He's fast, and Tucker Kraft is a brute. Im just glad that GB drafted ANY TE's and happy with 2 high rated guys.
i love tucker. but can musgrave break one tackle?
@@dodu8281 musgrave seemed like a panic pick once the raiders jumped us for Mayer (which i saw coming a mile away) That being said he IS very talented but hes ALWAYS hurt
Over exaggerating
Lol bothered me every time he came up short for a first down.
That QB didn't exactly have that Carson Palmer arm with the downfield throws.
U came here thinking ...lemme see who he is ......not great....please don't get him....sad for foster moreou with the cancer that was gonna be our te....I wanted to draft Mike gesicki.butvthe dolphins got em..but what do in know..I fukn tired of this shit ...why can't the fans of raider nation buy the team and we all make decisions like a poll ....we would not l9se....funny ...tell Mark Davis we the people will bring back the greatness to the organization ❤ 💯
I thought the same. He has good hands, but doesn't play like a tight end should...not physical enough for my liking.
If he's not falling down his own, just blow on him and he'll crumble!! What a softy draft pick!! Do the scouts even watch the tape??
@@vegasj305 from the tape, I completely agree. I see nothing special in this guy despite him being the fastest te in the draft. He’s small framed, doesn’t look to have amazing hands, doesn’t even pass the eye test honestly. Looking at his frame there’s no way he can seal the edge for Aaron jones or AJ dillon. I know we got a 2nd guy who’s more of a blocker, but I really don’t like this pick at all. I hope I’m wrong n if Luke sees this, no disrespect. I welcome all packers w open arms, let’s just see what you bring to the table.
His movement before and after catch is quite different. His speed and acceleration on his release is elite especially on posts and goes, but the moment he has the ball in his hand it seems like he doesn't have the same gear. I agree with all the commentary about his legs looking to thin and that he doesn't break tackles well either.
Thats exactly what I was thinking watching this. He's practically falling forward immediately after the catch lol and the first tackle gets him down every time
He doesn’t want to get hit that’s what it looks like
He’s gonna get POPPED on sundays. I really hope not but running like that he sure as hell will.
He will definitely be more of the inside field stretcher and kraft will be the wcross the middle guy.
Randy moss never broke a tackle in his career.
That qb making crazy passes with no blocking at all.
Damn, Chance Nolan, had pretty good numbers and could rush, he could obviously ball as we can see here, he was on award watchlists too.
A neck injury sidelined him, then he transfered to TCU and never ended up suiting up to play for em.
He's only 24 as of rn too.
Kinda sad, cuz ur right.. dude had potential.
I think he's so fast for his size that even a breeze throws him off balance.
Reminds me of Jimmy Grahams Packers days where IF he even caught it, he'd tackle himself by tripping over his own feet
who’s here after the Packers pick?? Go Pack Go 🔥🔥
He looks like Jimmy Graham when he played for Green Bay....in the sense a slight breeze would knock him to the ground after making a catch. A TE should be able to break tackles 😂
@@aaronseidl5941 but his hands are glue. This is an interesting pick lol.
@@aaronseidl5941 I wanted JSN/Mayer originally but the way our draft has panned out can’t be too upset at Gutey plus two extra picks lol
I like it but I wanted Washington that is a TE
@@jaymx95 You certainly can be upset with pick #45 giving DET the best S in the draft and following it up with drafting Reed 🤢
He doesnt do that well at the point of contact, but I get the sense that many of these passes were thrown in positions where he was left vulnerable down low. A lot of extending to reach the ball. An NFL level Qb could help that
LOTTA hospital balls, 1st thing I noticed. Maybe he'll get more YAC w Jordan love (unless love is a bust)
Who's here after watching him get tackled by the grass in his first NFL game.. this guy's center of gravity is all in his neck
I'm here after watching him drop a ball and fall for no apparent reason last week. Dude is a weirdo on the field. I knew he would be a bust.
Excited to see him as the move TE with kraft inline.
The dude looks like Vernon Davis before the catch and Monday night Joe Namath after the catch.
Absolutely understand why the packers got him - they love the play action short pass to the TE in the flat and tried it continually with Deguara but Musgrave has much better acceleration and get get much better separation.
Really releases and gets down the seam quickly. Immediate improvement for Green Bay.
Excellent slot catcher; very tough... hangs on to the ball in tough situations. But very little ability to pick up yards after the catch. Will help the Packers as a slot receiver (TE) with Jordan Love. Love will be able to throw it up and have a guy come down with it. Can catch like Jordy Nelson, but Jordy was great picking up additional yards. The size of Musgrave should help on the line blocking. I think it is a good pick for the Packers.
