I'm curious about what women did during times of war. Like, what did they do when men were off on campaign? What did they do when seiges happened on their settlements (like, did they help support the defenders? If so, how?). I'd be interested to learn what they did in such difficult times.
they probably helped witeh logisctics like providing food and taking care of the wounded in the case of the siges and when the man where on campaings they had to take ceare of the family even more ... the busnisnes farms etc ...
Since it was mostly nobles until the later middle ages, the women would run the manors that the nobles owned I'm not entirely sure if there was a procedure for the wives of peasant foot soldiers for the later middles ages, but the video seems to refer to the high middle ages anyways. The era were the military is almost entirely vassal knights and lords, who are nobles
If you think about it, not a lot has changed just the people and labels. While women arnt considered property anymore the class system is still in effect in a lot of ways while the corporations and govt rule with immunity to the rules we follow.
Cool video! A next one could be about all those women that dressed as men for many reasons (personal gains or sense of duty, etc.) and in some cases got confused as as men until their death.
Next should b on "The Life of Men in the Middle Ages". While they may've been more in control and free, I'm sure they had some hardships. There is a vid on "Sexuality in Middle Ages", but it doesn't say about how LGBT was then, so that's another vid idea to b made. I'm also wondering how life was for both gender in the Middle and Far East regions?
LGB was suppressed by the Church. There was likely homosexual affairs, but we don't have much indication in records. T didn't even exist at the time Men did most of the farming and did a lot of the trading. Noble men were often soldiers, who spent all of their young lives doing war or tournaments, especially in the later middle ages as knights became inefficient. They would marry in their 30s-40s, though we're not exactly sure for peasant men. Monks often were potbellies that ran their place like hospitals and inns, but were also some of the most learned and educated, being most of the intellectuals. Clergy often ran festivals and taught to the best of their ability, but often had to contend with armies except for in England and Scandinavia. For most, it was a laborious, shorter, and very religious life.

💛 all your video's mate 👍.
Wonder what would have happened if there was social media back then.

Church would have banned it.
They did.
They were just heavily censored on how social it can be, by the church and Christianity 🤣😂
Woke dark day's
Ooooof so much would be “cancelled” so fast 😂😂😂
Fascinating informative video on what life was like for women in the Middle Ages marriages social status families etc. were decided by the men
A lot of information to take in from that time

Out of curiosity, are there other things about what women did in medieval times that you know of?
All the women’s bangs are shaved or plucked far back which was beautiful back then as you can see in this picture
no comments.
This really misses the mark.
Why do you say so?

Men experience a lot of hardships historically speaking such as being disposable when it comes to war
Midival times were weird. I guess this is what happens when men are completely in charge of making decisions
ρяσмσѕм 😏
I can’t stand this anymore…PLEASE it is WOMEN not WOMAN plural ffs!
