There’s lots to consider.
Is being puppy kicker even bad? Ever seen a puppy? They're easy to kick. Is it horrible? If I had soul in the first place. So being called a puppy kicker is a praise for me. This survivor rule doesn't apply to me as it intended to be.

I am a survivor main and I know that teabagging and clicking is toxic. But when the killer was nice I like teabag but only once as like a “thank you”. Like when you say thank you to your teammates after healing you. Do people get that I mean that in a nice way?
I am a killer main and in my opinion (I can only speak for myself) it does depend on the way you play (and oc your comment in the EG chat). If you just play normally (no clicky, teabagging after every pallet and emotes) I would not see any ill intent of teabagging at the gate and if you are also saying gg in the chat I know that you had fun playing against me and that you are a good sport. I know that everyone can see this otherwise and therefore I can only speak for myself. But in my opinion just play how you want because you are playing for your own fun so don't let the opinions of others affect you.
I tend to head nod to be safe if I want to signal a thank you. (Or drop my item if I have one) I always assume the crouching/tbagging towards a killer is intended to be toxic though. But that’s just me. I think opinions vary on this so it’s a hard topic…. and I know based on what others say that I clearly misread the situation sometimes lol
I mean teabagging at the gate when you leave for a second seems to me like you had fun but I've had players teabag at the gate almost until the egc timer was up and that seems a bit like a negative thing
Funny thing is.... I'm pretty sure most of this is exactly what the "offical" rule book would look like.... and is I big reason I'll gleefully use both Lightborn and Franklin's on Doctor just out of spite. What better way to inconvenience a bully SWF then by equipping a killer that has the ability to destroy stealth plays with perks that will take away the abilities a SWF can use to screw with a killer? Sometimes it isn't about winning or losing. Sometimes it's about sending a message. ;p
sometimes these still feel accurate I was in a swf on ps4 (i"m a killer main i usually only play surv in a swf) and I did something dumb around the hook immediately after he was hooked and got hit and said friend said he was camping, and the same friend when bhvr nerf/buff things immediately goes to "because whiny killer mains were whining"
I remember one time I was playing doctor and I camped someone to death because when I did the really big zap that gets anyone in the terror radius I saw that all of the other survivors had swarmed the hook. So I stayed there and waited for them to leave. They did not. One of them eventually left and started working on gens but the other two kept trying to get the unhook. They couldn’t and wouldn’t leave so I camped them until they died. This survivor proceeded to message me and I responded after the match. I told them why I camped and they got more upset. They kept messaging me for an entire hour. It was a little annoying but also funny.
Stream sniping is such a hypocritical thing to accuse someone of. “How dare you abuse video feed to gain an unfair intel advantage over me” Said the survivors who are abusing comms to get an unfair intel advantage over him.
Using comms ≠ abusing them. Streamsniping is more similar to using old Object of Obsession, being able to know where the opponent is at all times. Survivors can only give eachother vague intel, as opposed to streamsnipers.
@@hoarder1975 it’s literally the same. Your using unintended third party software to gain information you can’t naturally obtain. There is no difference
As a killer main, I have my own mini-rulebook that I usually follow just so I'm not horrible to play against (but still get to have fun and not get stomped), and even I sometime break its rules by accident. Examples of rules: - Don't run NOED, it's just not really a fun perk - Try not to camp unless it's endgame - If someone DCs, give someone else hatch if they don't struggle I also had a match where I got 2 kills and was about to get a third, but noticed there was a masquerade invitation next to the hook, so I let her wiggle out and escape. Both the remaining survivors gave me their items at the exit gates. Specifically in the context of that match - sometimes, being nice to someone, even in a small way, can make them remember that the other side isn't a cold-hearted killer, just another person trying to have fun in a video game. And if I got my invitation from that match, why shouldn't she? I do my best to not be toxic, and I hope that there are other killers who try to be nice to survivors as long as it doesn't take away from their own fun.
@@flasher6597 I was saying that is how I play the game. Nothing in there was saying that I want to force people to play the way I do. So go ahead, and have fun. I know I do when I play DBD.

