I really can’t wait to see the origin of Mufasa and Scar!!! Yes, there are such things as white lions, although they’re very rare as there are very few left in existence. After the release of the original animated film, there were comics that showed the origin of Scar at the time. His original name was Taka and he received his scar from a cape buffalo. However in The Lion Guard, they changed his original name to Askari and changed his origin as well in which case he gets it from being bitten by a cobra while being tricked by an evil lion. I wonder if the idea of the white lion, Kiros, and his pride fighting Mufasa and Scar might’ve been inspired on the controversy of Kimba The White Lion vs The Lion King. 🦁😆🖤💛🧡❤️
I like the idea of Mufasa being the outsider. My thought before this trailer was that Scar would be the outsider and his resentment would grow out of that. Mufasa being the outsider / orphan adds a lot more to the story because it will be about him becoming king for reasons that aren’t hereditary.
There is a short story that was released in 1994 which is part of 6 short stories from the lion king adventure series spin offs ( 6 more adventures) titled “a tale of two brothers” which I think this film could be based on because in this book, Rafiki is telling a story to Simbas child about Taka (scar) and Mufasa’s upbringing. Also in this book explains how Rafiki and zazu become part of the pride. So maybe we will get a glimpse into their back stories too. Also explains how mischievous Taka was. Disney are opening up a lion king universe which could also introduce more of the lion king family tree and other parallels.
@@LuminationXP yea I think we will have more than just this prequel. We could also have something along the lines of Simbas pride in the future, that would be cool to see.
I Just Looked it Up and you are Right It has been So Long Since I have seen LK2 Kovu was originally written to be Scar's son. However, after realizing the incestuous undertones his romance with Kiara would have, the writers scrapped the idea and clarified in the film that he had no biological relation to Scar.
Hey Lumi, Great News, Disney And Pixar Are Now Offically Making "Incredibles 3", With Brad Bird Coming Back To Write And Direct It, The Awesomeness Will Live On!
Snow lions aren't a thing. These would be leucistic lions. Leucistic means they have reduced pigment in their colors. As opposed to a complete lack of pigment, which is how animals become albino. Both Leucism and albinism are recessive genes.

Kovu wasn't Scar's son.

I Couldn't Agree More.
@@LuminationXP I think it wouldn't make sense, if Mufasa and Scar are not biological brothers, they shouldn't affect each other's throne.

Thats Cool .. You might be Right They Might Show the origins of Rafiki and Zazu also Because Of How Young Mufasa and Taka Are

Kovu has the same chin as Mufasa. He looks like Simba with a Scar texture mod.
2:02 remains that simba and nala are half brothers
Uh no and you just called nala a male!
Knowing Disney Nala could Be Simba Half Brother 😅

Thank For Clearing This Up Because I was Like "Snow Lions.. What'?!" 😅
@@LuminationXP More precisely, Kovu is Scar's adopted son.
