I’m 54 from Pennsylvania… i/we snowmobiled for years. When i was young (in my 20’s) we all prayed for deep snow, sometimes we got it, sometimes not. Just as enthusiastic about snow as you are. LOVED it!… however now-a-days.. i could live without it. I’m gettin’ old.. cant do that anymore, it literally hurts. .. stay young for as long as possible my friend. 🥰 one day, things will change.

I worked in a service where We had to get there.... peoples lives depended on it... We used to run the vehicle in defrost mode with the heat up to high and the fan high as well.... We would open the drivers or passengers window to keep the temperature livable for us while we were driving to the scene.... it always worked and we never had our windshields ice over....

You should use tube socks on the wipers and leave them off the windshield, it helps keep the wipers from freezing up especially freeze on the windshield
In this case, adding appropriate table salt to glass water can help melt snow.

I don't know how you can stand and not see out a window but that's you, But summer gets very different so if you just do what you love doing. And what you feel like doing you know what I'm pretty sure? Most of us are gonna enjoy it. OF BALANCE! I gotta tell that National Padre Island is the LAST AND ONLY NATIONAL SEASHORE where we can still actually drive on; free camping, campfires, drive right all over the beach-- so many wild places, human free; camp and park right near the saltwater- just be wary of the tide! And it's
sunsets here, not sun rises. Also very hot and humid; coming in the off months may be better as in our non existing winter months. LOL

Hi Everest, I loved this video! I always feel a little sad when I realize we’re possibly having our last snow storm here in northern Vermont. I’m wondering if you register with the forest service before departing for these awesome snow adventures? I’d feel so much better if when you parked your van you’d tie a tall stick to the top of the van with a red handkerchief attached so the plow guy doesn’t mistake your van for a big rock and cover you over😊😊😊
The places I park in are specifically designed for overnight/snowmobile staging.
You and your van make being out in winter snow storms feel so warm and cozy .

Hi Everest, maybe you should back your van in put then put chain’s on . That may help out . I love the snow but not the ice don’t care for it. Be careful out their make sure you have emergency equipment in case . Never skied before at all.Explore it all camping , fishing , hiking, road trips.
Def a mixture of both,i would miss the van life.

Hey. I’m from Northern Alberta Canada and I would suggest you get ice mode wipers. They are sealed so the ice can’t build up as bad. It still can get ice accumulating but not near as bad.

Carry a spray bottle with half water and half 90percent alcohol. Spray on icy windshield. The I e will melt right off. To prevent ice from sticking. Rub your windows with car wax. Rain beads off and nothing sticks

Hi Everest. Love your videos. I am curious about the bathroom. Is it just an outhouse or a real bathroom? If it is a real bathroom, I would think the pipes would freeze. Also, I noticed the opening was shoved out. Is that usually the case because they are well maintained? Or other outdoor users shovel out the openings? Also happy to see you are remembering to put on the chains the night before. Lol. Stay safe.
The area is for snowmobile staging. The bathroom is a forest service pit toilet- basically just a port o potty. Usually the forest service shovels it, sometimes visitors do too.
I was eating a late dinner and I had pasta and meatballs and then this popped up. Funny how that happened.
My niece lives by Donner pass. Are you up by there? I live in Massachusetts I have no idea. I'm trying to get a small RV that is winter ready to go to her area.
I quite a few van life RUclipsrs. Out of all of them you have my favorite van is that thing had bathroom it would be better than a house. I think maybe those are more important to women. You're also just the nicest kid.

If I were there I’d like to stay and enjoy the beauty of the snow. But I live in N Georgia and we get very little snow and I’m 73, so I wouldn’t be going to ski. I hope you had fun.

To answer your question, I prefer a variety vlogger. If you want to camp, camp. If you want to hike, hike. If you want to cook something, do it. But mixing and matching could do you well because anything in excess can get stale fast. This is your adventure, we're just along for the ride. Take care and be safe Everest.

Bear Valley was where I camped, but I skied in Tahoe. Palisades is my favorite in California.
