People complained about this mission not allowing for co-op, but it was for a deliberate purpose. The atmosphere and immersion would have been broken if it would have two players.
They also didn’t have co-op for black cat which would’ve been really cool but I understand why they didn’t, it probably would’ve been very difficult to implement
Honestly vendetta without coop makes sense because in coop, one player plays as dimitri, the other 3 players play as random soviet soldier. Like in American Campaign where the other 3 player(Marines) Rescue Miller(Host probably)
I think that's a poor excuse. WaW in general has great atmosphere and immersion. It's a flaw that should've been addressed to make a great game even better.
What I noticed from the three big COD WW2 games is: Vanguard was the good guys vs the bad guy story. WW2 romanticized the war with brother in arms story. And World at War showed the brutal reality of warfare. It’s the reason why World at War was a great game and accurate historically. We’re never getting another cod ww2 game like that again, especially in this modern time.

Call of duty focus too much on future warfare and if they make war games it’s about the western front always USA vs Germany, they need to focus more on the eastern front or pacific theatre like you mentioned
How i would love to have seen a chinese front in Call of Duty (there is a mod). Nanjing was where most atrocities took place. Its the most underrated front when we talk about WW2 partly because most of it took place before the war in Europe began.

this track still gives me goosebumps, the soundtrack to this game is iconic, as well as portraying the pacific campaign, which almost all ww2 games involving americans focus about D-day and liberation of france. That was just a quarter of the war.
The song is called Brave Soldat. I like how this whole first half of the mission in the fountain and stuff is based off the same scenario from the movie Enemy at the Gates...great movie.
I love how when you're in the fountain, your POV shows how the sky is just filled with Luftwaffe bomber planes. Gives a good idea how determined to bomb Stalingrad into oblivion they were. I really wish the fountain looked like the real Stalingrad fountain, showing a group of children dancing around a crocodile.

This game really opened my eyes to how brutal and devastating the Soviet campaign during WW2 was. My schools usually always gave the most brief descriptions of their side of the war.
I remember playing this with my dad for the first time. We always switched who had the controller after every mission. That was until we figured out it had coop and it changed the game.
Thinking back on it now, i played this game when i was too young, i remembered crying and thinking, why aren't they helping them and all these years later i know why and that hurts even worse
im 28 years old and i was 13 playing cod waw wich was my first call of duty and my last call of duty was bo3 after that never bought other call of duty game. call of duty world at war will always be in my heart. if activision makes world at war remake or atleast bo1 remake that would be one of the best thing in this life.

The opening of this scene is very chilling. The Wehrmacht Soldiers slaughtering the other dying Soviets fits well with the opening music.

Now ww2 AAA shooters are full of shit:
-Womans were not allowed into the battlefields
-If you lost an arm, game over. There were no prothesis or similar shit back then.
-War is crude, brutal and nobody won.
-america is no hero, due to unleash two nuclear weapons on two cities full of civilians and following up the soviet-american cold war and vietnam war, and yet, those new age ww2 games show that america is the savior, russia and germany are the enemies.
-theatrical hollywood storyline dosen't exsit in war: no one cares about you or if they do in war, they won't be close to you or die for you. Cod ww2 is the biggest example.
-last but not least: if a ww2 game has a multyplayer mode,make it like it was in ww2: remove all of that assist shit, all those wierd gun equips, like red dots, in ww2... really? And guns should be brutal in executing your enemy: in COD WW2 if you shoot a guy with an mg42 in the legs, he takes damage and if he dies, he falls on the ground;
In COD WAW if you shoot a guy with an mg42 in the legs, they get torn apart,like irl.
All of this mixed up makes for a joke of a game and nit a game that shows the real horrors of War

This game really opened my eyes to how brutal and devastating the Soviet campaign during WW2 was. My schools usually always gave the most brief descriptions of their side of the war.
honestly been looking for the last part for so long. heard it in zombies and couldn't never find it since.
I remember playing this with my dad for the first time. We always switched who had the controller after every mission. That was until we figured out it had coop and it changed the game.
This game taught what non will ever teach effectively again, the absolute horror of war
In my opinion, the Cod Waw Stalingrad mission is better than Cod Vanguard's Stalingrad mission.

The memories of all those soldiers I butchered as a child are coming back to me as I listen to this.
Thinking back on it now, i played this game when i was too young, i remembered crying and thinking, why aren't they helping them and all these years later i know why and that hurts even worse

im 28 years old and i was 13 playing cod waw wich was my first call of duty and my last call of duty was bo3 after that never bought other call of duty game. call of duty world at war will always be in my heart. if activision makes world at war remake or atleast bo1 remake that would be one of the best thing in this life.
