@@Gryphonette Probably considered too raunchy for mainstream audiences in the 60's. Bill included it when he made an album in his 70's called From Your Heart To Mine: Dedicated to the Blues. Still sounded sexy as hell.
This tune was first originally written and performed by blues legend Muddy Waters. A lot of people have covered this tune, including bands like the Rolling Stones, but outside of Muddy himself, this is the best version I've heard
Y’all have become my safe drug of choice: you are addicting! Return to college and study musicology at the prestigious Berkeley School of Music, in Boston, MA. The Righteous Brother’s music was influenced by the Blues genre. Love y’all!❤️❤️
@2studiosinc My son is getting his masters at Berklee College of Music in Boston. If you're going to Berkeley then you would be in California. Just saying..
They do complete justice to that funky Muddy Waters song! And the man playing that funky funky Blues guitar was none other than Glen Campbell the country star.
Hey young dudes don't worry, I was a teenager when the Righteous Brothers came out. I am white and I thought they were black too at first. All I knew was I liked their music and I didn't care what race they were. That goes for today too, don't care what race they are as long as I like their music.
If we want to be truthful, white “sensations” like Elvis stole black music and recorded it to make it cross over to a white audience. Black blues singers “taught” them all.
My husband can and has bought me some lovely things BUT it's the small, considerate, everyday, self sacrificing kind of love that he shows me is that has kept us going strong. Christ centered. 30+ years and 4 daughters. God bless you kiddos. I hope you both find the same thing as me.🥰
If her heart is on the right place, a lady will always choose love, affection, respect, and companionship over material, frivolous things. If not, be careful! Man this song is a killer! 😍
Righteous Brothers were great growing up with. They were talented and seemed quite happy they were so well received by everyone. They were very popular their entire career. You gentlemen are absolutely correct in recognizing their talent. It was unmistakeable by virtually all music lovers.
AMEN!!!!!!! And I am a woman lol! Let her earn her own way! And if you do get married, GET THAT PRE_NUP so that you don't inherit his/her debt! Forget the assets, even if you guys don't have assets, they will split debt ownership down the middle , even if he/shes the one who ran up the bill. True story , wisdom from a divorced woman (...but I ain't bitter LMAO)
The Rightous Brothers' last hit was in the mid 70's. It is called Rock and Roll Heaven and it is a tribute song to all of the great artists who had passed on to their great reward in Heaven. I hope you both will get to review it. BTW, this is called Blue Eyed Soul.
Absolutely loving your channel. I would love to see you and your brother react to Chris Isaak. He has the most phenomenal voice and plays a mean guitar. Try Wicked Games to start. Also Robbie Williams; anything live, but try his version of Mr Bojangles. One of the best. Keep the good times rolling and the songs coming.
Thank you, Sue Churchill!!! I never heard of either one of those -- and LOVED the pieces you recommended!! You Twins surely ARE starting a NewTrend! -- you are helping unite us all with ageless music, the language of the spirit and soul. Thank you !!
This is a great blues song written by the one and only Willie Dixon. It's been covered by so many people, including The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Animals and the late, great Muddy Waters.
I have a Masters in music performance from the Juilliard School and I am learning more about music from watching your videos than I did going to school there.
The righteous Brothers were from my days of growing up and when we listen to music back in that day we never discussed whether it was black or white singers we just enjoyed music. I'm glad to see y'all enjoying music during my younger days.
You are so right ! These guys are the best. I agree with you. At one time we had an old vinyl album of them. A record. Lol. Great reaction. You guys make made me laugh in the beginning. Thanks for what you do. ❣️🎵
The material stuff doesn’t matter one bit! When my husband cuddles with me or rubs my back, that gets me every time. The little tokens of love matter! If you love a woman, do all the little personal things for her.
Just real love that’s what matters. Just found you guys yesterday and can NOT stop watching!! Showed me some I have never heard of and love!! New artist for me! These guys are one of my favorites from years ago. Thank You and keep it up!!!!💜💜💜
you gotta listen to jefferson airplanes- white rabbit ( itll make a great video promise with their unique rock and roll sound and great leader singer of the late 60's)
Actually, two of the other band members sang lead at times and after Grace Slick (Lead) left the group they took over lead. Grace wrote "White Rabbit" and "Somebody To Love"; which , together, brought this group to the forefront of the music of the time. I would recommend both very highly.
Much love going out to you two young men! Keep it real, you’re doing a terrific job on this channel. I love the connection you’re creating here going beyond genres and age! Your reactions are the best, especially to the Righteous Brothers❤️💯❤️
I said before..I saw these brilliant voices as the backup band with the Beattles in 1964. They killed it. Soul thru their toes. Try out Josh Stone..white blues singer that has the complete deep beautiful style beyond color. Love you fellas.
I also thought they were Black, right up until I watched your last Righteous Bros reaction, lol. And that IS the point, there is no color in music, just like there is no color in life. People are just people. All of us. Thanks for bringing us all together over music, I'm loving walking down memory lane enjoying it all with you through your eyes!
Awesome !! Love the Righteous Brothers... Foghat did a great rocked up, jammin version of this song... y'all should check it out !! Thanks for sharing !!

