My grandmother used to make great kasundi but somehow due to lack of interest kasundi recipe has not been passed down to this generation. I can only hear it from my parents that kasundi takes a lot of dedication but they cannot remember the process how it was made. To be clear, it is Amar Khamar that is working with farmers to make these products available to people in a consistent way. We have worked closely with them to produce some of spice mixes (including the gorom moshla). If masoor dal bori is currently not in stock you can choose any type of bori, really. We just use what we happen to have at home at the time of cooking. These are made in small batches and sun dried, so the exact type of bori will keep changing year round.

Recipe is great. But personally I prefer the palong shaaker ghonto with brinjal version more. That was more juicy. But I'll try this one also
