Can independent t test be used for discreet data as long as it is normally distributed and with equal variance ? I can see in your example that you have used it for HR which is a discreet variable. Just want to be sure

HR is not discreet variables, it is continuous variable . I hope we can use discrete variable , please let me know if some one has different idea.
