenance depot?
Isn’t 126th Street depot the Amsterdam Depot now?
No, 126 street is a separate depot that closed in 2015 after Mother Clara Hale got rebuilt.
Were you allow to go Depot or no. If not, nevermind. 👍🏻
I was allowed to get a shot inside the depot ( last clip ) . Never did I think I’d get this lucky
However I do advise everyone to ask permission from employees first ( like I did )
@@keitho.sylvan1137 did they cover up the trenches from when they were digging for the slaves?
so it really isn't "defunct"
it is, they just use it for storage before it gets demolished and turns into a archaelogical sight
