For "how to play" instructions: my personal Bible on harmonica playing is this 5-min-long video: Harmonica Lesson For Beginners I watched that and haven't needed more instructions, tho I suggest you to watch his other videos too to learn all the techniques properly.
As for harmonicas: my instruments of choice are diatonic Hohner Blues Harp MS in key C (same one the guy has on the video) and chromatic Hohner Super Chromonica 270/48, which I use on the Koukai vid. I haven't played any other models, as they've covered my needs adequately so far, being quality instruments with classic sound.
