Islam and Ottomans did not influenced Hungary, except the genocides. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Hungary Whereas a great many of the 17,000 and 19,000 Ottoman soldiers in service in the Ottoman fortresses in the territory of present-day Hungary were Orthodox and Muslim Balkan Slavs,[6] Southern Slavs were also acting as akıncıs and other light troops intended for pillaging in the territory of present-day Hungary.[7] The Hungarian inhabitants of cities moved to other places when they felt threatened by the Ottoman military presence. Without exception, in the cities that became Ottoman administrative centers the Christian population decreased. The Hungarian population remained only in some cities, where the Ottoman garrisons were not installed.[21] From the early 17th century, Serbian refugees were the ethnic majority in large parts of Ottoman-controlled Hungary. That area included territories between the great rivers Sava, Drava, and the Danube-Tisza Interfluve (the territory between the Danube and Tisza rivers).[22]
8:20-8:30 You made a mistake: Hungary did not lose territories to Bulgaria after WW1 because Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria fought on the same side during WW1, Hungary and Bulgaria didn't share a border (unless we count their occupation zones in Serbia, but seeing how Serbia was restored as a country after the war, it's fair to say that both Hungary and Bulgaria lost territories to Serbia) and Bulgaria itself lost territories after WW1, see the Treaty of Neuilly-sur-Seine. Also, Hungary and Bulgaria were both part of the Axis during WW2 and on September 9th 1944, Bulgaria was forced to switch sides in the war by the communists, that took power with the help of the Soviets.

17:40 Control of the Media - now, in the 5th (or 4th consecutive) Fidesz/Orbán term, a tad less, than 50% of the media leans towards the government. RTL is foreign owned and is the biggest TV channel. About 50% of print media is in opposition hand. The online space is about 60% opposition, with Facebook and YT (the most popular platforms in Hungary) leaning heavily AGAINST the Orbán goverment and - unsurprisingly - cannot be controlled from Budapest.
The thing is our family when we transitioned into democracy started to go into just barely breaking even. While mszp was in charge they made horrible decisions, which led us into that bad state. Than when the fidesz get elected our lives started to became better, we started to be able to afford more and more things. So we became a good middle class family which can afford what we wanted to buy and because of that we voted for them. As you said some parties sold a lot of our things to private hands, which led to loosing our sugar farms, the airport, and a few more things, and some stuff got sold to not hungarian people so foreign people were controlling some of the stuff which we had. I wouldn't say privatization necesserally a good thing. Some things are better if it's kept as national, such as healthcare, otherwise. We gotta have the problem what is now in america, where if you just call an ambulance you gotta pay at least 1k bucks. The reason why fidesz won again, is a combination of things. Firstly did you checked what is the opposition? What do you think what will happen if the mszp which is a left party joins with a far right party called jobbik? These 2 were the biggest oppositions, which I think if they wouldn't had joined fidesz wouldn't had gotten a 2/3 of the vote again. Also like when majority of people are against some ideas and the opposition says they would do those things than they were surprised when they lost again. We also do have opposition media as multiple online outlets and a tv channel. On the internet I can access any information weather it's from opposition or from fidesz. The real problem is that the opposition is not great. All they do is say the complete opposite as of what the fidesz says and like can we have a party which just says if this one has a good policy we just gonna continue that? Than just gonna try to improve on the existing policies instead of 180 reversing every one of them? I know there are issues here, I can see that, but what crazy ideas what the opposition were saying they would do was not cutting it for us. Right now the only real opposition what I can see we have is a smaller party which got a few seats lately.
The problem doesn't seem to be Fidesz then, the corruption of mszp is legendary and would make most autocrats blush, the real problem is Fidesz support of Putin's Russia and opposition to democracy which is a existential threat to Articles of the EU charter.

