- Update on the Glacial Hammer Jugg that I league started with. In this video I talk about issues I ran into and changes to the tree and gem links early on. As well as my thoughts overall on the build!

I'm being baited by you in SSF and 2 of my first handful of unique drops were frostbreath and pillar of the caged god. Somebody out there really wants me to play trauma in one way or another.
wasnt going to play this league untill i saw your video on this build. even if it is bait im having a lot of fun playing melee again for the first time since 2019 and im really glad you made this POB and these videos. thank you so much :)
Such a great feeling build early. Hope damage can scale to endgame if not easy to respec. Great build so far. Freeze shattering mobs is probably the most satisfying feeling in game. Even better than ignite/explody.
Depends on what you Wana do. You can easily get one or two million DPS, and be fairly tanky. You can get higher DPS than that, but how long that takes depends on the player.
Did lightning arrow last league, doing gh this league! Thank you for another banger! Keep the updates rolling
im in red maps, got heatshiver, yoke, divergent trauma, it is not bad so far but I have a feeling i will hit a wall very soon. Probably can do pinacle bosses but idk, even with 90% phys reduc I get rekt at around 30 trauma stacks. Damage takes time to ramp up, mapping is sub par to other builds. Its not a bait but imo it will be just an average build at best.
I leveled this at league start, honestly build is solid, however im used to zoomy builds and i cannot play this. I think its good and if you're a hardcore/SSF guy i would recommend
Always enjoy your videos, I hope to try this build if I get the weapon to drop on SSF, cheers :)
im lev 92 andgot all 4stone thanks to your great build
Commenting for the algorithm. Even though this build doesn't interest me much I'm always impressed with the builds you create.
appreciate that :)
Started a league with this build, now I'm level 90, collected key items and killed Ether and Exarch, it's long but easy, I just stood still and beat them lol. mapping is fun, but putting totems on every yellow monster is just annoying. I don't see how to improve build, the numbers in pob are good, but in game you have much less damage
there are plenty of things that you can do for greatly improving your damage on rares while mapping :
- vaal ancestral warchief : gives a bigger damage boost than the regular one and can move with you so you don't have to place it as often
- get phasing (on kill via abyss jewel or preferably a quartz flask ) and move in between each attacks, this way you drag tanky rares along and make the most out of your melee splash and ancestral cry exertions.
- Berserk is a huge damage boost and with warlord's mark cwdt you get a lot of rage generation so it's fairly consistent.
- the totem mastery for lingering totem effect is really nice, it makes totems buffs much more consistent and powerful thanks to panopticon (it's a must have in my opinion, especially when you get in the end game, the totems tend to die a lot)
- shrine nodes with domination craft feel absolutely fantastic, these acceleration shrines make you fly through the map, they also add quite a lot of mobs (and its relatively cheap at 3c )
There's probably plenty more tips but this is what i can think of rn. Have fun !
Have you planned going crit at some point? brittle boots, drop precise technique, etc
Enjoying it so far, but attack speed isn't really all there yet, even with Tanu Ahi. Not killing myself with Trauma though, so that's good. Haven't had problems with maps up to tier 8 so far, only some of the tanky essences take a while. Level 82 at the moment. Spent 2-3 div on it so far, mostly heatshiver, stygian vise, and a 6-link chest for 65c.
Also I feel like the Lioneye's shield that gives a ton of life and armour is really great to start mapping with, for only 1-2c.
early attack speed is solved with 3* attack speed jewel =)
Any spark update with the new projectile speed tatues?
+1 algorithm amazing build maker love your content!
how do I mitigate the trauma stack damage? I reach around 20 or so and then my life just implodes.
Definitely gonna try out this build!
How's Slayer for this build vs Jugg pros/cons? Since Carn managed a Slayer Bonzone well.
I think jugg is just better end-game, but slayer would have more damage early.
currently a lv84 Jugg using this build and it feels great, but one thing that I struggle with is that since glacial hammer deal no physical damage but cold damage, the one skill point of attack damage leech always make me feels like I cant substain with the 20 or more stacks of trauma. Is there anyway we can solve this?
You could try cold leech on delve ring.
you can take vitality void wheel if you need and recoup mastery - but leech should be capped with just the .4% i think?
trauma stacks is more about phys mitigation than it is about leech
How do you have fortify on without the fortify nodes ?
what do you use as the 6th gem in your link? in the POB i just see 5
Trauma support, POB doesn't currently support it, check config, it's added there manually for 30 stacks.
@@cindermoth3421 oh of course, the thing I've been using 🤣
are you doing this for affliction as well ?
I am playing PF Poison at the moment, I made an update on this character pre-league though, I think berserker is better now.
I can't use all auras, and i have the passive node + 3% mana reservation on jewel, am i missing something ? (precision is using life)
make sure you take the 8% node behind champion of the cause
How do you sustain 30 trauma stacks, when I reach that amount I die pretty quick, only have 28000 armor, 4 endurance charges, fortify and arctic armor
Phys mitigation and recovery.
Physical damage reduction suffixes on body armor and shield help a lot. A source of phys taken as ele can be nice (taste of hate is huge if you can afford it), not too much if you want to take full benefit from Untiring.
