I totally agree the metal health system in our country is well and truly broken. The demand outstrips what help is available. My son needed some counselling and it took 4 months to get to see someone. My work colleague had a breakdown and was turned away unless she was suicidal there was no help for her. Until you need help you don’t realise the help is not there.
Totally agree! They end up talking! Talk is cheap, ACTIONS speak louder than words! ENOUGH! Enough of the talk. That’s changed NOTHING! CHANGE MUST happen PERIOD!
ALL LOVE and our oneness-tears for all the darling families of the darling souls taken so wrongly and too, too soon. May you find peace, somehow.... And may our collective, nation-wide concern somehow reach you all and maybe even soften a little of your unbearable loss. 😢💛. In our hearts we are one with you.
Joel Cauchi fed his demons rather than keeping them in check. I know schizophrenics who remain on medication life long and won't harm a soul. Joel fed into his demons, his insecurities and jealousy and frustration. So he travelled down from a rural town into a upper middle class area of sydney full of happy successful people and dragged them into his world of misery. He allowed his worse instincts to run wild so he died a worthless excuse for a human, at least he couldn't take the much higher value away from his victims. May they rest in peace and may he be forgotten.
@@nedime2468 Joel should also have taken responsibility for himself when he would have undoubtedly known his mind was starting to slip and get himself back on the medication.
I understand this mother's incredible pain, but to say that shopping centre is the most dangerous place in the world, has been stated with deep emotion. No shopping centre is 'the most dangerous place in the world'.
I have no words. This mother has been robbed of her daughter's life.
Heartbreaking 💔 Thanks for sharing your feelings and coping mechanisms. Condolences for your loss 💐
Still so incomprehensible....Our hearts forever broken.

How? Where do we start?
Schizophrenia is serious but manageable with meds. Ridiculous.
Yes it’s so manageable but you must stay on medication
he was homeless... he wasn't supported the way he should have been. He should never have ended up in that circumstance to get to that point.
@@liandajane3207 yes I know o agree
It's not always manageable with medication there is treatment resistance schizophrenia
@@ann-mareelyttle4931 yes my ex husband has it he goes up and down like a yo-yo it’s such a difficult I’ll mess

His psychiatrist should be fired which psychiatrist thinks it's a good idea to take him off the medication
@@nedime2468 Joel should also have taken responsibility for himself when he would have undoubtedly known his mind was starting to slip and get himself back on the medication.
@@puglife6291exactly what i said.
@@puglife6291 please research his diagnosis and anosognosia to learn why your claim "he should have taken responsibility for himself" is false.
What an awful human you are.
After watching this , I can’t control myself sobbing 😭
People can't AFFORD to be monitored by a psychiatrist for the long term.

The emotion was her experience though. Of course shopping centres are not dangerous but her statement came from her loss
She was saying that at that time it was the most dangerous place. Don’t think she meant all the time
No where is safe. That includes your home, school, workplace even shopping online. Predators are everywhere!
She meant it was dangerous for the victims…. Not generally - it is from their perspectives not ours
Horrrible innoncent lives taken so sad
Due to someone off meds not on
Until we meet again 🕯️🕊️
There is only two things that politicians are interested in making money and being re elected they are also like to dance on the world stage
Absolutely horrifying 😞
Heartbreaking this incomprehensible tragedy is! Forever broken 💔
We def need to bring back asylums.
Government would just outsource and privatise them. That means they would have to be profitable and financially viable to remain open.
