My mom has this laptop and no matter what it would not power on or have any lights, i took the laptop apart and once i removed the battery i could get lights to it and it actually booted up. Funny thing is i reconnected the battery and now everything works fine, no idea what happened but thanks for the video lol.

If you open the screws i even open with my thumb nai first you start from the bottom after that just below the edges of the display left and right side insert screwdriver and pull upside best with plastic material like even guitar pick.

What happens when you put a new (generic) battery and turn it on and it sends you directly to the BIOS to modify the time, laps and save the changes and it keeps sending you to the BIOS, you return the previous battery (the old one) and it keeps sending the same , even disconnected from the electrical current with the two batteries doing the same procedure and nothing, any ideas? same model of laptop

GOODTIMES tech ™ I searched it in local market as well online shopping Portals seems none of them have it. I visited the service centre they also dont have it but they placed an order for me and it will reach within a week. I am very disappointed with the Asus Product quality I use this laptop daily 4 - 6 hours for office work and battery starts swelling. Asus said its because of over charging I still wonder how they define overcharging. Should i cut the power off when charging reach at 100% and only use on Battery Mode. Damn! I regret hard to buy this product for Rs. 44000 Indian Currency. I would never suggest anyone to buy Asus product. Btw Thanks for ur reply mate!
Authorized Asus service centre or buy the LiPo battery alone from any trusted websites or local vendors then you can replace the battery in the pack with a standard new battery if your having the resources.

You don't need to remove ribbon cables, just use a smaller screwdriver, save you the aggravation putting ribbon cables back on
