Is it good at measuring crushed coal inside silo? Is it good at measuring ilmenite sands inside silo? We want to measure weight of each material that has been consumed.
Hello, thanks for your question. Non-contact radar sensors can be used for such measurements as shown in our application example here: www.vega.com/en-de/industries/energy/coal-power-plant/coal-surge-bin-i If you have further questions, please contact your local VEGA representative: www.vega.com/en-de/company/vega-worldwide
Hello Govind Raj , thanks for your question. A radar for level measurement works according to the time of flight measuring principle. Which means the level measurement is based on the time between sending and receiving a microwave signal. The microwaves emitted by the sensor are reflected by the surface of the product in the silo. Therefore it is important that the sensor is aimed at the outlet of the silo. Only with this precise orientation is it possible to get a clear measurement of the level over the entire height of the silo. Is that what you mean? Feel free to contact us if you have further questions.
@@VEGA_Level_Pressure thanks for your immediate response. As I'm working Diagnostics Developer for RADAR sensor, here we have 4 types of alignment which is Active alignment, Passive alignment, vertical and Horizontal alignment. I have understanding of Vertical and Horizontal but I'm not understanding what is the difference between Active alignment and Passive alignment.
@@govindraj7061 The alignment of radar sensors for level measurement shown in the video is only mechanical. We assume that your question regarding active, passive, horizontal and vertical alignment refers to another type of radar sensors?
Hello Santosh Savant, please reach out to one of our subsidiaries/agencies. Here is an overview of where to find VEGA worldwide: www.vega.com/en/company/vega-worldwide
