Awwe Sam you are doing so great!! I will never get use to Cookie being a male! Lol! You can use a flat surface and target them around your hand if they step on your hand use a bit larger reward. If they have fear of hands this can help.
Cookie is more vocal then past videos! Your videos make me want a bird friend but my friends said they are loud. I don't do well with loud noises as i have chronic migraines :-(
Budgies are great! They can be vocal, but their vocalizations are usually soft and cute, not loud squawks. And they’re very very smart, easy to train, and so sweet
Love watching you interact with your birds, I have a new rescue Amazon only had her since Nov but she’s afraid of hands and will not step up every time I get close she moves away, she will target beautifully and has started allowing me to scratch her head will take treats really gently from my fingers but shows no interest in coming off the top of her cage 😭
Omg baby steps though!! Try changing diet to cold pressed pellets and veggie/grain/legume chop!! My birds were not as friendly when I had them on a seed diet.

Some birds aren’t that loud, I used to have finches and absolutely loved them!! You can even teach them to be held. They’re so pleasant and fun.
