I have many Filipino (I'm half Filipino and half Mexican (mom is from Los Mochis Sin) family in Delano area and Porterville (i was raised in the 90806). They fostered Mexican Kids from the area and adopted two. They speak tagalog and illocano (as well as English and spanish).
We're all the same.
