typo yes, sue the hell out of them for all THEIR Negligence, complacency, odd and abnormal reactions and responses that did not follow emergency response Safety Protocol. There is no excuse For all what happened.
@@jimshoe402 Jim, what is DEI? Wonder if notification of all the bonuses and why they received them have been disclosed? Some type of payoff had to be paid out, because normal, educated, trained in Emergency Response Protocol would have NEVER handled this Fire Emergency this way. Extremely odd and Abnormal responses, especially for Police Chief Pelletier who with 23 years Police experience, is unable to identify the towns one and only evacuation escape route out.North Hwy 30, never figured to halt all the Hwy 30 South Bound Traffic From Napili on down and then open up and contra flow all Lanes of It Hwy 30 North! He also knew Lahaina Luna Road was funnel forced into Front Street and was the Towns main alternate Route out, because he never made sure the Hwy 30 Southern Evacuation Escape Exit was cleared and open and Best of All, he topped it all off with Blockades and nose to nose Police Vehicles to Finish the trap! Wow! 23 years Cop experience teaches a person a lot of Strategies on how to trap a whole town into a deadly Firestorm.
I looked up DEI= Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. These are values and Policies to Promote fair treatment, support, and Full Participation of People who have been historically underrepresented.
That Lady Attorney was also present in the EOC all day on 8/08/23. She is a witness and Participant of that negligent emergency response and Also a Note taker of it, in which All of MEMAS Notes from each person present still haven't been turned in to A.G. yet. She is Party to the lawsuit and also a participant emergency responder and then Doubles as the County Lawyer! Isn't this a conflict of interest? I don't know, not a Lawyer, Just know a lot is seriously wrong. 😢
I think the problem they are going to run into is 95% of the structures that burned were not up to fire codes. For example, the house at 271 Front St. didn't burn because it WAS up to code. Not only that, but the 451 plaintiffs will not all agree to whatever the amount is.
Don't settle....
Correct it went from $1m to $1.5m in a month.Hire good people..
@@bethwhite2857 I agree, Do not settle.
Any forensic investigation?
Might be a little too late as those containers that were being used after the fires and off limits to the public was the forensics available.

Yes she's a lawyer and doubles as Corporation Counsel. She also doesn't want the head of MEMA to have an interview as MPD/MFD did their reports.WHY?
Speaking of a matter with enthusiasm, doesn't make it a positive outcome.
Sue, don't settle.
One million or less in NOT enough, don't be fooled twice.

Trillions dollar settlement that rebuilds the homes and pays for the trauma inflicted and hundreds of lives lost would be good.
