I'm almost 76. I never had a hot flash, mood swings, nothing. I always regarded my periods as an indication of my health, and never had any problems with them. I DID have a period of really heavy bleeding when I was under a great deal of stress - also I was sailing on an old schooner in Maine, lots of physical activity. LOTS of blood, nothing more. Dr. tested, nothing wrong. Onset of Perimenopause. The following period was somewhat heavy...then they went back to normal. And eventually tapered off.
I've never taken any Hormones or anything. I trust my body!

    Thank you, Dr Robert!
‘Ultimately’ it was a satisfying journey. I just wish I’d received this sort of wisdom as clearly and succinctly at peri-menopause when the “sales pitch” from the conventional system started to get me doubting my own body. I had to find inner reserves of strength and mettle to push back.

Because of the logic you've shared for cause of menopause i wonder if a woman who never had children will have late onset of menopause.

I’ve been taking care of myself all my life and I’m very healthy. Yet I have many symptoms of menopause. So your theory doesn’t hold for everyone.

Dear Dr Svoboda, thank you for all you do! My wife was diagnosed recently with primary ovarian insufficiency, and I will still recomend her to read the book you mentioned in the last comment, but in her case does that change anything at all regarding your suggestions? She started having symptoms in her early 30s! Any feedback is highly appreciated. Thanks again
