I definitely agree. When Dan Hurley even got announced it didn’t make sense to me that a coach coming off a back 2 back was all of a sudden going to leave and just go coach the Lakers. His job security was way too good in Uconn for that. JJ was clearly the first choice and you can tell since they have other coaches with multiple years of experience looking for jobs and JJ Reddick with no experience whatsoever is coming back for another interview.

I view Reddick like I did Steve Kerr. He's a savant in his own right, and will make one heck of a Coach. Kerr didn't need years to develop into a winning Coach and the biggest thing hold Reddick back will be the Lakers GM. Does he run the group back, or go make a couple of moves that really bring the Lakers a step closer to a real title. The GM is where they failed last year, along with Hams struggles working the clock.

There is a myth around "Give time to the coach". Big Teams/Franchises like Realmadrid, Lakers, Bayern, Man Utd dont just give the manager time. You earn it by winning at a high rate (Popovich, Klopp, Chiefs HC or Steve Kerr).
But i also get the other side of the coin. If the organization has been free falling for years, it'd be best to change the way of thinking.