One tiny rule you missed. You are not allowed to play ANY Killer that ANY Survivor finds unfair or unfun to play against in ANY way. This may include but is not limited to Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, Huntress, Doctor, Hag, Micheal Myers, Leatherface, Freddy, Pig, Clown, Spirit, Legion, Plague, Ghostface, Demogorgon, Oni, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Blight, Twins, Trickster, Nemesis, Pinhead, Artist, and Sadako. This rule also includes any and all future Killers released into the game.
As a killer main I respect some of this rules. I dont run slow down (actually I only run 3 perks on blight) I always give hatch IF that surv didnt have dh I never tunnel On the other hand, since I respect some of this I belive in some of the killer rulebook, survs running dh or using ds and trying to get downed is two of the worst thing they can do
These are the rules I play by: Don’t go after the same survivor you just hooked or downed. If I’m chasing a survivor and they go for hook save, I let them and follow 1st rule as normal. Hooking a survivor means I have to go to the other side of the map. If I need to reload and there is a locker next to the hook, I’ll reload before I head off. Last survivor gets hatch. Pretty easy to follow and I haven’t got any problems back from it. In terms of streamers, ye I’ll go to see if they streaming at the end of the match, I want feedback and most of the ppl I play are on consoles so can’t endgame chat with them. I’m a huntress btw
1 Gen was remaining I got only one hook So I decided to camp the next survivor I hook (I secured 2 kills out of that) Post game one of the survivors called me noob And said I should be a man and not camp(Note:all survivors had flashlight and most of them had DS DH BT)
yup the good old iroworks window that was in the game forever further affirming that the devs were oblivious to high level play. you couldnt even bloodlust that loop against a competent survivor. decisive strike dribbles. borrowed time lasting double the current time for both the hooker and unhooker. certain spots on maps where you literally couldnt get a survivor to the hook like Lerys you could crawl to the alley next to the exit gate and wiggle off every time because you werent guaranteed a hook by the door and survivors abused it. dc'ing during a mori or hook animation and bug the killer for the rest of the match. when hooks were static and didnt swivel so killers would stand there and block the unhook. spawning the term 'facecamp' which people still use today incorrectly
Whenever people bitch about the current state of DBD, I like to remind them of just how far the game has come when it evolved from all this shit. Is it perfect these days? Hell no. But it’s a million times better than before. Being unable to unhook from anywhere but the front was so aggravating.
If I am playing Killer I will try not to tunnel but if you are trying to take a hit with BT, the perk meant to be used as an antitunneling perk, you have just forfeited your anti-tunneling rights.
Once I was playing killer and the players accused me of tunnelling (I literally had everyone 2 hooked except one person) so I just said “if I was really tunnelling why did you guys only manage 2 gens” and they shut up Completely
If you use any of the following Killers: Trapper. Wraith. Billy. Nurse. Hag. Myers. Legion. Demogorgon. Leatherface. Freddy. Dredge. Pig. Clown. Doctor. Huntress. Pinhead Larry. Onryo. Trickster. Artist. Cowboy. Pyramidhead. Nemesis. Blight. Twins. Oni. Spirit. Plague. Ghostface. Or any others: Your Toxic and will be banned. Thank you, have a nice day
I know there are toxic killers but for the life of me i run into MANY more toxic survivors almost 1 every match and sometimes even 3 or 4 what's with that
Your more likely to run into a toxic survivor, just because there are more killer players. But toxic killers have way more potential to abuse the game.
I only really support two rules in the rule book No tunneling No camping no matter what reason not even i do it as killer even when im getting absolutely SLAPPED
Camping i could agree but tunneling? I mean if you find an easy prey wouldn't you wanna get them oit of the game fast or a really "good" survivor that become a bother
I almost forgot about the primordial rule of this "survivor rulebook" if a survivor baits you into chasing, then you MUST engage for the entire match and ignore everything else that goes on in the map. This includes, totems, generators dropped pallets, breakable walls, window vaults, infinite loops, T and L walls, basement, and other survivors.
Tbf nurse and spirit have no counterplay if the killers are good. Nurse literally has 0 counterplay and spirit has so little counterplay (except iron will) that it basically is 0
I'm a Killer Main, and I have never used NoED. I didn't even know it was something in the game until I learned of its reputation. Also, when I play as Surv, I rarely see NoED, because I rarely live long enough to see the endgame, haha. Just thought I'd add my experience.