Catches about everything, which can be all you need, but feels like his legs are going to give out and he dies at the point of impact. That is concerning because he’s a bigger guy for health/injury and RAC potential
Can he get past the first defender…EVER?
Doesn't matter, he already caught the ball
My exact thought
@@whizkid00000 we’re talking about the NFL, not college. If he can’t get past a 3rd level college defender…he won’t get past NFL second level defenders to make the catch. LBs and Safety’s will make an example of him
He broke 2, TWO, tackles in his college career lol. But I suppose being the field stretchers, he won't have to break too many. Let kraft do the dirty work.
Re: after the catch. It's pretty hard to tell, because his QB consistently led him straight into traffic/threw behind him/to the wrong shoulder etc. I mean, it actually highlights just how good Musgraves hands are, because that QB is atrocious. Also, Tucker Kraft IS very hard to bring down, but after his catch and RAC, he's reached the point where Musgrave already was, when he made HIS receptions, so... LOL
Like how he attacks the ball with his hands even when he’s open.
This kid is the next elite TE.. sheesh.. dude has WR/RB wiggle with TE size.
...he does? Looks like he went down at first contact pretty much all the time. He rarely put any moves on anyone and he has a terrible eye for the sticks. Also doesn't block well, so he'll get his QB killed at some point.
@MST3Killa are you blind? He picked up a shit load of first downs in this video.
@@MST3Killa not sure if we watched the same video. I'll agree, probably not the best blocker though. My team had Darren waller, probably the worst blocking TE, and it wasn't the end of the world.
He's so clumsy lol I love him though
Dudes smart preserving his body and.brain
Exactly
Goes down at first contact with ease.. doesn’t fight for a single extra yard after contact. 3rd round and after.. and a #2 TE..
Nah, this is Packers #1 guy who they traded Aaron Rodgers for. This is the F-ing future of GB, baby!
If you can't tell, I hate this pick.
He has a big catch radius with good hands but what I don't like about him is that anybody could barely touch him and he's flat on the ground immediately, the defender doesn't even have to put effort into it. I need someone that can break tackles after the catch, it'll make a world of difference.
Mike Gesicki cant break a tackle to save his life. He was also a 2nd round pick and makes a big impact in the game. People expect every player to be perfect or they automatically suck. Get over yourself.
Travis Kelce led all NFL tight ends in broken tackles with 13 and that was on 110 catches. The best tight end in football whos gonna be a 1st ballot hall of famer only breaks a tackle once every 10 catches. Yeah its nice, but its not the be all end all trait to look for in a tight end.
Balance needs work
Yes need my tight end to be hard to bring down. He plays like a tall receiver maybe a red zone guy but not physical enough for me.
Looks like he can contribute to titletown. I love the intangibles. Just wish he’d show a bit more fight. he gave up like a reciever does when they’re surrounded by db’s on a slant, but he’ll do it in a 1 on 1 scenario. He’s gotta lower his shoulder, make them feel him, look em in the eye and let ‘em know that that’s gon be all night long 💯💯
It aint easy when youre 6'6" being tackled my dbs trying to take your knees out.
@@williamhermann6635 show me a tight end who goes down like that IN HIS HIGHLIGHT REEL. These are his HIGHLIGHTS. I didn’t see a single play that showed some dawg.
@@fliptactics2524 Mike Gesicki. Dude cant break a tackle to save his life and still makes a big impact on games, especially in the redzone.
@@fliptactics2524 he’ll be fine a lot of these were horrible throws by the qb and a few hospital balls as well, we can assume love is going to put it on him with room to rumble downfield
Not many highlights here 😅
Only played 2 games last year
I think Tucker Kraft is gonna be TE1 over this kid. I really dont see much to make me excited about this guy.
So he can catch, maybe the best pass catching TE in the draft, but can't gain yards after the catch
I'll take it for a day 2 tbh
Everyone here is criticizing his lack of yac. Just because he has the label tight end doesn't mean he has to play like one. His intangibles, ability to get open, amazing speed at 6'6", catches everything, holds onto the ball after getting clobbered, being a 6'6" red zone target, make him a 6'6" receiver. Yall are looking at him the wrong way. The packers are smarter than you
More of an athlete than anything imo.
I agree
He doesn’t have the strength of Mayer or the body control of Kincaid to get those extra yards.
He has the hands, size, and speed to be an elite TE in the NFL, but he either needs to put on muscle or work on his RAC moves. Preferably both. If he goes to the right team, he could be the best TE from this draft.
You literally just described an average TE in today's NFL lol
@@jeffb.4800 He's much more athletic than your avg. TE.
