Great, modern synthpop. One of the best Danish entries ever. A nice change from the mainstream pop songs. The lyrics are kind of strange. But I love the song, cool and groovy one! They look nice on stage, a real band feeling, makes me miss live music in ESC
The lyrics were live, but the band mimed tobacking tape(no instrumentsplugged in), the orchestra was live
You can use backing tape unless you mimed the instruments. Nevertheless, only strings are live. Drums, guitars and e.bass are on backing tape, it's not being played on the orchestra.
Another example is the Finnish entry. Where only brass, strings, timpani are live. Drums, guitar and e.bass are also not played but rather "played" by the contestants.
And probably the winning entry used backing tracks.

The best thing Denmark ever sent to Eurovision, and rewarded with 5 points. Juries suck, this is the only entry in 1982 that sounds modern, way ahead of its time actually
How was this “ahead“ of its time? This is as 1982/early-80s as it gets. Still amazing though, and it should have gotten SO many more points!
@@NorthSea_1981 in terms of Eurovision. Every other entry sounded extremely dated compared to this. This wouldn’t have seemed out of place in the charts if it was released later in the 80s. The juries didn’t exactly have their finger on the pulse.

In a way, this song is oddly relevant today. It's about watching videos all day. Of course they refer to VHS tapes in that one, but still.
Som svensk förstår jag nästan varje ord som sjungs och låttexten (samt rimmen) är faktiskt riktigt fyndiga 👏.
Förstår inte hur låten kunde få så få poäng. Resten av Europa förstår sig nog inte riktigt på oss nordbor antar jag. 😄

I strongly disagree. This is real modern synthpop. Bang up to date for 1982. Fresh and cool. Very good music. Denmark has sent a lot of crap though, so finding a worst entry is easy! 2010, 2007, 1993, 1989, 1987 etc....all really awfully banal songs.