That’s why I don’t generally enjoy Pig. Her power is pretty fun, but people seem to think “Pig = farming” and I’m just not down with that. Lots of wholesome Piggies, but some just want to play the game.
I recall playing ghostface few days ago and I played a fair game in my opinion. Sure, I used light born but it's a perk (But seeing the perks post game that survivors brang. Bringing lightborn was fair IMO) . I didn't camp or tunnel or slug at all. Yet I saw a survivor stream called me a "Fat prick".. (I don't stream so there is no way of seeing me and I'm not fat lol) all because I downed her and kicked the gen she was working on. Then I got called another colorful insult because I hooked her and one of her SWFs said I brought a moldy oak offering and then I was apprently a POS because I dared marked someone as Ghostie and use Ghostface power. So you can't down survivors, kick gens, hook them, bring oak offerings and use Killers powers You can't really do anything as killer. But yet.... Its only killer mains who are whiny apprently. 🤦 Some survivor mains really do want a free win.
Another rule I've recently learned: "don't use wraith iridescent add on that let's him see gen progression and let's him efficiently track survivors and protect the last gen and don't use wraith abilities while blindness is active, because that's griffing apparently "
I can see the hag, and the others being a difficulty, but how is doctor not forbidden, considering I find him to be very powerful, especially when I play him
It’s very weird that people play a game that’s about trying not to be killed by a psychopath, then get upset if the person acts a little rude in their estimation.
I play both roles, and i have my own rulebook i respect. Im happy with others do that too, but i never tried to force it: 1. Never camp. 2. Never tunnel. (yes, including endgame) 3. Always wait untill survivor finish interacting with a glyph. 4. Don't use BNP. 5. Do not try to bully. 6. Always try to say "gg" in endgame chat
Killer specific rule #69 - Cenobite: when a survivor uses the lament configuration, you MUST teleport to him, even if you have cornered another survivor and about to land a juicy hit. Remember, the box is there to work against cenobite and fully control him and help survivors, do that or meet the toxic "you must commit" comments in chat
I almost always go into the stream to say hi before the match. They’re almost always chill, but sometimes if I’m using Lethal Pursuer they can get a bit suspicious of me
The camping thing was especially funny to me because like yesterday in a game, after basically going to the other side of the map after hooking people, I still got called a face camping bitch
with rule #14, ironically survivors get the most bloodpoints farmed just by playing normally, as in rescuing each other off of hooks, so why wouldn't i just play normally and hook them, while trying to remember who's on death hook?
Here's one that's common among newer players: If you just hooked a survivor and you decide to kick a gen, break a pallet, reload at a locker etc in the area, YOU ARE CAMPING. NO EXCEPTIONS.
"Never teabag as Ghostface" "Never use your killer power, that's toxic" (seen this in many many salty survivor videos, especially when it comes to chainsaws)
Ever since healing meta was introduced we need a killer rule book cuz m1 killer, hit and run is no more valid which takes most killers who are not super speedy, teleport or are the plague out of the game. Before you started a game and after a minute your ruin was gone. Now after a minute you hear 3 boon totems go off and feel yet again like DCing. Survivor base game is to hold m1 for a minute and 50, literally everything else is up to the killer. I mean. At least it is not as toxic anymore as when i started. Back then i mained the Doc. You have forgotten the rule: "If a survivor is unhooked, then you hook the other three survivors, and after that you hook the unhooked survivor again, you are definitely tunneling"
Yesterday i was playing as twins and these two survivors kept trying to blind me and tea bag at the exit gate, but then the timer went down and killed them both, it was incredible lol
I'm a survivor main... but I generally don't linger once the doors are open, unless there something to do like unhooking somebody. I hate idiots who lurk in the doors, your either being useless, being obnoxious or both.
I always root for the killer in those situations.