Are you a scout, Will he be in the hall of fame.
You don't have to be a scout to know he's fast. He ran a 4.61 40, 87th percentile for TEs, publicly available info.
This is Allen Lazards replacement. He's not a TE. He should convert to WR like Lazard did.
There’s definitely something to say about his yac production but the sample size is small and there weren’t too many opportunities for him to really get in a position to do much. Think in after a couple seasons of nfl conditioning and more opportunities he’ll use his athletic ability better
Athletic in a straight, but dude can't break a tackle for his life and has minimal wiggle. Jury is still out. Ton of potential, but we will see!
Clumsiest man in the NFL
I just saw the NFL mock draft and they said the Cowboys will pick him so I had to come see
Surely the cowboys aren't this stupid
Worst pick ever 😂
@@brycechoppa9135 they say every year about Dallas picks, I don't like cowgirls ..but you can't deny they know how to draft players
Wish we had him for the USC game
Reminds me of Dalton Shultz.
Welcome to Green Bay! #GoPackGo!
Even from this highlight video it seems like he was utilized horribly. The vast majority of his routes are quick outs or underneath routes from the Y, with the occasional 10 yard over mixed in. It’s gonna be sweet to see him run some deep routes with how fast he eats up ground.
So he's always been stumbling 🤣
I said the same thing watching this like “damn he been doing this since college days” 😂😂😂
Packers fan here after the pick
Doesn't look good to me. Seen other tape, and he doesn't block well. He has some speed, but he doesn't use it well. Same with his size. He goes down at first contact very easily and he does a terrible job with awareness knowing the yardage he needs. I'm seriously unimpressed, and this is all coming after he only played 2 games last year after a significant injury. ...So... no promise he'll even been be near as good as we see in these highlights just based on his injury alone.
I truly despise Gute.
Man just needs to work on that foot work after the catch, but runs great routes and good hands.
Drafting a TE like thus will make Jordan's life alot easier glad he's a Packer 🧀
A QB's best friend
It's actually making Love look bad. He is not an NFL starter.
There’s like 2-3 plays where he does make guys miss, he just needs to be decisive and commit to staying in bounds more rather than getting forced to the sideline and settling for a shoulder truck on a defender.
That, and he needs to check his YAC trajectory more before he catches the ball in stride so he takes the best smoothest path rather than forcing himself to do an awkward transition to go directly north-south. It’s like he wants to make a big play so bad that he tunnel visions and doesn’t realize there’s more options in front of him in real time where he can make an even bigger play.
I expect that the game will slow down for him in that playmaking sense though since OSU was always a run first team through his time there and he only became the main feature guy until his last year where he only played 2 games. He just needs to get comfortable in that regular pass catching role and soon his game will take off as he finds the nuances in making bigger plays.
One thing I love though is that aside from the YAC concern, he has great ball security in those tough hits he took. That will be important when he begins to stay in bounds more looking to make guys miss. Constantly has both arms and hands on the football when a guy gets near. Hopefully he expands his game more for the stiff arm too though so he doesn’t just let guys come at him and instead runs for extra yards. Lots to love still and most of his concerns are fixable.
Seam buster and skyscraper catch radius GO PACK GO
People say he drops easy but I’m over here thinking, less likely to get injured… why sit there and fight thru tackles and risk injury when you can just make a good catch and protect your body, we will see if that changes in the nfl and if he starts making it tougher to get tackled
Didn’t see him break a single tackle. You should draft the quarterback. He is very impressive. In the pocket or on the move.
I don't see it
We got one of the best tight ends! GOPACKGO
Good hands but this dude goes down instantly after being touched. And his highlight reel is just him being a yard short of either a TD or 1st down haha.
Welcome to Green Bay 💚💛💚💛
Nothing like drafting rotational players early in the draft. I'd fire everyone in green Bay.
Go Pack Go
Welcome to the pack🦾🦾🦾
As a Packers fan I hate the pick. I wanted Darnell Washington so bad….. Musgrave is Jace Sternberger 2.0
Jace Sternberger isnt athletic at all, compare the numbers of these two and you'll see.
For his size he goes down to easily.Plus can he block?
Honestly, one of my least favorite prospects. He dealt with injuries and most of his hype is based off "athletic ability"
He has a sound technique that can be developed and that’s exactly what you need to develop for the NFL.
Anyone else here because of the Packers?
Draft jus brung me here.
Welcome to GB ! Now do your job help us win another title we need title back home ..
He’s a long receiving TE with almost no YAC ability. Goes down on contact immediately.
his ass always falling😂 thats my TE tho
Well hopefully the Packers wont play him on a windy day. Needs to work on his legs so he can stay on his feet and get the first down.
