This trailer alone feels more like a Hitman movie than both Hitman movies combined.
Saw it a few days ago and one of the first things I said to myself was this could be the closest thing we will get to a great Hitman movie.
That’s exactly what I just typed in my comment.
What’s crazy is, the filmmakers of “The Killer” took the “Hitman” basis, changed the name of the character, film title, and look of the character, and KEPT everything else regarding story and charcater, and the film is awesome!
However, the filmmakers of BOTH “Hitman” films took the “Hitman” basis, KEPT the name of the character, film title, and look of the character, and CHANGED EVERYTHING ELSE regarding story and character, and the film is GAH-BAGE!!!
When will filmmakers learn that when is comes to adapting a video games character…STORY AND CHARACTER MATTERS!!!
You can’t just leverage the name of the IP, butcher everything else about it, AND think fans will be satisfied and the film will do well. There’s a reason why the the IP is popular, keep that for the adaptation.
@@Benjonic12 I think I might have missed any theatrical release, so I'm so excited for the Netflix drop on the 10th of November
It feels like a movie that's close to the Hitman vibe without being confined to the Hitman World. I love it!
how big is the part of the plot that takes place in the us pls?
The fact that this is the sixth time we get a Martin Scorsese movie and a David Fincher movie in the same year is absolutely incredible
Really can u name it all of it ?
Not at all!
And Christopher Nolan as well as a Ridley Scott Napoleon film. It's a good year for movies.

To anyone interested in watching this movie, do it. I highly recommend it. With that being said, this trailer is a bit misleading. It's not an action movie. There's no gun fights or car chase sequence. There's like, ONE fight scene and that's it. The rest of the movie is very quiet and methodical. It shows a professional perfectly executing his craft. It's a Hitman movie through and through. Hell, it's more of a Hitman movie than the Hitman movies.
He did not perfectly execute his craft.
Sounds similar to The American with George Clooney. It was a character study that was marketed as an action movie. Of course, I absolutely adore The American. Based on what you've said, the fact that this is directed by David Fincher and has Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton, I suspect I will love this. It's been in my list for a while. I think I will make an effort to watch it this weekend.
I am interested.
thanks for your comment, sadly recently movies are like 1000 guns, he kills eveyone and did not even get a scratch 😅.

Finally, Micheal Fassbender is back in form🤩🤩
I think he really looks great in Next Goal Wins.. good year for him hopefully.
Really happy to see him
Totally
When did he get out of form? He's always been an AMAZING actor.

Fassbander has been incognito these past few years. Excited to see him back in the acting game to do what he does best: emotionally intense method acting. The guy is in a league of his own. His eyes tell it’s own story and fincher is a master of psychological thrillers. This going be good.
Fassbender said in 2016 that he was going to take a break from acting, since then he has gotten married, had a kid, started racing and an acting school. He has also produced movies via his production company.
No, he was Magneto.
Most of that time he was in a pro endurance racing team for Porches. He did a smashing job racing in endurance racing and LeMan 😅 Hi Michael 😊
Underrated actor
One of the last movies he did was The Snowman (absolute dogshit of a movie that I can’t believe had a theatrical run) It made me look him up because I always enjoyed his roles. Super stoked to see him come back
You know cinematography is on point when you feel the impact of a shot from only a few frames, not even a full second on-screen during the quick cutting at the end. This looks like a powerful film.
Much more than powerful,,, outta this world. Though I'm sure you've seen it already, since your post... How fcuking good is it????? 👍
It’s always good to see Michael Fassbender. This looks like the kind of role he’s meant for.
Yes! and a younger Hannibal Lecter 👍
Just the other day Fincher said Fassbender got on board to make the film as he was a big fan of the 60's hitman film "Le Samurai".
You should watch Hunger and 12 Years a Slave. Great roles in both.
All they had to do was shave his head and put a serial code tattoo on the back of his neck and he would be the real life Agent 47
But but, he sounds like the Mandalorian. I can’t get it out of my head.
Wow, after watching this trailer, I'm convinced David Fincher could make a movie about paint drying and I'd still be on the edge of my seat! He's a magician with a camera. Can't wait to see this one!!
Looks like it will be the ultimate Fincher movie. Very process and procedural based.
Anyone knows when it will be available on Netflix?