Russia strangled Hungary in 1848~ .The USSR , actually- Red Tzars , assaulted it in 1956 . How treacherous ought to be their leaders now denying all those lessons of history?
The Soviet Union basically followed the same imperialist goals like the Tsarist Russia, only the blind can't see that. And despite those Russians attacked the Hungary in 1849, 1914, 1944, 1956, plundered, raped and destroyed what they could, half of the population seemingly forgot all of those. 1944 is an exception, we brought the demons to ourselves, standing with the Nazis till the last minute. But the Hungarian conservatives, fascists and nazis still think that Horthy who screwed up the whole situation are not responsible in any way.
It was much more complex than that. In 1848 the Russians went to crush the Hungarian revolution to stop the re-emergence of Napoleon's ideals, which had been crushed mere three decades prior in 1815 with the seocnd treaty of Paris. Meanwhile the 1956 revolution's crushing was the Soviet Union's doctrine to maintain its grip over Eastern Europe by setting an example to all its other puppets that attempts to turn away from Moscow would mean the same fate. As for today like explained in the video itself in the later half, Hungary today is even with Russophilic Orban being more pragmatic, attempting to get the best deal out of the geopolitical landscape for itself (or in this case for Orban and his cronies who rule Hungary).
@@alehaim You can dive deeper and deeper, but the principle stays the same, the Russian Empire (later called the Soviet Union) wanted to extend their sphere of influence further and further with conquests or subjugations to every direction. What concern us right now is the Balkan. Russians used the opportunity to help out Franz Joseph I in 1849 (not 1848), he even had to kiss the hand of Tsar Nicholas (what he never forgave to him), as their partner in the Holy Allience, but their goal was to push their influence toward West. Because Hungary belonged to Austria at that time their main goal were only the influence over Serbia. And gain terrietories from the Ottoman Empire (Crimean war, attempted control over the Bosphorus). After Austria-Hungary lost the WWI, and the Russian Empire reinveted itself in a new form, especially after winning the WWII, the Russians finally achieved what they always wanted. They got control over Central Europe and the Balkans (btw Eastern Europe is Ukraine, Beloruss and Russia, Central Europe was called Eastern only since the Soviets expanded their influence over there). The Russian and Soviet foreign political and territorial goals were very similar. Ideologically different, but the root of their goals stay the same. Even after losing territories in 1991, you can see now, they can't accept reality, but all they want to rebuild the same oppressive empire
Köszönöm! Btw, Fidesz is pronounced like "fidess". The letter S, on the other hand, sounds like sh, which you pronounced correctly in "Budapest" (like "budawpesht"). 😁
Orban is right. If we do not want a world war with nuclear weapons to start - we must find a compromise with Russia. .. If you analyse the cultural development of Europe - you can notice the moral degradation of Europe. .. This degradation is connected with the supremacy of the US. .. Concerning "Magyarisation" in the Hungarian part of Austria-Hungary - this assimilation policy (1864-1914) was really soft. .. Can you find a country in Europe that does not teach the language of the dominant language in its schools? .. In Hungary the official language changed from Latin to Hungarian in 1844. .. Can you imagine this situation - a nation 1000 years in Europe - without having its language used as an official language? .. All minorities of Hungary used to learn Latin in schools and some of them did not really liked the idea of studying Hungarian even as a subject, in the historical Hungarian territory. .. If you compare the Hungarian policy with the current policy of Ukraine - you can see the big difference that Hungary did not forbid the usage of other languages. .. The minorities studied in their own languages - they just had to study Hungarian language as a subject. .. Ukraine forbade studying in some languages - it obliged the minorities to study in Ukrainian - and the Ukrainian officials punish people for speaking in a minorify (or in Russian) language. .. I think, this is worse than the practice that Hungary in Austria-Hungary did.
Easy enough , all NATO members make Russia leave Ukraine and return to their own country .....with force if necessary Then the war is over, it's that simple But not all allied countries are doing their bit.....if they did this illegal unprovoked war would of ended last year...! What you fail to mention is that Hungary, just like the rest of the eastern block, begged on their bare knees to join the EU while Germany, France and the U.K was extremely reluctant to the idea. Now the entire eastern block is very skeptical of the Union and consistently complains that it messes with it's economy and autonomy when in reality their economies almost doubled in just a few years after joining. Hungary is one of the countries that have received the most net beneficiaries from the Union and yet they complain and block polices like no other member. Now Slovakia is on the same path as well. Personally I think the EU need to learn these countries a lesson in gratitude. The EU have to much patience with bad behavior in general in my opinion.
Everyone though? It seems like to me, that mainly the leaders and the far right are skeptical about the Union. The fascist government pushes the anti-EU sentiment, and even they couldn't change the Hungarians mentality toward the EU. Most of them still supports the membership. And Brexit showed every sane person, that there is no life outside the EU. Only the far right wants to leave the EU, but it's the same in France and Germany like in Hungary. But their interest basicaly to make the situation so bad, that the population might vote on them, and after they voted, they can make it even worse
It is true that the Eastern Europeans were desperate to originally join Western instituitons of Nato and EU, with the Poles literally blackmailing the US into accepting its Nato membership by threatening to support the Republicans in the eletions if the Democratic government of Clinton didn't let them in. At the same time the script was already quite long so adding something like this would have added to the length even more.

