Deb’s so cool. A real gem of the 80’s (and beyond) Garage/Psych scene. I seem to remember how initially a lot of people thought the Fuzztones were either a retro joke, or that they were campy fakers, only in it for the fashion . This latter opinion was held mainly by the garage purists. People just didn’t seem to get it at first (the 80’s psych/garage revival). They thought it was nothing more than pure campy nostalgia. Me personally? I f’n *LOVED* the Fuzztones and the (then) new 80’s garage scene, and I was in HS at the time. Born ‘67, way too late to remember that kind of scene the first time around. The Fuzztones were and still are one of my all time favorite bands, though I’m mainly partial to their ‘classic’ early lineup. Lysergic Emanations was arguably the coolest garage punk album of the entire 80’s. It has held up really well through the years.
What she is referring to is the Nuggets era, 60's garage rock ...These guys along with the Chesterfield Kings were part of the 80's renaissance of Garage Rock..

Cool videos! Rock on Deb!
Great Video show When there was a need to know about your faves Now the new digital distraction has ruined the normal way to communicate.
