Hi Sherry, I don't comment much around here but I've been around on your channel for a long time now, and I watched your whole video start to finish, there's so much more story here than actual decluttering and is honestly, so fascinating! Especially the bits of when you talk of your grandpa, and when you showed his ties, I immediately was like "That's where Sherry gets her love for all things vibrant and colorful". Your channel has been a comfort place, I found you close to when I finish 11th-12th grade, I'm 24 now! Aesthetics have come and gone but you've always stuck to being you! Loved the video and love you even more! I really look forward to every upload of yours!
    Wow this was an essay!😬💗💗

As a viewer I'm so glad that we get to see an organisation series from you! As a fellow human, thank you for taking us on this personal journey. ❤️ The fact that you were so honest with your feelings, you being emotional, anxious, materialistic, sarcastic and just plain REAL, was a treat to watch.
I'm a big RUclips content consumer and I'm so excited coz this is just episode 1!

There is something in your videos that just feel personal
When you said about your grandfather’s old stuff , it is just like how i feel my grandmother’s old things we lost her around 8 yrs ago and since she pssed away quite suddenly we couldn’t understand and move her stuff ,mainly the clothes I still have her saree even in my new house with knots that she had put the familiarity in old things and revisiting it is really overwhelming sometimes.
I just love how u are sooo sooo real its almost like i am looking at my friend cleaning up while i am at her house chilling
    It was a great video
Dont want to bring up a comparison but your de cluttering video is just not for asthetics unlike many other cleaning and decluttering videos I see on youtube it is just something else
Hoped that this video didnt end will be waiting for the next episode ❤️❤️❤️
Also your grandpa’s tie collection is lit🔥 and the book with little notes amazing.
Lots of positive vibes and power to you Sherry , you are just too inspiring
    Hope to meet you someday❤️❤️

The struggle of decluttering parents stuff is real, I remember a year back I had gone home since our house was getting renovated and the amount of stuff my mother had hoarded just gave me a headache. School uniform, old tshirts when I was 6, her dresses which last she wore was 6-10 years ago
I had to send her away from home to be able to declutter the house in peace and thankfully I did it. Although my mom still curses me for throwing away her stuff 😂

    @arundati77 2 года назад +6

This reminded me of my mom's house. Growing up we had a sprawling, crumbling, cluttered house full of ancient stuff attached to some or the other memory, people (floating population and our large family) and so many dogs and cats ...it was always a hot mess. Comfortable and welcoming but OMG when we finally moved it was impossible to sort through so pretty much 60% i dumped unless it was priceless. We always keep stuff thinking one day we will need it and then when it piles up we don't know. Having moved 4 homes since then, i now ruthlessly clean and declutter because the clutter makes me anxious. Kudos to you for showing it as it is and ploughing through it all.... Goodluck with the rest of the declutter

My absolutely favorite thing about you is your rawness and I love you for it. Over the years I too have had little boxes with things that at some point meant something and it takes a whole lot of courage to really ask yourself what purpose does it serve in your current life.
Can't wait to watch and support you through this process ❤🙌👏

This was just incredible. Am inspired to declutter my wardrobe right now! That little squabble with your mom and Mars sitting in the middle of the pile of clothes were the highlights - of course along with those tiny boxes of vintage knick knacks.

This video has made me consider decluttering and rearranging my home, something that I've been postponing forever.. It was so relatable when Sherry is holding on to the older things owned by her family. I just can't let go off that either.. As every part of the room got decluttered it felt better and better dk how.. I think it's a video we all needed. Everything that comes with decluttering, the emotions, the giving, sharing. Thankyou Sherry🧡

Hi Sherry, the conundrum you felt while decluttering shoes has to do with you not being sure what to do and not visualising everything you have. Best way to do this is taking a visual inventory of everything just like Marie kondo, it really helps with decision making

Hi sherry! I can relate with you regarding letting go of old stuff that have lots of memories attached. But I started decluttering two years back. I know it’s hard when you start but believe me after you’ll be done clearing few areas. You ll feel light. N also one thing that got me going is to donate to someone who can make use of it rather than all the stuff just sitting in one corner n getting old. Just wanted to give you one tip that to buy few organization related items like baskets, trays etc to arrange stuff that you are going to keep so that everything ll be infront of your eyes so that you can actually use it. Also start by taking out all the stuff outside . It saves time and you can clearly think what to keep in ,donate, pass to friends and family and what to garbage. Hope it helps. Lots of love ❤️ ❤️

I think mother’s have a habit of hoarding. In my case atleast, my mother was deprived of a lot of materialistic things as a child as her parents couldn’t afford it. So she became someone who ended up buying and hoarding alot. But i have definitely been trying to keep my house cleaner than before. It’s a task, especially if you are doing it alone. You did great sherry❤️

Well done sweet Sherry for tackling such a gigantic decluttering job. It’s totally understandable that a multi generational household will have so much ghamsan. But too much stuff creates stagnant energy, so it’s great you are getting rid of all except the very most loved. I too have kept my own navjote dress and that of my children. Much love from UK Parsis 🙏💜🌈

Sherry and to all other folks, the general rule for no. of stuff to have= no. Of pieces used in day* 3 so tat means 1 is used, 1 is washing and 1 as spare. And yearly/ 2 yearly replace most worn out ones.