"Ottoman masters exchanged for Austrian masters" is cultural relativism. Hungary was an equal part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and was ruled by the Hungarian Aristocracy. The Austrian Emperor had no right to collect taxes in Hungary, and Hungarians did not had to fight in the army. Austria-Hungary was more like a proto E.U. than an Empire. Hungarians even vetoed the annexation of German-speaking provinces to keep the balance of power.
Austro-Hungarian Empire is a later formation, after the Ottomans' expulsion Hungary became part of the Austrian Empire which Hungary was not equal part of, leading to the revolution od 1848. Cultural relativism has nothing to do with this btw. Austria-Hungary was nothing like a proto-EU, it was based on the superiority of two ethnic groups (Hungarian and German) superiority over all the others (Slovak, Croat, Serb, Romanian, Rusyn, Pole, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovenian, etc). It was also a reactionary and obsolete regime safeguarding feudalism in the modern era.
@@kristoffeher4123 the most modern and most equal reactionary regime in history. Hungary had enormous power at the Vienna congress of 1813 and not just after the revolution of 1848. Just the fact that the Hungarian aristocracy survived the takeover was progressive. The Anglo-Saxon aristocracy did not survive the Norman conquest, and the Muslim aristocracy did not survive the Reconquista. Usually, the conquerors made their own people the new aristocracy.
@@kristoffeher4123 "Austro-Hungarian Empire is a later formation, after the Ottomans' expulsion Hungary became part of the Austrian Empire which Hungary was not equal part of, leading to the revolution od 1848." It's true that Hungary wasn't an equal power in the Habsburg Monarchy until 1867, but that doesn't mean the Hungarians were completely powerless under Habsburg rule. The Hungarians had their own Royal Diet, where they could make some decisions. Unlike other Habsburg-ruled areas, the Kingdom of Hungary had an uncodified constitution (some modern countries still have that today), which had limited the power of the Crown and greatly increased the authority of the Hungarian parliament since the 13th century. The Hungarians also had their own custom borders unlike other Habsburg-ruled territories. Austrian monarchs like Maria Theresa and Francis I often had to ask Hungarian nobles for support in wars, plus the Hungarians made their own language official in 1836 without Austrian permission. They temporarily lost their semi-autonomy during Franz Joseph's short-lived neoabsolutism era, but the situation improved again after 1859. They finally got full autonomy in 1867. "Austria-Hungary was nothing like a proto-EU, it was based on the superiority of two ethnic groups (Hungarian and German) superiority over all the others (Slovak, Croat, Serb, Romanian, Rusyn, Pole, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovenian, etc)." This was the case in the Hungarian part of Austria-Hungary, but not the Austrian part. In Cisleithania all minorities were equal and could speak their own language, plus all males were allowed to vote in elections since 1907. Education was not only mandatory and free in Cisleithania, but it was also provided in all languages and, compared to the German Empire, much more university students came from peasant backgrounds in terms of percentage. Everyone enjoyed freedom of religion as well. "It was also a reactionary and obsolete regime safeguarding feudalism in the modern era." This is just completely misleading made-up Entente propaganda after WW1. Feudalism in Austria ended after the 1848 revolutions (although serfs and pesants already got much more rights under Joseph II, such as being allowed to marry anyone they wanted, to move away from his village and to engage in any trade of his choosing without the lord's permission). As mentioned above, these rights made Austria-Hungary was much more liberal than reactionary. And "obsolete"? How? It certainly had a weaker economy than Western European powers, but its economic growth was faster. Austria-Hungary was slowly industrializing itself and literacy was increasing.
@@motionpictures6629 "the most modern and most equal reactionary regime in history. Hungary had enormous power at the Vienna congress of 1813" Since Hungarians were the largest ethnic group in Habsburg Austria besides Austro-Germans themselves, they were powerful enough to veto any annexation of other German territories aside from previous lost territories during the Napoleonic Wars with their own Royal Diet. Austrian rulers also often had to ask the Hungarians if they support their wars or not. And as you said above, you're right that Austria never kidnapped kids to raise them as slave soldiers. I've read reports of the Russian Empire kidnapping Jewish kids as young as 9 to force serving them in the Russian army. The Ottoman Empire did the same with citizens of captured territories. However, Habsburg Austria never used child soldiers.
We Hungarians didn't feel this equality. Our official language had to be German for a long time. We had two wars of independence. The Austrians executed hundreds of Hungarians and the prime minister in 1849 after the war. Even in the early 20th century we couldnt have a real own army. In 1920 even Austria stole lands from Hungary and blamed Hungary for the war... It was economically and generally better after 1867. Austria delibetary settled down Germans, Serbians, Romanians and several times used and forced them to commit genocides against the Hungarians. Hungary was not equal at all.