You need at least 2000 armor on your body armor i would say (spamming dense fossils on a glorious plate works really well), this way you should get around 40k unbuff and 60k with flasks (granite + %armor suffix). This is quite important especially for improving your molten shell.
You can get some really nice phys mitigation via the pantheon (soul of lunaris/solaris ) or the minor one that gives phys mit and regen when you stand still (tukohama i think...)
For recovery :
Life recoup is really nice, you can get it on rings or via the leech mastery.
Some life regeneration rate on boots could help.
Side note: Because of how much we hurt ourselves, things that reduce our recovery or mechanics that increase our damage taken are absolutely devastating.
curse and shock effect reduction are very important. Avoid less recovery mod like hell.
It looks slow does get crazy later?
You can corrupt a Frostbreath and get %chance to fortify on hit. Since it's a relatively common drop, it should be cheap on trade and achievable on SSF.
ya good point for sure
So far ive had a decent time starting this, currently level 84 finishing up yellow maps. Dont have heatshiver yet and only spent about 30c on the build, 25c of that for a 6L. The campaign was really slow, but it started getting better once I got to maps. Damage & speed could be better but its enough for now.
the issue of shocks not landing at large amounts on bosses/pinnacles is a problem and I don't really know how to solve it :/
ailment affect seems to be the only way (ash, frost, storm annoint ect)
this build is lit, dropped a frostbreath from kitava so I'm about to pop off
Nice video Mr Goratha
I am running this build, but I have issue wich I dunno how to deal with. I am getting killed by lifetap support on cwdt link. Replace it is not solution because possible mana issues.
you're dying to trauma stacks, need more phys mitigation (arctic armor, armor, pdr, phys taken as ele, leech recoup mastery)
@@Gorathathanks for help. Bought high armour body, took determination aura and now I can hold it with ease .
why is there a overwatch logo at the top left and what does it do
that is trinity support, it gives % more dmg and pen when you have it up (works when you get heatshiver on)
Hey does anyone have a good loot filter for this build ?? i dont get it show me the good stuff
Glacial hammer felt too slow for me in the early game and mobs ran away from under my attack animation, so I switched to frost blades. Feels great and I think it has better clear even in maps, though the dmg ends up being a bit lower. Had to grab the second frost mastery for the 40% phys to cold. Also I don't have heatshiver yet, so not sure if I will freeze enough on bosses to get the full fire damage.
strike range helps with that (from tattoos) but frost blades is good too - heatshiver is more consistent on glacial hammer is the big thing
@@Gorathafrostblades is very consistent with HS. 3d invested and 13m damage. High end of about 180m. Incredibly fast as well
I'm struggling to get cold resonance for trinity
From my understanding of how trinity works. Are we only gaining cold resonance when we freeze an enemy? Since then we deal a hefty amount of fire due to heatshiver
yes, you only get trinity with heatshiver, though you should always be freezing
freezes get discarded at low duration, which I suspect is the problem
I'm having the same issue. I just switched to Glacial Hammer. I have Heatshiver and Tasalio's Sign. I've tried all combinations of the various Heralds.
@@spelling_ax get a flask with increased chance to freeze. Think there was something else that helped but I won't know until later
is it better than boneshatter?
It feels a bit safer since you can freeze most monsters/bosses. It does lose on clear speed vs boneshatter as you can not just shatter the entire screen. Not 100% sure if it can be fixed with melee strike range tattoos or some clusters.
You are great! Thx!
very good build. follow your build. more video expect.
Hopefully ggg sees this and tries to implement some improvments
Every time I start templar and wonder wtf is that skill.
Based on gameplay it doesn't look any better later
Im using slayer for this build, im 60 and with frostbreath has been really smooth.
How dead is this build in 3.23? Give it to me straight, I wanted to start it so bad.
Why would it be dead?
@@hekkoki No more alt quality gems = no more divergent trauma support = no extra attack speed from stacks = feels bad man. Same goes for the alt qual ancestral totems etc..
can this farm uber uber lab?
should be able to, i don't see why not
Frozen legions will work good on it
can you test infernal blow axe atziry new suporte trauma togeter and loot of speed?????
Neat
Il est super plaisant de le jouer
All of my friends hate this league because you baited them into playing this build :)
10/10 build
(is yoke)
Started with this build but switching to the another already
Pure melee, got a lot of one shoots when achieved red maps. Also 0 chance to kill strong essence adds, just 1 shot too
Dps looks not bad - but not more
League started with this, even with heatshiver, yoke and 6-link it’s got no damage after 10t map
yeah same, I don't know how to scale damage to progress on red maps
How? I have a 5 link and no yoke, pushing to t16 easily, exarch death
@@powhit1176 whats your @ in game? ill check on poe ninja
You are doing something horribly wrong
Get atk speed and defence, don’t ever use multistrike
you learn what??? you take fire damage when you use ice skill
Wait a minute, you are being one shoted and you say that the build is not a bait?
If you play the game you know one-shots happen regardless of build.
it's just the league mechanic being overtuned, im playing HC, the rest of the game does no dmg to this character (other than ele dots)
How do you get endurance charges?
Inexorable passive
