Poachers and trespassers try this all the time. My uncle owns several acres in the north Louisiana countryside that backs up to some wetlands. At least a couple of times a year he has to shew these idiots out of his own blinds. They always say the same thing; "What are you doing on MY LAND?!" At which point he points out the markings on just about every man-made object in sight and informs them that they aren't just random letters, they're the initials of his security company.

I used to take off from a park near my house. Kids would line up along the fence line before I took off and would swamp me after landing. Neighbors walking their dogs would stop and chat me up. Someone made a post about how cool it was on the Nextdoor app, and then one person wrote “is this really the kind of behavior we want to be exposing our children to?!?” Like I was selling drugs in the park or something. 99 people can love it, but it only takes one person to ruin it for everyone.

I owned acreage for 6 yrs before I built on it. Neighbors use to call the police and say I was trespassing, and on the weekends when we'd have get togethers, they'd make up stuff just to get firetrucks/police to show up. I found out later, the "neighbors" that were calling on me was the same people I bought the land from. After I built on the property, the city inspector kept sending me letters and pics of my backyard with my trailers and trying to say I was breaking an ordinance. I got an attorney, and the letters stopped. My attorney said they were violating my 4th amendment rights and that you couldn't even see my house from a public street, so no way they could see the back. The ordinance clearly stated "must be seen from public access." Also the ordinance didn't apply to personal property registered in my name. The inspector also claimed I was in violation for my fence since he found no permit was pulled. My attorney asked if was going to charge my neighbor, who is on the city council and my ward rep, for the failure to pull a permit since he was the one that put it up, and the inspector was dumbfounded and immediately dropped the whole thing. The pics, and all info was taken from my neighbors back yard looking over the fence acres away from his house and over 1000ft from public access. I knew then my city council neighbors were Karen's. They are control freaks and since then I have gotten to know other neighbors that all dislike them. You never know people till you know them.

We went through the same problems here in Australia when ultralight started. As we were limited to flying no lower than 300 feet and no higher than 500, running two stroke engines still in the infancy of flying with loud exhausts, it kicked us out of many flying fields. Karen’s with all sort of excuses such as scaring the horses, spying on them and just being anywhere near their houses ruined it all. Today, a $7500 ultralight is now in the range of $50,000 and has the full freedom to go anywhere except low flying it has killed the sport and turned it into lower cost general aviation. We live by regulations. My one suggestion is to focus on reducing the noise footprint. Being a slow aircraft you are in the area for an extended time and it is noticeable. Unless you can improve the silencing or as many are doing here going to four stroke, it is a matter of time before more infringements of your flying will happen. We regret we didn’t do something earlier.

My last post here on this topic, I promise...
Tucker, the last guy threatened you. And you just let it slide. My friend... You cannot do that. It's a huge deal and you have a DUTY to follow through to see him held accountable, even if it would be a hassle.
Please reconsider how you handle threats from others going forward.

You don’t know that. He probably is doing something about it just not advertising it on You Tube. You don’t give Tucker any credit. Why??

@Mike R: I had a point to make. You have a "probably". Why do you feel I need to be corrected? Seems silly, tbh.

I’ve been similarly hassled while hunting and fishing. I’m also an LEO, so I make it a point to follow the law.
Hassling hunters has to be the DUMBEST move anyone can make; the person you are confronting is armed, guaranteed. Doesn’t stop some people. They really believe this is their world and we just live in it. If Karen is willing to confront me while I’m open carrying multiple firearms, you’d better believe they will confront a paramotor pilot.
With my temperament, these confrontations would go very differently. Not saying you’re wrong for how you handle things, but I happen to skin the cat a different way.
There is nothing more satisfying than verbally demolishing a nosy Karen and sending them on their way while you go about your business.
