Right??? All the way through Cesar does some really beautiful singing, and then hits a D-friggin’-6 at the end and gets no love. He is way too underrated.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Cesar hitting those extremely high notes on while Layne is playing the violin & near the end when he was front & center. Cesar is a force to be reckoned with.
@@EthanDrewMusic it isn’t just you-it’s like you can see reactors noticing something Cesar does but then something else happens and they get distracted and poor Cesar gets no love. LOL.
VoicePlay did do this song before on their album Time Machine when they were still the group 4:2:Five. At the time the group was made up of Geoff, Layne, Earl and a gentleman named James. I could not imagine how they were going to do this without Earl, but J, Cesar and Eli pulled it off. Oddly enough J was recently recast as a bass singer for the Navy. It was filmed in the vertical format on an iPhone because they lost their cameramen and still had not found a replacement. It was originally going to be a mini, but Layne got carried away and it became a full version.
This started off as one of Layne's shorts but it turned out to be such fun that he gave it the full length video in a short format. J None has been promoted to bass in the US Navy, but you could tell by how high he's singing. Also listen to Cesar's new notes C6 and D6 nearly a whistle while Layne is being VioLayne.
My guess is that Layne is double-tracked and is also doing the "poit" water droplet. Or, hell, who knows? Eli might be quite capable of doing them, too. :)
Thanks!
Thank you so much for kindness! ❤️
The song was written in 1939 in South Africa, in Zulu, and first became a US hit in translation into English in 1951. Long history.
Nice break down. Yes, VoicePlay att incredible. You didn't mention the whistletones by Cesar near the end though. New record high for him.

I have no idea why I didn’t mention it - but I definitely did notice it. Good call out!

Thanks for this reaction
🦁🔥 - that lion is NOT sleeping! It's doing some dad dancing and generally having a great time! 🌹🕊
Dude. If you haven’t found it already, find their cover of Tennessee Whiskey. J does a super clean run shooting up super high.
I love Chris Stapleton - that cover is coming, stay tuned!
The most fun one yet! J.None has always had a good range, To be fair they all have a good range.
Loved Cesar's whistle notes. ❤️ They're all just phenomenal 😊 Great reaction. Get some water!

I love the arrangement on this one, but I can't listen to it AND watch the video at the same time... I get too distracted by the animals, lol
