I used to go to a local gym for 2yrs or so,it was becoming boring so it was time for me to have change ,so what a good way to remain fit was to start Lindy hopping and what better way to keep fit and enjoy yourself I started a Lindy hop class last week.i fabulously enjoyed ,and I could not wait for my second class which was yesterday, I've got a long way to go before I hit the dance floor but I'm holding on in there to that day comes along, thank you so much for sharing your fabulous video's I enjoyed all of them and answered my thoughts on Lindy hop, thanking you so much for sharing yours truly Andy 🍀🌈🍀🎵
@@LauraGlaess, thank you Laura it's nice of you thanking you for your lovely comment, I'm on my 3rd week now.the classes are sometimes hard going but I like a challenge I know I'll get there in the end, yours truly Andy 🍀🎵🎶🤸🌈
I've seen that six count circle with a break everywhere in performances but I could never figure it out-I always assumed it was 8 count footwork. Thank you so much
Every summer, a local jazz band plays in the park and they host swing dance parties every weekend. I can't wait to use this stuff there! (I also love your shirt and want to know where you sourced it).
Great video! A dumb question: it seems that you tuck turn at the second triple step in the 6 count while you turn on the first triple step in a side pass. Is that a strict thing?
Not a dumb question, and yeah, that's basically what it is. Not because it's a strict thing - I'm sure you could change it - but it would be a difficult change. I think it's that way because it's the easiest thing to do.
@@LauraGlaessgreat video. Simple, efficient, which gives the mood of standing up and dancing ! I want to watch all your videos ! Merci, bravo. Just one question please : what is « swing out » ?
Just gotta say, you are an excellent teacher and your editing/videography is really helpful for illustrating the points! Thanks a lot!

Agreed! So quality content. Perfect for dancers who analysis
Thank you Laura and Brook, your my inspiration, I'm still there, thanks 🎶🤸🎶
Thank you brooks for not skipping out on triple steps. I find that many leaders don’t do triples but expect their followers to do them.
Triple steps are awesome!

Nice lesson, you make a beautiful couple! Best regards from France.
Thanks! He's pretty cool, I guess 😘 (I lie, he's pretty DANG cool)
I've learned the circle in 8 time but I'd never figured out it was possible in 6 times

Is 6 count basic or 8 count?
Can you switch from 6 count to 8 count and vise versa?
Is a swing out in 6 count possible?
Both 6 and 8 are basic.
Switching between is possible and happens constantly.
The swingout is possible in 6 but is done infrequently.

None of swing is in 6 counts. Why use a six count for dancing?
An age old question. Here's my answer: ruclips.net/video/guiXh9f2z5I/видео.htmlsi=3PegxREcT6ISbfkx&t=18