@@goawayleavemealone2880 I have nothing against survivors who don’t act like assholes, my thing is survivors only do that cuz they know they can get away with it, it’s essentially kicking a dead dog just to do it, and honestly i think it should be bannable to a degree, cuz ur essentially holding the killer hostage just to harass them, i play very fairly for the most part when i play killer, the only times i don’t are when survivors act like assholes during the game, if i really wanted to I could’ve camped and tunneled them out of the game but I didn’t, then i get tea bagged cuz i lost, so how fair is that u know
@@majrgaming2633 - I feel the holding hostage thing, I always play with 1 specific person. They're my best friend and I don't often see them in real life... I really hate it when I die and then the killer decides to stay farming
@@goawayleavemealone2880 I’ve never tried to farm once when i play, id rather just play well to get the points, hopefully with the reduced grind coming that’ll mean less farming, idk what u play on but on Xbox or PS u and ur friend can party up and talk even if one dies, idk if PC has any similar thing
Here is my killer rule book.
Rule 1: I don’t care what you say I play for my fun so go cry about it.
You’ve forgotten a rule. If you happen to mori a survivor by any means, whether it be an offering, Rancor, Devour Hope, Final Judgement or Inexorable Stare, you are basically a horrible puppy kicker.
Jokes aside, I find it VERY important to think of context from either side’s actions when they do the things they do. Maybe they bring NOED because it’s the only worthwhile perk they have, maybe they couldn’t down anyone aside from the fresh unhook because the rescuer decided to hide and not take a hit, maybe a survivor is hiding/looping near a hooked survivor and won’t leave.
There’s lots to consider.
Is being puppy kicker even bad? Ever seen a puppy? They're easy to kick. Is it horrible? If I had soul in the first place.
So being called a puppy kicker is a praise for me. This survivor rule doesn't apply to me as it intended to be.
This reminds me of the time I was playing trapper and got this gem : " Yeah! Vergin killer, of course you get 4 k after trapping the entire map."
Don't use your power is a rule I guess
Using your powers? That’s kinda toxic, duder 😂
I don't know what you were thinking placing traps man
Wow imagine using your power. Such a scumbag
I think opinions vary on this so it’s a hard topic…. and I know based on what others say that I clearly misread the situation sometimes lol
there are definitely friendly teabags, they're just situational
It's really specific. If you're on good terms with the killer, then they will see it as kindness. If not, then they'll probably see it as toxicity.
Sometimes it's about sending a message. ;p
a rulebook by a survivor who's Definitely not toxic, sweaty, salty.
How those ones after 21 just went from 1 to 10 real quick made me laugh on Herman Carter levels.
You must always leave the hook even if you clearly see a survivor right next to a hooked survivor
sometimes these still feel accurate I was in a swf on ps4 (i"m a killer main i usually only play surv in a swf) and I did something dumb around the hook immediately after he was hooked and got hit and said friend said he was camping, and the same friend when bhvr nerf/buff things immediately goes to "because whiny killer mains were whining"
It's ironic because it the opposite, survivor sided, and survivors are notorious for whining under the same context
Aw man, I havent laughed so hard in my life, as a killer main its just hillarious
"As determined by survivors" got a chuckle out of me
I remember one time I was playing doctor and I camped someone to death because when I did the really big zap that gets anyone in the terror radius I saw that all of the other survivors had swarmed the hook.
I follow rule 34, I always type '
Its sounds toxic, mostly because toxic bimbos have used it in arguments. A simple gg is respected by all.
@@KakuOlen Well my '
Stream sniping is such a hypocritical thing to accuse someone of.
“How dare you abuse video feed to gain an unfair intel advantage over me”
Said the survivors who are abusing comms to get an unfair intel advantage over him.
@@spencerbowden2979 huge difference you are either trolling or playing stupid by pretending they’re the same lol
The sad truth? There are people out there who genuinely think these things.
As a killer main, I have my own mini-rulebook that I usually follow just so I'm not horrible to play against (but still get to have fun and not get stomped), and even I sometime break its rules by accident. Examples of rules:
- Don't run NOED, it's just not really a fun perk
- Try not to camp unless it's endgame
- If someone DCs, give someone else hatch if they don't struggle
I also had a match where I got 2 kills and was about to get a third, but noticed there was a masquerade invitation next to the hook, so I let her wiggle out and escape.
I'll play the game how I want too play It. Thanks.
@@flasher6597 I was saying that is how I play the game. Nothing in there was saying that I want to force people to play the way I do. So go ahead, and have fun. I know I do when I play DBD.