While they complain about the ,,lack'' of ,,democracy'' in Hungary they simoultanously fund the wests favorite ,,democracy'' of Ukraine. A country where religous leaders get arrested, where no opposition exists anymore, where no fress press exists anymore. A country which will not even have free and democratic elections for the forseeable future. The same western countries who complain about Hungary or Poland try to ban the leading (conservative) opposition party - like in Germany. They crush peaceful protests with police and military force - like in Canada or Australia. They try to arrest the leading opposition politican - like in the USA. They deplattform conservative TV channels - like Newsmax or One America News in the US. Just to name a few examples. You complain that there are only two oppositions TV channels in Hungary. Do you now how many exist in Germany? Exactly zero. In the meantime crime rates are exploding in the west, there are no go zones totally given up by police in many western cities. Controlled by muslim clans or antifa anarchists. Infrustructure is about to completely fallen in disrepair. Kids getting sexualized. Security systems like Health Care or the pension system are about to collapse because of a massive influx of migrants who don't participate in the labor force. Germany will soon raise the retirement age to 70! Women's get more and more encouraged to seek abortions kids getting called bad for the enviroment. Birth rates collapse - the opposite is happening for some years in Hungary btw. Homelesness is skyrocketing. Cities get more and more dirty. Jobs shifting away in masses thanks to globalist policies. Terrorist attacks getting more commong. Violence in the streets also, just look at France. Cost of living is exploding. The freedom of movement get's more and more restricted. The list can go on and on... The west claims to have the moral upperhand, in reality the opposite is the case.
"The EU tried to punish Hungary because the hungarians decided that teacher shouldn't talk about sexuality with small kids. " - this is a complete lie made up by Orbán as an excuse why they are not even attempting to get the EU funds anymore. The real reason is the corruption and undermining the EU's foreign policy to appease Putin.
You really didn't have to mention the "Realpolitik" thing. It would work in Hungary case, if it wasn't for the biggest inflation in european union, disasterous prices for rent, utilities, and some of the most basic products. I'm from Poland, we also have troubles with our government, and economic situation, but man. When I arrived to Hungary 4 months ago I was literally shocked, the prices were so bullshit. And I could only turn radiator for 2 hours per day cuz there were some limitations placed by government lol
What limitation? I didn't heard any of that, not even in the winter not to mention spring. But since you already bought up the energy question, ruining our relations with Russia would be much worse than just some inflation (which is mostly caused by the EU blackmailing).
@@eralfion5316 Blackmailing by europe? You mean how our countries everyday break rule of law and expect to get the same treating as civilized ones? Is hoiding EU Recovery Fund because of that "blackmailing"? For me it's totally understandable, and if it will make my government sweat a bit, its good. Regarding the limitation, I've red about it and it turns out I was sleeping at a cooperative neighborhood, which could'nt afford gas at good prices so they put on a limit for everyone. Also how is it that "ruining our relations with Russia would be much worse" in Hungary case, when literally Poland (which borders Russia) has lower resources prices than Hungary? Maybe it was worth to think before becoming Russias dog as a country?
@@evere777x Poland is not a landlocked country ans can buy LNG through the sea, we are energy dependent on Russia and have no infrastructure getting oil and gas from other places. Withholding funds so we do something is blackmailing either you agree with the motivation or not. Also it's obvious that it's not about the rule of law, which is just a pretence and it's because we are not on the same page in the case of the sanctions and Ukraine.
@@evere777x So it's blackmail. Also with this the EU made Orbán essentially PM for life. There is no chance he would lose when he stand up against outside pressure, I never voted him bc of the corruption, but after this I may as well do (at least I will not vote anyone who I don't trust that they will not give in despite our national interest, so the only other option is the far-right). So the EU making the left and liberal parties unelectable.
Hungary were willing allies of the Nazis. When the Germans were losing in Stalingrad they then tried to negotiate a peace with Russia and soon were invaded by Germany in 1943 To stop the Hungarian shift in alliances. They never had to admit its war crimes and never atoned for its deportation and killing the Jews.
Hungary wanted armistice with Soviets. Hungary did not want to switch sides, because switching sides during wartime is a historic menthality Byzanitinist (Orthodox) countries in Europe.
Hungary did not deport Jews until it was occupied by Germany putting their leaders into power. Even then Hungarians hid as many Jews in the countryside as they could. Why do you think there is such a big number of them in the country? Right after the war they got prominent government positions from the Soviet Army.
I have a deep hatred for simplistic lables put on right wing politicians from liberals or leftist as anti democracy when the organisation they charish, the EU is the most anti democracyorganisation.

