@@miatahelix one more question. Do you still have all the parts from bofi racing installed or did you swap out some parts. Its because I am thinking of getting the kit and rather just downland a tune from someone else who has the exact same setup. save $500 dyno tune.
@@WorstPaperCut everything you need includet in the kit. But always you will need more parts when you boost your car. After add bofi racing kit i have to change radietor to a biger one. Olso water rerout kit. Smaller pullay for little more boost. And finaly new clutch. Also add water oil and boost gatdets to monitor your engine.
@@miatahelix did you ever get a dyno on the car? I read on some miata pages that M45 hp out is like 160 WHP. you stated that the car makes 190WHP on virtual dyno. Unless you did a smaller supercharger pulley.

Will bare that in mind, I'm totally in favour of supercharging over turbo, it ties in with main aspect of the mx5 which is good throttle response, I just don't like the supercharger sound, like a knackered bearing
@@whiteforest09 This setup has the throttle body between SC and the engine. It has a vacuum operated bypass valve that opens under low throttle position conditions, the vacuum signal comes from the intake between the throttle body and the engine.
Lol yes my air filter was my nemesis. From then I have changed 10 times the location, custom made airboxes ets. Now i have the most lightweight one, only 20cm straight pipe with filter at the end.

Very nice kit easy to install if you have some basic knownlage. Ask them to send you installation instractions will be help.

I use my mx5 80% for track days. If the m45 recondition well will be no problem and reliable .

do you know the size of the silicone and metal hoses you've used on the supercharger intake?
No i never checked, it was in the bofi racing kit.
Did you remove the heater radiador?
i remove heater and ac from the car.

How much money did you spend on this kit?
In 2020 when I bought the kit was around 2800euro, + the tuner, + some extra parts I wanted to add.
It feels abit tight
get it tuned at motorsports electronics!! i did.
How much psi? Stock belt?
7.25 psi with 15% reduce puley
The only thing that puts me off supercharging mine is the sound 😖
You can add second throtle body with a good isolation around your filter you can reduse the sound.

sorry for late reply, my bypass is from a mini, it was in the kit i order from bofi racing.