Projected 2-3 rounder but I see him more as a day 3 to be honest
Same tbh
Go pack go baby
Please God don't let the Packers fall for this trap. This is another Jace Sternberger in the making.
...Welp... You might want to have a conversation with Mr. Gute on this one.
@@MST3Killa I can't with this guy man. I hate Gute more than Ted...
@@sjwdestroyer6336 He's one of the worst for talent evaluation I've ever seen. He's blown so many premium picks (1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders) it's actually unbelievable he hasn't been fired already. He's a total joke.
@@MST3Killa He is a part of the new generation front office that only wants to build a mid team and keep revenue flowing. They will not take any risks under any circumstances. They care more about constant revenue than building a championship roster and until the fans stop showing support it will continue to be this way sadly.
lmaoooo
Welcome to Green Bay Packers!!!!
Dude falls to the ground in the open field
Looks good catching but absolutely zero YAC
Welcome to the packers 🧀
Go pack go!
Dude can't stay on his feet....
Fr !!! How didn’t. The packers see this craft much better after catch and he went in 3rd round
And he falls on his own just by catching ball 😂
He’s a bronco Harry 🧙♂️
Dalton Schultz clone. Not a top 50 pick crazy how he's being put there.
Schultz yes, solid player but just no physicality or juice
Looks like a sack of old motes I have laying around in my cabvent.
Very low college production, doesn't even have 700 receiving yards for his whole career.Luke is a downfield threat.Runs in 4.5s so some team will select him off of potential alone.
To be fair this did look like his breakout season before he got injured.
He not that bad to be honest, the scheme was built for him too take a huge workload which you saw he was taking mean hits.
2 tds he scored his whole career
Byron Jones cb only had like 1 interception his whole career in the nfl and bearly got his 2nd when he joined the dolphins I think, as long as there on the field making plays thats all that matters
How did he go before Tucker craft he can’t keep his feet under him for the life of him breaks no tackles
Lol, this guy can't break any tackles at all. Hell, he can barely run on his own at times
Ppl thought the same about AJ Dillon when he was drafted
Zero YAK, literally watched it again and he just goes down. He also doesn’t have any body control.
Looks promising... although, pretty sure my 4 year old daughter could tackle this guy.
BUST
Well shit...welcome to the Packers
welcome to green bay
Dude doesn't know where the down markers are, that's for sure
Red zone threat come Sunday’s
Might be Mike Gesicki 2.0 so I hope Dolphins don’t draft him.
That's what a lot of these TE prospects looking like...No yards after the catch smh I want Miami to take Washington, Mayer, LaPorta or Kuntz
On that 4th and 12, he was going against a DB one on one a yard away from the sticks. You're way bigger than he is! Lower your shoulder and pick up the first down. I don't understand all the dancing.
who here after packers desfted
Wthell?
Sure would be nice to see him break a tackle once in a while.
This dude hits the ground with just the slightest contact.
Tucker Kraft has way more toughness then this kid.
Hopefully Tucker can teach him a few things.
Hit the weight room, kid.
You’re gonna need it, desperately.
*4th fastest TE in the draft
Are the other guys 6'6
@@bradkoehler3140 Kuntz is 6'7 and ran a 4.55, but he's extremely raw.
@4:19 it shows everything you need to know, 4th and 12, runs a bad route and has no ability to break tackles and get the yards. I think this pick will be a bust.
Not much of a YAC guy, so if he's not past the sticks chances are he's not getting you the 1st down!!
He falls down ALOT
If giants get him please 3rd round and lower I don’t see the hype. Looks like college scheme more than anything
I really want to be impressed with this guy but I'm just not. Rounds his routes, can't seem to break a tackle or get upfield after the catch. Had a lot of drops, too. I hope I am way wrong; good thing I'm not an NFL scout, lol
Better hit him in the end zone so he doesn't get turf tackled.
He’s fucking 6 6
Soft as grapes,,,horrible contact balance
Great another injury prone TE wonderful..smh
So many armchair gms in these comments pretending they know something. Seriously, why arent ya'll working for NFL teams? Stick to madden and fantasy football, rookies.
Looks like we knew what we were talking about.
@@TheBrotherHoodSports Huh? Hes 7 games into his career. Very few tight ends breakout as rookies.
Looks like they were right...
@@tyroneswift4004 Why? Cuz Tucker Kraft is insane and passed him on the depth chart? Dont confuse Tucker Kraft being a budding superstar for Musgrave not being good.
@@tyroneswift4004 And the clown who commented above me only hated Musgrsve cuz hes white. Dude's a huge racist and even hates Matt Lafleur.
