Sri Papnasam Sivan lived most of his life in Mylapore, he sang Bhajana and Keertanascwith great devotion, walking around the temple. Great musicians of his time used to come, just to hear him sing with Bhakthi fervour.
In this composition in Raga Valaji he brings the quintessential Beauty of Mylapore, which rings with Music even today.