17:09 propagand. In Hungary, the electoral system that rewards more than 50% of the votes in the parliament was not invented by Orbán, but by the first post-communist government. The essence of this is to create a stable governable government. Whereas in Sweden you can become prime minister with 25% of the vote. It's very democratic. Control over media Supreme court...Orbán's requests, wishes, plans, such as referendum questions are constantly rejected by the Supreme Court. In Hungary, the media is much freer and pluralistic than in Germany or the Netherlands. That's how long I watched your video, so much lie for now was enough. You are at the level of North-Korean propagandists
Blocking Sweden from joining NATO is a spineless act that only makes Putin happy. Would Hungary support any other NATO member asking for support under article 5? Only if their leaders will be bribed enough. All efforts should be focused upon supporting Ukraine.

@@A_Takacs Two thirds of the Hungarian parlament delegates refused to show up at work to vote about ratification of Sweden as a member of NATO. Is that Hungarian common sense? Sweden has a long tradition of fighting for justice and Human rights and Hungary has been criticised. I suppose that is the real issue for Hungarians. It has nothing to do with NATO.
@@Hellyset It is common sense. Sweden has been a very vocal supporter of punishing Hungary for not bowing down to state sponsored lgbt propaganda and mass immigration, like they did. NATO is already the strongest military alliance in the world, and Sweidsh membership is just a formality at this point. But if they really want to join NATO we excpect some concessions first.

@@toromontana8290 But the EU won't do that. Sure, inflation is high (since there is a war right next door) but I think that's price worth paying so that Hungary can stay Hungarian.

I liked the amount of research the author did to explain the complete history of hungary however I'm a bit disappointed by the author's criticism of soviet's communism. It felt as if he was purely speaking the propaganda language spread by United states. I was expecting this channel to be purely unbiased realpolitik inspired geopolitics channel but seems its not
The video's script was written by both me and Geo Perspective with me having a stronger touch on the history section. The more modern history had more touch by GP while I simultaneously didn't go excessively deep into it in the original draft owing to lack of exact knowledge on my part and the feeling that going so deep into it would drag out the beginning while the bigger focus of the video was about Orban/Hungary
@@alehaim I acknowledge the division of labor in the scriptwriting process. However, I must express some disappointment in the perceived bias in your critique of Soviet-era communism. Interesting but I dont like the Snowflake approach to religion co-existing in the areas the Magyars settled at the beginning of the video... after all most of these wars were very much often driven by religious identity. Be it smaller disagreements between Catholics and Orthodox or the muslim Jihad that was trying to push into central Europe. The magyars were eventually pagans at first but wouldnt have survived in the area without adopting Christianity. So no... fact is that Christians , Jews, Muslims didnt co-exist just like that in some wonderful diversity, if you want to talk real history not some current progressive fantasy of the past.

