I loved this video. I think what i liked best is your tone: no- nonsense, no ego, but also not over-explaining things and making it boring. And it's amazing how such simple techniques can make really great paintjobs- that chaos knight at the end looked class!
Right on! I really liked your humour and the mini turned out looking great. I’m a total beginner i’ll be trying to recreate this. Fingers crossed ;D i’ll definitely stick around your channel for future videos. Cheers.
Just got into Slaves and was looking for a way to give an easy change from my pre-painted models for some variety. Great video and thanks from your neighbors across the pond!
i should go for more speed painting. it looks completely okay on the table and I finally will finish some armies that are for playing and not for display anyways. Thru youtube and all these great content creators every army and model of mine turned out to be a huge creative project but i havent finished anything in almost a year... gr8 video mate
That's the issue isn't it? I sit down and think "Yup, this entire army will be a slow-burn, beautifully painted project and I'll win all sorts of awards" and then a month later it's in a box in the garage whilst I work on something to get a game in with. So the whole point of this channel is to find a happy balance - making it look great without an entire decade passing between starting and finishing it. I think I'm striking a good balance 😀
Lmfao!🤪 😂😊 The background Fam noise was absolutely Priceless! I love your speed painting tutorials and you have helped me through my Black Templar Combat Patrol!!!!!!!! I wish to thank you for ur sharing! I know that you have done Chaos Warriors , but have u done Black Legion????Abaddon ? Thanks Live Long And Prosper 🖖🏻
Brilliant video mate, love the simple and unpretentious tone its very refreshing! Could i ask, would you do exactly the same scheme for Chosen or would you make any alterations?
Exactly the same for Chosen! They have less colourful detail on them though. For skin tones, I would use Rakarth Flesh, shade with Reikland Fleshshade and then relayer with Rakarth Flesh before adding a highlight with thinned Pallid Wych Flesh.
Great video but if i may ask.. what brand of undercoat/primer did you use? im planning on using this method for my chaos warriors but i dont have the primer itself
Will do buddy! Filming 2-3 speed painting guides tomorrow so They'll be up over the next couple of weeks. Let me know if there's anything in particular you want to see?
If you've painted the armour black, some thin coats of Iron Warriors will be absolutely fine. Don't just scoop it out the pot or you'll start to lose detail.

Thanks very much! Gotta love a bit of monotone Britishness, eh?
Glad it helped! Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see.
For people like me, who only have cheap paints, this classic painting techniques are gold.

Very common feature lol
Spectacular video!!!! ❤⚔️
great video man
Yo man. Loved the vid. The last few minutes were hilarious. I hear you, though my “ambience” is kids arguing
I have 4, so it's the same here a lot of the time! When filming that video that were in bed though 😄
Great vid mate ! I’ve been struggling with painting mine atm, went for a blue highlight on the armour but might just go with the silver now !

This video was incredibly helpful, thank you! :)
Glad to hear it!
Love this, going to be using this
Amazing guide :D
Great tutorial and it's helped me get my arse in gear to paint my Slaves to Darkness Bix set!
Pleased to hear it! They do look really good at the end.

Great vid. Gonna do my chaos chosen like this!
So am I 😁

I used Colour Forge Matt Black, which is identical to Citadel Chaos Black. Grab some of it from your local Warhammer store or local gaming store. ☺️
@@criticalhitwargaming5290 got it. thank you so much man
If the fantastic painting didn't earn you a sub, that end dialogue did 😂
Aha, yeah that's my wife for you
What color did you paint the horses themselves when you painted the Chaos Knights?
Left it black. Just highlighted it with Stormvermin Fur and Skavenblight Dinge. 🙂
@@criticalhitwargaming5290 awesome, that’s what I’ll do then too.
MORE SPEED PAINTING OF WARHAMMER AOS PLEASE!
Will do buddy! Filming 2-3 speed painting guides tomorrow so They'll be up over the next couple of weeks. Let me know if there's anything in particular you want to see?
What about thinning your metallic paint down with either inks or contrast paints to get both the darkening and the thinning together?
Always an option! These are guides, not rules - if you find something that works for you, go for it!
Subbed on "Stupid British Wanker"! Love it. Great video
Aha thanks. It's also true.
You think I’m able to just paint over my miniatures with this tutorial ? Worried it’ll dull the details.

@@criticalhitwargaming5290 yeah just primed chaos black with abbadon black with dark reaper highlights
@supernosh123 you'll be absolutely fine then mate. Iron Warriors over the black, Nuln Oil and highlight! They come out looking really good.
