I watched this show in the US on PBS all the time. Most of it went over my head, but it's so great now as an adult. It’s really unique how varied the show is, mixing stand-up monologue, sketch comedy, and conventional sitcom.
And those pre-recorded expos of Red’s inventions with sarcastic VO. Each one is clever, too; an invention is explained, demoed, and fails as a chaotic Rube Goldberg. And someone has to really build that stuff, in a way that will genuinely do what it's supposed to at first.
They put a lot of work into a show that pretends it’s thrown together.

I used to stay up late as a kid to watch this show on PBS! watching it here in 2019 and damn it- it holds up!
I forgot how many “the wife” jokes were made in this show.. still iconic.
Since installing my own toy dog on a copper pipe I have yet to be chased by any dogs. Shit works!

Had seen this show come up on my recommended list for ages and figured it was some leftie greenie rubbish until I watched the short clip putting the tractor wheels on the Honda. So glad that I did, this is great.

Ranger Gord is my favorite. He's such a funny actor.
Ranger Gord is my second favorite character thanks to his earnest goofy nature and his animated segments. My favorite character is probably Mike since i grew up around of lovable rouges like him.

Red Green was one of the BEST shows on television. It was good clean fun, heartwarming, and family friendly. 🤣📺👍
What I love about reds wierd ass contraptions and machines he builds.. is that with a few tweaks they could easily work irl... Idk why this man never became an inventor. He certainly has the brains, and intelligence.. and out of the box way of thinking you need for it.

Red Green Tour 2013!!! Saw the ads for it on the TV the other day, well I just bought two tickets for the first show in Surrey BC and decided while I am at it I might as well buy the complete DVD collection.
I saw Red Green at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati two years ago!

The Red Green Show was 1 of the greatest things to come from the 90s. It was must see TV in my house. My Dad loved this guy !

one of the funniest shows I have seen, saw this on PBS I think, one of three channels my old TV antennae could pick up, used to har har all the time to this show.
The pay off for the angel joke was so worth it

Ranger "Gord Ranger" is funny as heck. He was stuck up there for many years and has gone insane. I love his cartoons!!! And The reason he goes by Ranger Gord instead of Ranger Ranger (last name like Ranger Smith) would be silly. RIP Mike Hammar (The actor).
Gord is boring as all get out. And it's Mike Hamar.

I started watching this show from episode one back when it first aired it’s always had something special and funny and watching ranger gord slowly crack over the years has to be one of the more oddly funny parts to the show but he was already pretty bad when it started 😂 i always thought he was a funny part of the show

I believe that our angel is Dwight ain't he? I think that was his name. He came along a season or 2 later. I love how lazy he is!
there's spots you can go to (all over the place, actually) where for whatever reason, it will appear as though there is a slight upgrade, but in fact, if you roll a ball towards the crest, the ball will go up the "hill". look up "magnetic hills near me" in google.

"Magnetic Hill"; I actually saw a "Gravity Hill" segment on the old "That's Incredible!" show. It was an optical illusion; one traveled downhill to a stop sign, where the road beyond looks like it's going uphill, but it's really just a shallower downhill.
This was a GREAT show!

Watching this in the year 2019, from the USA, 20 years after it was broadcast. Interesting to note the gas station attendant was making $8.00 an hour.
I make that now delivering pizza
20 years ago minimum wage was $5.15 an hour. $8 an hour wasn’t bad for a gas station job.

The "Angel" in the this episode is the same guy who played the lazy possum lake marina operator in the earlier seasons.
You sure? I'm pretty sure this is the guy that played the lazy Port Asbestos marina operator Dwight in later seasons... the lazy possum lake marina operator from earlier seasons was the RV obsessed guy.

I know, some of the inventions are actually not that far fetched.
Like the time Red made the catamaran out of heating ducts or the time he made the tobaggan lift out of two tobaggans and a frozen turkey.
I ran across this show because I was bored and now I'm hooked. Some of the earlier episodes you know you can tell they are earlier episodes because reds beard isn't all white loke it is in later episodes, those earlier episodes aren't as funny as all the later ones . Red green is hilarious. It took the a bit to really find its groove but once they did wow I wish there were more episodes.

I love this show! I like that this season Red's inventions actually work and I agree with other comments that the forklift idea was smart. The only thing I don't care for so much is the Ranger Gord cartoons. But the rare times those occur I just skip them.
I would sacrifice Honey Boo Boo for a nickel.

You have to appreciate a competent hi lift operator. Look at ole red/green doing normal work in the middle of the easy all day long day. Try showing up at 3am and you need to call the boss to down rack as an ordinary day.