Following Hungary's defeat against the Ottoman Empire in the Battle of Mohács of 1526, the Habsburg Empire became more involved in the Kingdom of Hungary, and subsequently assumed the Hungarian throne. However, as the Ottomans expanded further into Hungary, the Habsburgs came to control only a small north-western portion of the former kingdom's territory. Eventually, following the Treaty of Passarowitz in 1718, all former territories of the Hungarian kingdom were ceded from the Ottomans to the Habsburgs. In the revolutions of 1848, the Kingdom of Hungary called for greater self-government and later even independence from the Austrian Empire. The ensuing Hungarian Revolution of 1848 was crushed by the Austrian military with Russian military assistance, and the level of autonomy that the Hungarian state had enjoyed was replaced with absolutist rule from Vienna.[20] This further increased Hungarian resentment of the Habsburg dominion.

Islam and Ottomans did not influenced Hungary, except the genocides. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Hungary
Whereas a great many of the 17,000 and 19,000 Ottoman soldiers in service in the Ottoman fortresses in the territory of present-day Hungary were Orthodox and Muslim Balkan Slavs,[6] Southern Slavs were also acting as akıncıs and other light troops intended for pillaging in the territory of present-day Hungary.[7]
The Hungarian inhabitants of cities moved to other places when they felt threatened by the Ottoman military presence.

The strongest opposition party is the Democratic Coalition, headed by Ferenc Gyurcsány, former Socialist Prime Minister, under whose leadership the country almost went bankrupt in 2006, and then the subsequent protests were brutally suppressed by the with his policemen acting without an identification number. This led to the victory of Fidesz in 2010. Currently, he and most of the opposition parties are also being investigated, because according to their own statements, they received about 10 million dollars and at least 3 million euros from official micro-donations from the USA and the EU After all this, is there anyone who is surprised that the majority did not choose them? The online space is about 60% opposition, with Facebook and YT (the most popular platforms in Hungary) leaning heavily AGAINST the Orbán goverment and - unsurprisingly - cannot be controlled from Budapest.
it is totally true.
Thank you for the break down, it makes sense.
The problem doesn't seem to be Fidesz then, the corruption of mszp is legendary and would make most autocrats blush, the real problem is Fidesz support of Putin's Russia and opposition to democracy which is a existential threat to Articles of the EU charter.

Some remarks. Magyarization is just a myth. Nobody was forced to speak Hungarian while in England or France minorities were forced to speak the language brutally, nowadays Irish or Scottish people cant even speak their mother language. Even wikipedia mentions that... well, every other countires' policy was harsher than "magyarization". So it's just propaganda. And there weren't nationalist movements in 1918, the lands were simply given to other states. 50% of the stolen land of Transylvania was not Romanian, they surely didn't have nationalist movement towards Romania.
But I appreciate you mentioned that Trianon was bad for the country (and the winners too) economically for instance, many people think it was good and fair.

@antisnowflake8618 Why do you not understand that the country has been a vassal many times?
Hungary is becoming a vassal of Russia and China.
You should never be a “vassal” to anyone-person, religion or country.
That said, while I hope Hungary will forever be a part of the West that includes its ethics, principles and the recognition of a higher definition of right or (in the case of Putin) an alliance with a lower common denominator.

There are numerous errors in the video that are easily noticeable, even by a 16-year-old like me. I strongly suggest creating a new video only after conducting thorough research on the Hungarian people, their history, goals, and specifically on Viktor Orbán. Please consider this message as a helpful suggestion rather than a critique.
If you’re interested in more information or need assistance in creating a more accurate video, feel free to reply to this comment. I would be delighted to discuss this further. Hungary has a rich and fascinating history with intriguing details and a complex past, and I would love to help you explore it more deeply.
I think around 90% of what you said is wrong
Russia strangled Hungary in 1848~ .The USSR , actually- Red Tzars , assaulted it in 1956 . How treacherous ought to be their leaders now denying all those lessons of history?
Putin bribe the prime minster Viktor Orban , and promise him nuclear plant and cheap oil and gas
😂😂😂 What are you talking about?? 😂😂

Why should anyone be grateful for the EU when it wants to replace them with Africans?
@@ereshkigalis I'm fairly certain that Fidez strategy is no longer about changing domestic opinion but rather being a menace until they will be excluded from the Union for not living up to the standards. That why they don't really need to influence a change in it's domestic opinion. And if they don't get excluded they will get to do what they want anyway.

