First and foremost I want to thank everyone who took the time out to comment thanks for the love and support. Even the trolls thank you. My wife and I are HAPPY HEALTHY AND STILL MARRIED. SHE LISTENS TO ME ALOT MORE 😂😂. More importantly I AM COMPLETELY DRUG FREE. NO MORE WEED EITHER. Being on the show forced both my wife and I to make some much needed life altering decisions. I sought the treatment I desperately needed on my own accord with the love and support of my WIFE and FAMILY. The way I initially went about my addiction was wrong in so many ways. Mainly because I was dishonest about it. Marriage is a sacred union in my opinion and lies definitely taint the purity of that union. Being an addict is a disease albeit may be a self perpetuating disease but it’s a disease nonetheless. With proper treatment one can recover wholly from addiction. That doesn’t take away the pain that one’s addiction may have caused. However with Love honesty and accountability one can start to mend those broken or damaged relationships. I won’t get on here and preach or profess to be special. I wanted to change and was given the opportunity to do so for myself and my family and I ran with it. Too often however people lose the battle to addiction. My heart and prayers go out to anyone dealing with addiction in any capacity. Whether you’re an addict or love an addict. It is a struggle. Struggles however strengthen so I’m grateful. Omnia vincit amor ;et nos cedamus amori. Love conquers all; so let us too yield to love. Be blessed all. Everyone can change if they’re willing to so don’t just count an addict out. However know your threshold and be willing to make the difficult choices for you and yours. Just don’t be too quick to judge. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. I hope everyone has a blessed day and maybe our story can help someone who’s gone through or is going through something similar
This was a very vulnerable and powerful case! I commend you both for remaining in love and so happy to hear progress and not regression! Keep love alive❤

I really hope he can get himself together and stick with his treatment. Thank you Judge Star for offering the help. I wish that man the best on his journey.
@G5 Kids Addiction runs on both sides of my family. As such, I decided never to drink, smoke, or to do drugs by the time I was 7. However, I was also born with a significant disability. As a result, there have been times I've been put on various pain killers to deal with symptoms stemming from it. Interestingly, I've never become addicted. I was talking about it with my mom one day and realized why. Since I'm accustomed to dealing with a certain amount of pain anyway, I only take just enough pain killers, so that the pain is also tolerable and I can still function. Even though I was never told to, I guess this is how I naturally ween myself off stuff. I've never had withdraws or anything. To this day, there are times when I go to drs. appts., where I see people fall asleep in chairs because they are on so many medications.
@@lodigipson6743 I'm sorry for your loss. I'm younger than that. There are people I went to school with that passed away at 27 and 35 and stuff. Things are crazy these days. I see a lot of younger people getting cancer and stuff, too. It's crazy out here.
Go Judge!!! I am loving this show now!! I thought no one would be a good as Judge Toler but Judge Star brings a whole new sauce to the show!!! Loving her bluntness!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This episode made me cry. Growing up with a father who was addicted to dugs was the worst thing that has happened to my family. You really don't understand the damage addict parents bring to their children. He seems like a good hearted person and so was my dad, but that didn't stop the damage he caused. If he can't change she has to leave for the sake of her kids.
@ Shamari, I'm sorry for your pain. I understand this 💯 as I grew up with a former drug addict for a parent- only it was my mother. People don't understand the catastrophic damage that dealing with this does to your childhood and the everlasting damage is caused over the years well into adulthood. I hate to say this but abandonment by a parent who is still alive, but is not present makes you feel as if your an orphan. I think the worse is when parents just expect you to accept the past, without any understanding and compassion for the damage it actually caused.
Star is doing a wonderful job I really love everything she is doing-she’s fly, direct, compassionate, thoughtful, intelligent and doesn’t let people slide with BS!
His wife doesn't listen, but the trauma she's been through, it seems that that the trust has been broken, and she's paranoid of what he is doing. I am glad he was able to speak the truth and admit his addiction, and that he wants help. They seem like a loving family, and I pray that they will make it through. To many broken black families due to the cause of addiction, and other things that affect our race of people.
I love that they both told each other how much they cared for each other and the family they have together. The other thing is it sounds like he also needs pain management for his injury. Back pain is the worst and can be debilitating. I’m quite sure the drug that he was using for pain was Oxy. We all know from what we’ve seen in the news that OXY is very addictive and it needs to be taken off the market.
I almost got hooked on it too from my pain. It can quickly turn to a more harmful drug than helpful. I had to decide natural remedies cuz I noticed I couldn't go without it. Once I took it instantly my mind told me there was no more pain, when in reality I just took it in and it's not even in effect yet.

Yes!!! There are ways to treat back pain without the addictive pain killers!! I have Spinal Stenosis and Degenerate Disc Disease. I get steroid injections in my spine every 3 months. Can i just say that ALL I saw every time the camera showed the husband was Leon (Aka "David Ruffin") from the Five HeartBeats! (the way he looked in his glasses made him look so similari to david RUffin from the show) I could not shake it. In any case, I am happy they decided to work things out. His wife most definitely loves him. That was never in doubt as I watched this episode. As for the husband, I am happy he admitted his shortcomings and promised to do better. As they walked out, I was definitely hoping things worked out for them.
Doctors ate too quick to prescribe the heavy duty pain meds instead of sending them to a pain management specialist!! If more drs would only prescribe strong pain meds TEMPORARILY and get these people into Pain management, there would be less people addicted to pain meds!!!
I’m not with y’all on this one.. It all sounds like lip service to me.. I hate cases like this.. If someone’s personal proclivities deviate so far left from the person you’re with then you need to leave.. This isn’t a healthy or safe situation for anyone involved.. Substance abuse is no laughing matter.
This is a sad case!! both of them are young that have a child together. I have to give him props for admitting he have a drug problem & wants help for not only for himself, for his family also as well. her being worried as she showing concern for him maybe one thing but for her to be jumping down his throat, throwing darts 🎯 at him & especially..cutting him off every time he is speaking..making it more difficult for him to not want help. yes he might need help with his addition but there are some flaws that she needs to work on with herself as well. at the end of the day..their child is the one that need both parents.

He seems like a good guy despite the drug use. Better than some of these other men who come on this show. I truly hope he can get the help he needs for her and the kids. She is beautiful and I wish them nothing but the best ❤
Good guy despite the drug use - say that out loud and see if still makes sense 🤦🏿♀️tf

This is why they need to follow up, producers I'm begging start from the beginning. Prayers for this family.
This lady is trying to break a generational curse.
I love them already sm. I hope they can situate their issues and work it out.
Judge Mathis can learn a thing or two about compassion dealing with drug addicts from Star.
Love Star's outfits 😍😍
Precious young couple thank you judge ⭐ for helping them ❤️
Can i just say that ALL I saw every time the camera showed the husband was Leon (Aka "David Ruffin") from the Five HeartBeats!
Drs dont give a crap until they're sued!!!
Let him go before you lose, yourself.
Them contacts she wearing are making my eyes hurt, SERIOUSLY 💯
🤣🤣
This is a sad case!! both of them are young that have a child together. I have to give him props for admitting he have a drug problem & wants help for not only for himself, for his family also as well. her being worried as she showing concern for him maybe one thing but for her to be jumping down his throat, throwing darts 🎯 at him & especially..cutting him off every time he is speaking..making it more difficult for him to not want help. yes he might need help with his addition but there are some flaws that she needs to work on with herself as well. at the end of the day..their child is the one that need both parents.
I pray that he recovers...I can see he is loving man..I believe he can do it with help of God with the professional help
