      @@vegasj305 from the tape, I completely agree. I see nothing special in this guy despite him being the fastest te in the draft. He’s small framed, doesn’t look to have amazing hands, doesn’t even pass the eye test honestly. Looking at his frame there’s no way he can seal the edge for Aaron jones or AJ dillon. I know we got a 2nd guy who’s more of a blocker, but I really don’t like this pick at all. I hope I’m wrong n if Luke sees this, no disrespect. I welcome all packers w open arms, let’s just see what you bring to the table.

    His movement before and after catch is quite different. His speed and acceleration on his release is elite especially on posts and goes, but the moment he has the ball in his hand it seems like he doesn't have the same gear. I agree with all the commentary about his legs looking to thin and that he doesn't break tackles well either.

    Excellent slot catcher; very tough... hangs on to the ball in tough situations. But very little ability to pick up yards after the catch. Will help the Packers as a slot receiver (TE) with Jordan Love. Love will be able to throw it up and have a guy come down with it. Can catch like Jordy Nelson, but Jordy was great picking up additional yards. The size of Musgrave should help on the line blocking. I think it is a good pick for the Packers.

  • @aaiirssjoy
    @aaiirssjoy Год назад

    There’s like 2-3 plays where he does make guys miss, he just needs to be decisive and commit to staying in bounds more rather than getting forced to the sideline and settling for a shoulder truck on a defender.
    That, and he needs to check his YAC trajectory more before he catches the ball in stride so he takes the best smoothest path rather than forcing himself to do an awkward transition to go directly north-south. It’s like he wants to make a big play so bad that he tunnel visions and doesn’t realize there’s more options in front of him in real time where he can make an even bigger play.
    I expect that the game will slow down for him in that playmaking sense though since OSU was always a run first team through his time there and he only became the main feature guy until his last year where he only played 2 games. He just needs to get comfortable in that regular pass catching role and soon his game will take off as he finds the nuances in making bigger plays.
    One thing I love though is that aside from the YAC concern, he has great ball security in those tough hits he took. That will be important when he begins to stay in bounds more looking to make guys miss. Constantly has both arms and hands on the football when a guy gets near. Hopefully he expands his game more for the stiff arm too though so he doesn’t just let guys come at him and instead runs for extra yards. Lots to love still and most of his concerns are fixable.
