we already have FOUR TEs on the roster. No one in their right mind would draft a 5th lol. Besides, Bowers doesnt block and doesnt fit Harbaugh's system. If you just want a pass catcher, one of these WRs is a MUCH better choice.
I don’t know where you got that he doesn’t block… and he would be far better than any one of the 4 already on the roster. Dissly was a great signing, the rest are just dudes.

We’d have zero WRs if we did that. Thomas Jr in a trade back up at 17 using next years 3rd and pick 23 and at 11 grab JC Latham. I’d also be fine with Quinyon Mitchell in a double trade down from 11/23 to 16/23 and scoop up a mid to late 2nd and grab the CB1 and WR 2 in Thomas JR. The dream scenario is to stick at 5, get Nabers, trade 37, and a 2025 3rd and 2026 4th to get into the late teens and still grab Latham or Terrion Arnold or Mitchell and now we have an insane WR1 and a true lockdown CB1 and Asante Samuel jr and then use our 3rd, 4th, 4th this year and snag BPA at slot WR, IDL, IOL, OT, CB, ILB. Payton Wilson would be a gem but given the injury history I’d rather have the Michigan kid in round 3
In the past, the Chargers have not maintained any contact or visits with the player they end up selecting in the first round at least... but definitely insight into later rounds.
The Chargers met with UCLA's edge rusher Laiatu Latu which is the best Edge in the draft. Since I don't think Mack & Bosa are going to be around in 2025-26 season. Latu would pair good with Tuli Tuipulotu and be the Chargers future setting the edge. Laiatu Latu could learn from Mack or Boss for a year before Tuli & Latu (if drafted by the Chargers) replaces them.. We can get a WR like LSU'S 6'4,205Ibs Bryan Thomas Jr that played opposite of Malik Nabers who ran a 4.33 at the NFL combine that can run block and has soft hands. He had 68 REC.·1,177 YDS 17 TD's. AVG. 17.3. per catch. The Chargers could draft him him in the mid to late 1st round (depending who the Chargers trade with? I'm thinking Minnesota) with the draft capital the Chargers would get from trading back & taking Laiatu Latu and taking a CB like Oregon's 6'3 194Ibs Khyree Jackson in the 2nd round.... The Chargers got to stay ready, so they don't have to get ready....
Thomas will be long gone by the 23rd pick if they trade with Minnesota. Hes projected to go to Indy at 15. No point taking him at 11 when you could take MHJ or Nabers at 5.
@@OriginalOne1960 He has played 2years after getting that neck injury with UCLA and was medically cleared to play at UCLA Because he was playing with the Washington Huskies when he got the injury And since he transferred to UCLA he has had no problems with his neck....But I hope everything team thinks that and he falls to the Chargers (if they don't trade back ) and they get him in the 2nd round with the 37th pick..Wishful thinking

Top 30 visits don't mean much. Teams are allowed to invite their top 30 player, excluded from each teams top 30 is any player that went to school within 50 miles of the team city and any player that hometown is 150 miles away. So teams will invite well more than 30 players mostly to check medicals. I read that, in the tom telesco era they only trade one player from one of these visits which was easton stick.
@@dontnonowuno9953 yeah sometimes the mocks have weird things. I was super pleased with this one over all top to bottom, dont think its possible to actually go that good :P

Why would you trade down to take an inferior WR like Thomas when you can draft an elite WR like MHJ or Nabers at 5? Makes zero sense. You can get tackles in rounds 2-6. Get Herbert an elite WR at 5.