You can't compare it to modern societies of today, but Austrians didn't kidnap children to raise them as slave soldiers and the Austrian aristocracy had a lot of autonomy.
@@kristoffeher4123 "Austro-Hungarian Empire is a later formation, after the Ottomans' expulsion Hungary became part of the Austrian Empire which Hungary was not equal part of, leading to the revolution od 1848."
It's true that Hungary wasn't an equal power in the Habsburg Monarchy until 1867, but that doesn't mean the Hungarians were completely powerless under Habsburg rule.
"Austria-Hungary was nothing like a proto-EU, it was based on the superiority of two ethnic groups (Hungarian and German) superiority over all the others (Slovak, Croat, Serb, Romanian, Rusyn, Pole, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovenian, etc)."
This was the case in the Hungarian part of Austria-Hungary, but not the Austrian part.
"It was also a reactionary and obsolete regime safeguarding feudalism in the modern era."
This is just completely misleading made-up Entente propaganda after WW1.
Hungary had enormous power at the Vienna congress of 1813"
Since Hungarians were the largest ethnic group in Habsburg Austria besides Austro-Germans themselves, they were powerful enough to veto any annexation of other German territories aside from previous lost territories during the Napoleonic Wars with their own Royal Diet.

Terrorist attacks getting more commong. Violence in the streets also, just look at France. Cost of living is exploding. The freedom of movement get's more and more restricted. Well Vlachs aka Romanians were first seen in 11th century, Vlad the impaler was Born in Hungary Transylvania , Romania as a country exists recently, Romanians aaaka Vlachs were invited to Live in Hungary because Hungary lost many lives in the First mongol invasion and the second Time they atacked Vlachs helped fight against them and were then invited to Live in Hungarian lands meaning Transylvania.

Orban is being proven right 🇺🇸 🇭🇺
Fascist scum like you will remain just populist fascist scum. Good luck moving to ruzzia.
Orban made Hungary poorer than Romania.
But Orban became richer and richer and richer....!
Viva Orban!
Good night Left side!
20:30 "Independent officials replaced" - SUCH AS?!?!
Primitive vid 😂
Hungary lost Transylvania
Another incisive and interesting video. Interesting the lack of partisan commentary. Wonderful work! Nevertheless, Orban is a huge detriment to Europe and to Ukrainian integration, a stunning hypocritical move on the part of the Hungarian political class who supports him.
Лицемерный
Orban is an is visualist a d not revisuonist . What is Western alues if not devaluing tbe people ,their roots and identity ! Indian Military Vets

8:30 - Hungary didn't lose lands or seek lands from Bulgaria. Maybe you're thinking of Yugoslavia or/and Czechoslovakia (Slovakia in particular). Good summary otherwise. Thanks.
Great president
Royal Hungary was Slovakia and the oppression of Slovaks, their language and culture..

Sad for Magyars.
Rise up.
I had to downvote this due to a lack of journalistic integrity. Shame.
Hungary does not belong in NATO and certainly not the EU. Hungarians should join Russia and Belarus, whose values and culture they share.
Hungary is part of the Western civilizaton, being part of Catholic-Protestant Western civilization. However the semi-Asiatic (traditionally West-hater) Orthodox civilization, wich always produced shocking low/negligible contribution in the development of science & technology, society and in general level of infrastructure. Around 80% of thepopulation of Orthodox countries were still illiterate in the eve of WW1. No but I have a dedicated video
The late-nomad Vlach shepherd ancestors of Romanians were in the southern Balkans, they migrated to modern territory of Romania after the 13th century.
3:45 John Hunyadi held back the ottomans but he was executed and his little brother Mathias Hunyadi or Mathias Corvinus later was elected king and made the black army wich is got its name because they wear black ribons on ther shoulder when Mathias died.
7:32 Trianon was the consequence of the first world war not after it.
It is true that trianon came as a result due to ww1, though simultaneously it only did come to effect gollowing the wars of communist Hungarian state against its neighbors

The problem with this video is that, unfortunately, the historical presentation is wrong and false at countless points. The map representation is also quite frivolous and wrong in many cases. It is quite false about Trianon - it was prepared and organized by Masonic societies. But I don't even want to go into the details, because it would take a lot of time and energy.
Unfortunately, there is a lot to correct in this video - but perhaps it would be best to make a completely new and correct one, because it might only be good as a mosaic piece of an initial teaser workshop.
