I'll miss Esoterickk once the D2 franchise has ended. Some of the best content I've seen for the game has come from this channel. Esoterickk is a master teacher and has taught all of us something. I just wish that Bungie made this game much more fun to attract masses who could enjoy this guy!
hi, I was walking around RUclips here and saw your video on Destiny 2 and I really liked you so great and gracefully passed through difficult levels that I was delighted you were amazing))).
Eso, what's a quick take on the state of the game from your perspective? I'm curious what one of the most dedicated players in the game still thinks about it to this day. Still using your 5 year old videos of the dreaming city to grind old triumphs out. Love your content.
@Yanicece that's just simply not true lol. As for the original question, my opinion of the current state of the game doesn't really differ from most. I think the biggest issue is that there's really no reason to play, nor anything to chase or progress towards for the last few years. The most dedicated players have nothing to seek after, and that problem has only persisted and become worse over time. Usually in any mmo or progression based game, there's always new loot to chase for to become more powerful and tackle the new content,, but with the current systems there's basically nothing. Armour will forever remain the same, so once you get the high stat sets you need, it effectively cuts your loot chase down drastically. Weapons are all so powerful and plentiful, that generally anything new will have a decent enough alternative you already have. So other than random exotics or the odd new weapon, 99% of the loot chase is non existent after playing for a while. Game difficulty is another problem, but that's not me saying "game 2 ez". It's just was strange to me one of the goals for Lightfall was to "bring challenge back to Destiny", but the only changes they made was to make the lower level content harder, without any changes to the highest levels of content. That didn't satisfy anybody, and just served to frustrate the more casual players by making lower level content more tedious. Overall I think a lot of the problems are hard to know how to fix, but for me personally there's just no point to nearly everything in the game. Easy enough to dismiss that as having played for too long, or having done everything there is in the game. But basically, any new season or DLC doesn't provide anything new or aspirational, nor something to progress that makes a meaningful difference overall. It's usually just knocking off a checklist of new content, and building around whatever the artifact says to for a few months. And I think that's a problem that most dedicated players find themselves in now.
@Esoterickk I'm impressed you were able to articulate that so well, and I'm glad I share a similar opinion to a true professional destiny player as a casual hobbiest myself. You hit the nail on the head to nearly every point I feel as well about the game. I was worried my own biases of Destiny as a long-time player (day 1 of D2) invalidated some of the ways I felt the game should or shouldn't be. Still have love for the game and Bungie. I just really hope the final shape isn't the nail in the coffin, although lightfall certainly seems to have severely tarnished the games reputation. Thanks for your insight. I really appreciate the consideration.
Thanks for all the support over the years as well man, I always see your comments (even if sometimes I miss replying to them), but it's very much appreciated
Eso, I'm curious to know which warlock strand build you find more effective/fun, the swarmers and quicksilver or the thorn and necrotics, or a different build altogether and id like to know your reasoning behind why you'd choose what you'd choose. Edit: Forgot about that new strand bow they added- curious to know if that beats out quicksilver or the thorn build as well
Depends on what you're doing really. If there's loads of groups of enemies that you can constantly keep the procs going on, then the Thorn / Necrotics will be better. Heist BG Moon is a perfect example. But Quicksilver is a better all-rounder for other scenarios, and doesn't rely on huge amounts of enemies to get going. The bow isn't that great, mostly niche and fun to use sort of thing
should, you can use rufus with armor pierce against those scorn shields and demo with frenzy, thats my, but then you lose powerful 3 grenades from quicksilver.
Ya kno this is a great video but the gameplay video should say “GrandMaster Nightfall” In the left hand corner of the screen . Just curious bcuz it always does when I run them . Plus you’re destroying EVERYTHING w an AR .
Good question actually. I'd probably have to say The Inverted Spire, it's not the most challenging, nor the absolute best strike. But ever since the D2 beta I've always had a soft spot for it
I really hate everything about scorn.they are the most cheating enemy of all destiny. The teleport evwn though they are burning or poison the tick damage when they are teleport become useless n they became immune when the teleport & after they finished teleport even though they have not fully form their body but they can already start shooting at you. And i think bungie its buffing the dude with the scorn pistol & shield cause their damage is insane & this boss fight its like fighting with cockrach with weapon.
What would you say is the safest and easiest loadout to solo birthplace with? I'm equally good on all characters but feel like graviton lemonarque is the best
Absolute safest would be graviton invis hunter for sure. The only pain points are capturing the plates and the boss fight, both of which can be negated by the constant invis
Unraveling targets is super useful for the horde shuttle perk. It's kinda hard to get it with the orbs of power as you have to keep your distance in gms usually so getting the orbs you make is tricky. This makes it easier to unravel a lot of targets quickly and start the threading army loop.
Yeah sure, I understand the concept and can read the tooltip. But it's rather pointless if you only procc it like 2 times in the whole run. It was really a good run, but he over-capped his arcane needle/powered meele a whole lot of the run. Yeah the idea of killing a red bar with an AN and then having UR for the rest is nice and good.@@siraxolotl2634
@@siraxolotl2634 no that artifact mod is just occasional spawn. and i wrote how unravel works, like destabilization adds about 10% more damage. sure threadlings are extra damage but even after buff they are pathetic. better use other options. just using mantle of battle harmony you get surge 4x 25% for 10s after every kill when super is charged for same color weapons. next pulling quicksilver from collections and not adding catalyst it stays kinetic not strand and does 10% more damage
strange fragments choice, threadling and unraveling already are on artefact, i would choose woven mail from picking orbs, same as on artifact strand/solar siphon, instead overload rockets origin specialization for tracer rockets on quicksilver. i assume shoots one more on whole mag, pulse has 45% mag activation

I love how strand warlock became the oops all unraveling class when it was supposed to be the threadling master. At least hoard shuffle is good

Question: How do you get strand ability on the quicksilver exotic?
Catalyst
i believe 2 elemental charge mods dont provide any benefit over 1, you need 3 to get increased frequency (every other tangle -> every tangle)
Correct, its 50%/50%/100% for 1/2/3 perks
Good to know, cheers!
Is there a Loaded Question roll worth grinding for?
Envious Assassin / Controlled Burst is a pretty good one
Is this build still viable after the threadling nerf? Asking for a biddy if mine, he made a threadling build right before they announced the nerf lol