@@thebigbork I didn’t watched the trailer bc I already know it’s a good movie and didn’t wanted any spoilers. Thank you 🙏
Of course!
this is the kind of trailer we need! doesn't show you the whole flipping plot and gives you short clips that show you the vibe of the movie and the writing of the voice-over is great! bravo to the ones that worked on this trailer!
David Fincher is simply a perfect director. Se7en, Fight Club, the Social Network, the list goes on and on. This is going to be such an incredible experience.
Saw it last night in theaters. Well worth the hype. Fincher is a master of his craft.
Did you see it in Philly like I did? 😁
Only took him like 15 years to make the damn thing, I'm honestly surprised it's a real movie it's been in development hell for so long

Just came back watching this in the Cinema. Just wow! The camera work, the sound, the stunt work and Fassbender!!!
Fassbender is such an underrated actor. Loved him since 2009. Well done!
David Fincher was the major factor here ! He knows how to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Michael Fassbender was absolute genius in action. A big 8 outta 10 for me ❤
David Fincher is an unparalleled cinematic genius.
Even all these years after masterpieces like Se7en, Fight Club, and The Social Network ... he has cinema that EASILY has the most "bite" and attitude.
So ducking excited for this. Dude's in a league of his own.
Don’t forget Zodiac.

Michael Fassbender is really phenomenal.
I always admire Michael Fassbender’s acting capability ever since. His really good at it.
He stole inglorious basterds for me. There were lots of nuances.
Glad Fassbender wasn’t successfully cancelled. He’s an incredible actor. This looks to be a great role for him.
why would he?
u gotta love Finchers distinctive artstyle...so greenish, so foggy, so grimdark.
Grimdark sounds like a word from A Clockwork Orange
Caught a screening of this a few days ago, honestly I don't think this trailer does the movie justice as much as the first trailer, but it still gets the point across.
The movie is great, Fassbender is fantastic (along with the character he plays) and Fincher directs this with such excellent precision, one of my favourites of the year hands down and that is saying something considering the year we have had for movies.

I’m so excited to see Michael Fassbender back in the movies. He’s a great race car driver and probably could have been a rockstar in a different life, so it’s just wonderful to see film get such a great actor back to tell our stories to the world. Phenomenal!!
Must see. You know it’s a amazing performance when the main character literally has damn near no dialogue for the entire film besides a voice over until the very end, and when he speaks he sends chills down your spine. Fincher does it again!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤟🏾
"Screenplay By Andrew Kevin Walker, Directed By David Fincher"
It's a reunion between two talented people as they worked together in the movie Seven (1995). Walker apparently served as script doctor for F**** C*** and The Game, two excellent Fincher movies. So yeah looking forward to see this movie just for their collaboration
Why the "*"?
@@GabrielSantos-uv2fcBecause that's the first rule: You don't talk about it.
Michael Fassbender's acting is simply mesmerizing. He has an incredible range and intensity that brings his characters to life in a way that is both captivating and unforgettable. Whether he's playing a tortured soul or a charismatic villain, Fassbender always delivers a performance that is both nuanced and powerful. ❤

