Hey sweets, and yes, your fears are completely valid and common. Failing is and was a big one. I am still terrified, but then again, I am only 6 months out, still plenty of room to completely fail. This is one of the many risks you take when you have the surgery. Just keep in mind all the things you have done in life that you could have failed, that you did anyways. You can either try and succeed, try and fail, or never try at all, in the end at least you will be satisfied that you tried. Also, one of the best things you can do to prepare for this surgery or for after care is to seek council and psychological help. It is a very transformative surgery, both physically and emotionally, and support is essential, especially when your hormones start to get the better of you, haha! Best of luck sweets.

Thank you!!! It is true I won't know until I try. I have already spoke to my doctor about speaking to someone and my centre has social workers available. Thank you for the encouragement!!!

I have all of those fears too. I'm sorry I can't be a source of comfort, being so far out from surgery myself, but just know you aren't the only one having those thoughts.
