    One of the best modulation pedal out there in compact form!
    I'm loving the NUX pedals on my board so far!
    Thnx guys @ NUX

    That's probably the nicest sounding flanger I've heard on a multi fx pedal.

      Jeff Watkins Definitely, except for the flanger on the Dr. Scientist Bitquest. That might be my favorite flanger *ever*.

    I've bought this Nux one year ago, and the Nux drive core, it's a very very good pedal, crazy for only 30€ i've played with it on stage and every day at home, it sounds very pure and clean and no problem with the quality it's very nice and the effects, the chorus and flanger are great! very, very good deal.

    This looks and sounds like a "GREAT PEDAL" I will mainly use it clean but I would have liked to hear it dirty, and I already have all of those pedals separately, but I still want to get one, it's great to have a (all in one pedal at that size) Small and easy to use is what it's all about! A lot of punch for the buck!!! Great job Mod Core NUX! Best of luck with it...

    I have to say I rather like Nux pedals :0)
    I bought a standard Nux chorus ages ago and the build quality is superb, especially the neat battery compartment which makes changing the battery easy, instead of the usual frigging about with two jack plugs trying to lift the cover off the pedal on most other brands. More recently, I treated myself to the NUX MFX-10 and that pedal is pure genius !! The youtube Demo for it, doesn't do it justice !

    I've bought two Nux pedals (one of them was a Mod Core) and both pedals came with crappy jacks that did not connect effectively with the instrument cable. And this was right out of the box. I've also read in several forums this is a common defect in the pedals since they are made so cheaply in China.

    First of all, thanks for your great videos showing us, mainly, the chinese pedals. I've just bought three! hehe
    You always play with great tones and have a great playing too.
    I have a question about this model: do you think this univibe can handle with some Hendrix stuff? I wanna a univibe to play some Hendrix.

    I keep hearing some sort of break up of the audio on the sound especially on the Chorus and Phaser, then the U-Vibe. Is this a process of you compressing this for youtube & the audio took a hit? How does this effect your volume to the amp. I know the junkie Behringer pedals almost cut the signal in half. So for a $40 pedal I'm curious for sure. my bands name is CORE. So that would be totally cool to have on my pedal board for sure. Thanks for the demo. Do they have a distortion knockoff to a TS9

    does Reverb catagorise as modulation ...in which case it is not on this pedal .The flanger is remarkably good , i was hoping to hear Barracuda .

    • @urwholefamilydied
      @urwholefamilydied 7 лет назад

      not a modulation. Modulation has an effect that changes over time. Can be sped up or slowed down. And reverb is a pretty subtle thing... I wouldn't want reverb in an "all in one" pedal. Although there are plenty of pedals that sound good with many many different effects, including reverb. I could say the same about overdrive... I'd rather just have an overdrive pedal that I like, rather than use a multi effects pedal for it.

    • @Mist_R
      @Mist_R 7 лет назад

      John van der Valk reverb is a time effect pedal.

    • @urwholefamilydied
      @urwholefamilydied 7 лет назад

      Generally modulation pedals have a "top" and "bottom", like it swoops down to a low, and swoops back up. Reverb can be attained without even using a pedal in a gym by shouting. I never really considered it modulation or time effect. But ya... just definitions. Reverb is just reverb, I've never really tried to categorize it because it's unlike any other effect including delay.

      +MrSanSystem Thats what Nux writes on all their pedals but I dont think they take so much at all :) What they wrote was about a single adapter that is needed and they usually come as 9V / 300mA :) I have the Drive Core, Chorus and Amp sim from Nux, just ordered the Time Core too. They are very much like any other pedal and will not draw more than 100mA usually less than that :) Super great value pedals, great tone and great all metal build. Love them to bits. Nux mod force vs mod core, which is better?

    • @McDylbot
      @McDylbot 9 лет назад

      The Mod Force is basically a more comprehensive version of this pedal. The main effects are identical, but there are a load more options (with the Mod Force, you can stack 2 seperate modulation effects on top of each other, you can also save upto 9 presets which comes in really handy, and the lcd screen is really useful too). I've had one (Force) on my pedal board for over a year now, gigged with it plenty and I very highly recommend it. This one looks like a more compact alternative.

    • @FenderAndCY
      @FenderAndCY 9 лет назад

      thanks for ur comment, may i know what power supply u r using?

    • @McDylbot
      @McDylbot 9 лет назад

      I'm using standard Digitech adaptors (9v centre negative) on both my Mod Force and Time Force pedals and I've had no problems with them whatsoever. I always use seperate power supplies rather than a multi power unit. For the price, they're both great pedals.