Fassbender throws himself into everything he does with 💯 percent commitment - so convincing in all his character portrayals. Can’t wait for this
They adapted the comic!! I haven't been this excited for any movie like this for a long time. Michael Fassbender is PERFECTLY cast!!! Netflix with another classic!
David Fincher + Michael Fassbender... A glorious match up
Movie had one of the best fight scene between The Killer and “Brute” .. brutal fight scene!
1. ALIEN 3
2. Panic Room
3. Se7en
4. The Game
5. Fight Club
6. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
7. Zodiac
8. The Social Network
9. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
10. Gone Girl
11. Mank
12. The Killer
DAVID FINCHER is epitome of Artistry
My favourite - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
This will be a new masterpiece from Fincher, I'm glad to see the Fassbender again, I can't wait to watch it.
I need that NIN score in my life. That last beat after Fassy says hey is insane.
Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton…I’m sold.
Great slow burn and incredibly realistic-the plot itself is relatively uneventful and exactly like something you would expect in real life, but the intricacies in the story come from the way the protagonist conducts his actions. It's very humanizing and grounded, which is a refreshing take from the typical big explosion/firefight/car chase blockbusters.
Thanks for your review. Very well elaborated. I'm gonna give it a try cause of you. Sometimes, the trailer don't mean shit. And been disappointed alot by Netflix lately. Alot garbage.
@@GodCee360 What are your thoughts? Cuz honestly I was severely disappointed.
@@Kaipyro67ALT i can't really understand why people are disappointed with this movie, i guess there are just very few of us Hitman fans who were waiting for this kind of movie for over a decade, shame it's not about 47 though, but still a great movie.
Boring asf i literally fell asleep in the first 15 mins
There’s just something about Michael Fassbender that he looks so damn good as a villain
It's probably from all the beating up women
@@Inssssomniac He has not beaten up any women, stop spreading misinformation.
His smooth voice definitely helps
Not a villain in this one
He will be a great Lex Luthor.
David Fincher knows what audiences want from thrillers
I have to say the promotional work for this movie has been ECXEPTIONAL. This trailer and the first one is up there with my all time favorites immediately!
This movie was excellent. One of the best, most brutal fight scenes I've seen in a movie, probably since the Borne Identity.
One of the best parts of the French comic this is based on is the sociopathic nature of the protagonist, he does not care, he is not moved by the act of killing people, it's just a job to him like if he were working at an office job but instead of pushing pencils he commits murders, there's a little more to him but largely the entertainment value is in seeing a man who is very good at one particular thing have to outwit and outmatch people who think severing ties with him is as simple as backstabbing him and leaving him for dead. This looks like it leans a little too much into the unnamed protagonist having redeemable qualities for my taste.
I didn't get redeemable from any of his.
Listen to Fincher talk about the protagonist - he doesn't recognize any redeemable qualities in him and finds him a very amusing person.
Just finished watching it. The character is not sympathetic to say the least.
From the reviews I've seen he has no redeeming anything.
Disagree with you on the last part.
David Fincher At His Absolute Best ❤
I freaking love when Michael gets a good director and script. Some how he was working so much he made some really bad movies. This might be his return to full glory with David Fincher.
David Fincher & Andrew Kevin Walker back again! This is just Incredible!!!
I've been dreaming about Fincher doing something more action oriented. This is gonna rule.
It’s not really an action movie (if it’s anything like the comic)
just saw it, it's an anti-action film so be prepared for that
also easily his least violent of all the thrillers he made, really surprised it got the reception it did at film festivals lmao (i loved it)
@@scrappycoco7428 This movie looks a little like a psychological thriller similar to Panic Room, any similarities?

