I like Mike Scott's lyrics to this one. Great sentiment here. It's like he's channelling a wee bit of Jim Morrison with this bluesy sound...I picked up the CD in a charity shop, I saw this track on it and went..."Yeah...think I was meant to buy this to hear that!". Glad I did!.
Great Bluesy track from a great Scots poet and musician. Steve Wickham from Dublin is unbelievable on the violin which is better than a lead guitar !! Keep on boys !
So sad that Steve Wickham felt so sidelined and under-appreciated that he left the band, this song highlights perfectly how much power he brought to the band, so effortlessy. He will be a huge loss to them, especially live.