    • @MaxPower-js1sk
      @MaxPower-js1sk 2 года назад

      @@mr_guy661 Hi. I’m not judging you, and I certainly don’t mean to be rude. I’ve been using phasers and rotary speakers since the 70s, so I’ve heard and used many models. I listened to the samples a few more times and this is what I noticed: The phaser sounds thin, whispy and very much like a frequency filter. It’s not a very good phaser sound , but it would do if you wanted a bit of phaser on a few numbers at a gig. The rotary sounds like a thin chorus with the speed turned up. I used that sound when I was a teenager until I tried a rotary speaker. A lot of rotary effects sound just like that, but it’s not like a rotary effect. NuX makes the Roctary pedal which sounds okay. It does a few different sounds. But if you like these sounds, then this is a good pedal for you. If this is a pedal you use and you like it, why would you care what another person thinks? I’m a huge fan of these effects, and I know them well. I use an MXR Custom Shop 1974 Script Phase 90, which I think sounds great, but you might hate. I bought it used for $100, which is a good price in my country. I’m sure that NuX makes a copy of it. Most orange phasers are copies. Joyo makes one. For Rotary, I use the Ventilator and the Mini Vent II. I bought them both used, but they were still very expensive (new, the Ventilator is over $900 and the Mini Vent is over $600 where I live. I paid around $350 for each of them). If you like great Rotary, the Micro Vent pedals are a good option, but they’re expensive. The Vent pedals really sound like a Leslie, but if you put them next to the real thing, they sound like crap. So it’s really about how it sounds to you. I don’t like those two sounds on this pedal, but keep in mind that I own a number of NuX pedals, so it’s not about brand snobbery. I that NuX pedals are very good, but in my experience, multi-effects pedals have to sacrifice a lot to fit everything in, so some sounds aren’t great because the pedal can’t do everything. But don’t worry about what other people think. If you like the sounds, then they are good for you. When you put stuff on RUclips, people will tell you exactly what they think, and some of them will be as nasty as possible. I hope that I wasn’t too harsh. If you you really want to know what I think of the sound, please reply to this comment. But do you really care what a retired English musician thinks?

      @@MaxPower-js1sk oh wow, sounds like you certainly know what you're talking about. Sorry if I came across a certain way, it's just I saw another demo where they used the stereo outputs, and the rotary and univibe effects seemed to have more depth at least. As for sound quality, I couldn't say, so I'm trying to get a better idea of the value for money here
      Thank you for the detailed response by the way, and for pointing me towards some other alternatives to check out

      @@mr_guy661 It just registered that you want to buy one. Try one in a guitar shop. You might want to compare it with an MXR Phase 90 and a dedicated rotary pedal. If you still like it then buy it. NUX has a phaser and a rotary pedal, and they’re pretty good. If you compare them and still like the mod core, sound-wise and cost-wise, get it. I go by the say “If it sounds good, it is good”. I’m a phaser and rotary enthusiast/nut, so the Mod Core is not for me. I’ve spent 45 years trying pedals and wasting money to get to the sound I have today. It’s a great sound to me, but you might think it’s no different, or you might hate it. NuX makes very good pedals and I have quite a few. Follow your ears and get the best you can afford. Sometimes listen to old guys like me, but follow your ears and that sound in your head. For me, the best Phaser is the MXR Custom Shop 1974 Script Phase 90, and the best rotary is the Mini Vent II, but they are expensive. If you love rotary, watch That Pedal Show’s episode on the Leslie.

      That is the function of the switch in that mode of this pedal

      I own one for years, it is still OK. I have already seen a Nux pedal stop working in the past, in fact it was due to a contact issue with the input or output jack and it was easily repaired .

      @@MrSanSystem Looks like you have some nice gear, I am surprised you don't have two amps to create stereo. I'm broke but have managed to collect a couple of amps over the years. However, even the the reviewers who have almost unlimited gear never do their demos in stereo either. Its a pain, but if you only have one Amp then its understandable. Nice review all the same.

    QUE BELA BOST@ É ESTE PEDAL. ALIÁS, PEDAIS NUX NÃO PRESTAM. ESTE MOD CORE AÍ TEM UNS TIMBRES ÓTIMOS EM TERMOS DE SONORIDADE. MAS TENHO EM CASA UMA CAIXA COM UNS 4 PEDAIS NUX COM DEFEITO. EM UM MOMENTO ESTÃO FUNCIONANDO NORMALMENTE, EM UM INSTANTE DÃO DEFEITO E TE DEIXAM NA MÃO. ATÉ BEHRINGER É MELHOR DO QUE NUX EM TERMOS DE DURABILIDADE, SÉRIO MESMO.