Jealous you get to experience it for the first time, caught a screening of this a couple of days ago and loved it, it's great.
This feels like Hitman. So stoked for this!
it is VERY much like hitman. Heck if they made him bald it would fit right in, that's how on brand it is.
The comic itself is literally just a guy carrying out Hits for shady people - - while he monologues about his ethics and morals and views on the world. It’s really cool. If they made a Hitman movie (a proper one) it should be like this.
This is indeed what a Hitman movie should've been not the over the top crap that was released years ago
Saw it a few days ago and I believe this might be the closest we will get to a great Hitman movie, it really does.
Fassbender is a force of nature. A true artist. No doubt this will be something special 💯
Incredible film. Fincher has done it again and Fassbender was perfect for this role!
Micheal Fassbender for the next James Bond. He's been a good fit for that role for some time now.
Too old sadly
Nope!!..craig was 53 or so last bond movie...Its all about what shape they are in...fassbender is only 46...He has a good physique already..with training and a few "supplements" he would be jacked!...I think he would make a phenominal bond!....Daniel craig was the best bond so far in my opinion....We dont want a young bond..we want wisdom..experience...a little rough around the edges ,along with looking physically capable of busting heads!
@@stinkletoes8285I agree but studios usually want younger actors to make multiple movies.
I guess so...but for me an older/been around the block...yet still very physically capable agent is more convincing...Battle hardened so to speak...But I hear ya..@@godabandonedthistimeline
I have the same thing in mind
Boy does it feel good to have a vintage Fincher story on the horizon.
The same crowd that did not like the new Batman movie will not like this either. All I can say is this movie is so good. The sounds, cinematography, and narrating create suspense in ways few movies ever have. Will watch at least 2 more times. What a work of art!
I agree. This is a gem that's not for the average (or below-average) film lover.
i couldnt agree more
Just watched it. Its immaculate & awesome. NETFLIX needs to do a faithful HITMAN mini-series with Fincher where each episode is a mission from the games - theres so many amazing opportunities
Word on the street is that Andrew Kevin Walker's script is really an exploration of his impression of the millennial generation: from what the gig economy demands of us, to the seemingly meaningless duties of being a White House gofer, a chef, an Amazon delivery person, a copywriter at a high-powered marketing firm-- it's a film reflecting on what the current job market has done to warp the characters of young able-bodied people.
What I wanted the Hitman movie to be. Beyond excited
Fincher now has 4 movies in my top 10 all time with this masterpiece
Shout out to whoever edited this trailer. Dude killed it

Honestly I agree with this statement!!
The original Hitman movie starring Timothy Olyphant was superb too.

Honestly, I’ve been hooked on to the Fincher film ever since I saw Gone Girl. This looks introspective and adrenaline inducing👏. Man what a year we’re having for movies-
The Killer

Wish the movie was as fast paced as this trailer. If you don't fall asleep in the first 15 minutes you are in for a thrilling ride. This film is the definition of Slow burn.
True
David Fincher I'm so much looking for this. Please direct more movies
Damn, Fincher's worldview is seriously always super cool.
This is gonna be the best motivational film of the year
Awaken the hitman within😂
But it’s ruining the Mandalorian. I can’t get past it. He sounds just like him.
Fincher + Fassbender + Reznor = You already know it's going to be amazing
After finishing the movie, I can indeed say this is a better Hitman Agent 47 movie than the actual Hitman movies.
Fassbender/Fincher - I love it already.
I’m never one to suggest a movie has sequels/prequels but this would make such a fascinating character study if it was explored in more volumes or even a series (yes I know mindhunter, but I mean this specific character). I feel like the movie just cracked the surface and didn’t do as much philosophical justification as the graphic novel laid bare. Overall, it was a thrilling, often hilarious, twisted movie and I can’t wait to see it again!
I totally agree, the original novel deserves it's own series
It has a lot of material and would work very well especially with a director like David Fincher
Check out the pusher trilogy, it’s kind of what your looking for!
Yeah I was trying to figure out, how the hell does a law student end up becoming a hitman and what exactly "happens" to his philosophy during the movie?
Something sorta happens to his character after his meeting with Swinton, it's like he realises he doesn't want to be this machine anymore....but it's very vague.
I thought this was from the tom wood book the killer
i’d recommend the show Mr. Robot if you haven’t seen it already.
One of the best movies I've watched this year (or ever). I really enjoyed it from beginning to end
Another A+ from Fincher. Although avoiding trailers and only watching teasers makes for a better movie experience..
Yeah, but I thought this was an excellent trailer. It shows a lot, but really doesn't "give it away". Like so many other trailers...
Fincher+Fassbender. Exciting combo
Michael Fassbender is going to have a great year with 2 films, but he is undoubtedly in a film by the great David Fincher and it is an adaptation of a French comic, another great film is coming, with Mank they have divided opinions, but I hope The Killer returns the interest we have in David Fincher.
So I'm excited about this movie.
It would be interesting to see Fincher do a film like Hardcore Henry. That film was fun and silly, Fincher serious and gritty would be interesting variation to see

Another compelling film from the talented director David Fincher. One of the things that David does so well is the way he gets the viewer so interested in his films. You sit there, and while your watching, your continually curious as to what's going to happen next. This film has a lot of great visual aspects to it that add to the atmosphere and intrigue.