"I Just Want to Make Love to You" is a blues song written by Willie Dixon. In 1954, it was recorded by Muddy Waters, and released as a single. A black blue singer was the first to sing this song and copied by many artist. It's sad Muddy Waters never received the true recognition who originated singing this song.
Awesome era , awesome duo , brothers by CHOICE, blue eyed soul . Their name Righteous Bros was suggested to them by coloured folk who appreciated their sound & style . They were spot on !! Singing with angels now 😇
Have you guys ever seen “Dirty Dancing”? If you have , the Song at the end “I had the time of my life.” When they do that last dance, is Jennifer Warren and the Tall dark headed guy from the Righteous Bros. If you haven’t heard that song , and you like the Righteous Bros. Check it out. It’s awesome. Just a little useless knowledge! Lol
They were a great duo. We personally didn't care that they were white, but there were political and safety reasons they were probably pulled from black stations since America was segregated. America wasn't beautiful for all people, so please don't disparage people that had limited choices. Saying all that to say - music has no boundaries and it's delightful to see you enjoy old school music Young-star.
Hey Guys. Since you liked this you might like to know they were only 24 when they made this album. In his mid 70's Bill Medley recorded a blues album called From Your Heart To Mine. He included this song 60 years after he first sang it. He can still sing kick ass blues and sounds sexy as ever. The album is on UTUBE. You might want to give it a listen to compare. Or you could do a reaction to his own composition This Will Be The Last Time (I Ever Have the Blues) That one tears my heart out! 💔 You boyz are special. Funny and respectful of all good music. 😍
I'm on a roll with ideas for you today. It's Sunday, pasta day for my Italian American family. Suggest the song "The Weight" from the band called "The Band" . the video I like is from their documentary " The Last Waltz" bc includes the Staple Singers. God bless!

'Just close your eyes and see if they sound white.' Ahahaha! So funny. 🎄💝

They sound Black. If I hadn’t seen them, I never would have believed they were white. 🤣😂😅
Love there remarks and expressions. They do sound black..never thought of that.LOL
So funny
Wow. I've been listening to the Righteous Brothers my whole life, but I've never heard this song before. Thank you for introducing me to this song!
I'm 1000 years old and had no idea the Righteous Brothers did this song! 😆 I only knew (and love) the later Foghat version
Me, too! Where the heck has this song been?!?!

Back when women were in the home working and often feeling a bit underappreciated doing cooking and laundry.
This tune was first originally written and performed by blues legend Muddy Waters. A lot of people have covered this tune, including bands like the Rolling Stones, but outside of Muddy himself, this is the best version I've heard

They were something special. Before my time but I’m 40 and heard a lot of their songs as a kid from my family.
A current singer that also sounds black if you close your eyes is Marc Broussard. Check out his video of Home. It is some good ole bayou blues.
