  • Love THE LOST BOYS? Love costumes and props? Perfect! Join me as I kick off a four part DIY series on creating your very own The Lost Boys Marko Jacket! In the first part of the series, we take a look at the base jacket used for the original prop jacket and the modifications you need to do to get it ready. With help from the knowledgeable members of therpf, go on a journey with me to put together one of my favorite (if not my favorite) vampire props!
STAY TUNED! In PART 2, we'll take a look at the tapestries needed to complete the jacket.
Got any extra vintage patches for the jacket you want to trade for an original vintage collar piece? Comment below!
HUGE, HUGE thank you to the folks over on the Marko thread on therpf. They've been incredibly helpful and I wouldn't have learned any of this without them. Take a look at the wealth of information on this crazy cool prop on the massive thread dedicated to Marko's jacket and learn things you never knew over on therpf: www.therpf.com...

Hey man, just started watching your video and thought I’d let you know that Sean Clark has all 3 screen used Jackets from Lost Boys. He has several videos on them if you want a closer look at the version used in the film!

Yeah I've been using his videos for reference on placement of the tapestries and patches, it's definitely helpful! Hopefully one day he does a deep dive on that jacket, would love to see how the costumers put it together, you don't get to see much of the inside.

the collar is one of my favorite parts. the fraying added to the jacket really tops everything off

Yeah same here! I spent yesterday adding the skull on the front collar with the red patch of cape so I'm going to cover that in my next video :)
