I’m at number 3. Got off the scale and have been so discouraged bc the scale hasn’t moving. But i feel different, I know I’m stronger, but the scale… thank you for this

The scale thing started to become a big issue for me. I had gained 12.2 pounds. I was 129.2 and now about 140. I lost a little of it. I loved the way I looked at that number. So I started chasing that.
Find quickly thats not a good thing. Packed up my scale for now. Will focus on my body, how I feel and how my clothes fit instead. The scale will still be used but rarely. As long as my numbers add up. On my fitnesspal as a calorie deficit. I know I am on track. I been in a calorie defict. Even though the scale didn't move. Stay in ranges of (138.8-140.0), However some of my jeans are falling off badly. Which wasn't present before. Also had all symptoms of a deficit. Like it being harder to sleep. Fatigue, easily irritable, lower energy, and more hunrgy than usual as some.Just because the scale don't move. Doesn't mean there isn't any progress. Could be retaining , water, waste, and even muscle while reducing fat. As to why it won't move. The scale thing started to become a big issue for me. I had gained 12.2 pounds. Number 1 is so good! My husband and I cut out night snacking a couple of months back then slid right back into it and noticed weight gain/stalled weight. We are getting back to cutting out the night snacks again. Sometimes you just have to be honest with yourself and start again.

Love your energy Sis!! Much needed encouragement. I got sick on Sunday night and had all these plans to kick butt this week (3 months and counting on my health journey), but I had to sit it down this whole week. I was feeling down because I had built myself up to go to the gym 5 days. I have to jump back in it when I fully recover.
Looking forward to recovering and getting back to the gym.

Get better and look Forward to the day you can resume your routine. One great day at a time. Remember to not stress. Kick perfectionism out the door. You don't have to be perfect - just consistent. Your body wants you to suceed even though you may be convalesing now. This is for the rest of your life. Be joyful you're doing this.

It's just been so hard to see progress and then regress to the point where you're back to square 1. When you put in so much thought, effort, and you work so hard...but 1 month goes by, 2 months, 3, 4, 5 and you're like...why is this not working. It's frustrating because so many professional dietitians and doctors tell you make these little changes...and the lbs will come off. Guess what made those changes 2 yrs ago...and the weight is fluctuating (yo-yo-ing). I'm just trying to figure out what is that key or break through that will make big progress. I'm realizing it's 1. Obsession with the scale to the point where it dictates my self worth and value. 2. Mind-set...I'm so negative and critical of myself. I beat myself up for slowing down or not doing things according to "my plan"... or I have a cravings and I eat something I normally don't. 3. My emotions...when you used food as a coping mechanism for years that just doesn't go away over night. But I'm tired of watching others lose 100 lbs in year or two. And I'm on year 3... I'm struggling to reach the 50lb marker. I don't compare myself but it's hard not to so you try what they did...but it doesn't give you the same results. I'm realizing it's because our bodies are not the same. I think I may have insulin resistance issues or my body just doesn't want to burn the fat. When I was abroad I lost 25 lbs in 2 months...and I wasn't even trying hard. I just want that same momentum without the grueling effort I'm putting in.