I always love getting accused of camping because I decided to smack the person going in for a save despite the fact I didn't even have time to leave the hook yet
0:39 that spin was clean af. Good plays bro XD
I was hyped to finally have a good play to put in the b-roll 😂
This is hilarious! I can't wait for the Killers Rulebook (cookbook)
I was showing this to some friends, and the second time through it I noticed that rule 20 and 21 are comedic GOLD just by being back to back.
The same for 22, 23 and 24
Das Food, you got talent. I REALLY can't wait for the killer cookb-
I mean rulebook.
I dont run slow down (actually I only run 3 perks on blight)
I always give hatch IF that surv didnt have dh
I never tunnel
On the other hand, since I respect some of this I belive in some of the killer rulebook, survs running dh or using ds and trying to get downed is two of the worst thing they can do
I broke every single rule as killer main
These are the rules I play by:
Don’t go after the same survivor you just hooked or downed.
Rule #43: Killers must M1 at a distance so Survivors can react with Dead Hard
Well, I guess I'm a toxic killer then, oh well imma just burn this book real quick...
I recently got shamed going for a 4k and slugging instead of letting a survivor find hatch while working for my Adept. What a bunch of hooey 😤
The survivor rule book is the necronomicon and the killer rule book is kronorium
yup the good old iroworks window that was in the game forever further affirming that the devs were oblivious to high level play. you couldnt even bloodlust that loop against a competent survivor.
decisive strike dribbles. borrowed time lasting double the current time for both the hooker and unhooker.
certain spots on maps where you literally couldnt get a survivor to the hook like Lerys you could crawl to the alley next to the exit gate and wiggle off every time because you werent guaranteed a hook by the door and survivors abused it.
dc'ing during a mori or hook animation and bug the killer for the rest of the match.
when hooks were static and didnt swivel so killers would stand there and block the unhook. spawning the term 'facecamp' which people still use today incorrectly
Once I was playing killer and the players accused me of tunnelling (I literally had everyone 2 hooked except one person) so I just said “if I was really tunnelling why did you guys only manage 2 gens” and they shut up
Completely
If you use any of the following Killers:
Trapper. Wraith. Billy. Nurse. Hag. Myers. Legion. Demogorgon. Leatherface. Freddy. Dredge. Pig. Clown. Doctor. Huntress. Pinhead Larry. Onryo. Trickster. Artist. Cowboy. Pyramidhead. Nemesis. Blight. Twins. Oni. Spirit. Plague. Ghostface.
Or any others:
Your Toxic and will be banned.
Rule 974: if you as a dredge teleport into a locker a survivor is in YOU HAVE to drop them because you just got lucky.
I only really support two rules in the rule book
No tunneling
No camping no matter what reason not even i do it as killer even when im getting absolutely SLAPPED
Camping i could agree but tunneling? I mean if you find an easy prey wouldn't you wanna get them oit of the game fast or a really "good" survivor that become a bother
Bubbas after geting summoned by the survivor council after camping: oh no
I almost forgot about the primordial rule of this "survivor rulebook" if a survivor baits you into chasing, then you MUST engage for the entire match and ignore everything else that goes on in the map. This includes, totems, generators dropped pallets, breakable walls, window vaults, infinite loops, T and L walls, basement, and other survivors.
NOED, Lightborn, Franklin's Demise, Starstruck ... RIP my fav build, I'm just lucky I wasn't banned before learning the rules
Tbf nurse and spirit have no counterplay if the killers are good. Nurse literally has 0 counterplay and spirit has so little counterplay (except iron will) that it basically is 0
Nurse has a weakness against flashlights, and Spirit has direction phasing audio
*Survivor slides over pallet towards the killer* *Gets downed* *survivor disconnects*
Me going on my way to break every rule in the Survivor rulebook:
Patrick Bateman walking with headphones meme
just play how you want, god almighty
"If a zombie were to block a Survivor's way, you are obligated to kill your own zombie to keep things fair."
Someone didn't read our rulebook- Jake Screw you rules trapper does what he wants-Trapper
I agree with not using NOED. I main killer and there are few perks I'd rather use less.
I'm a Killer Main, and I have never used NoED. I didn't even know it was something in the game until I learned of its reputation.
Also, when I play as Surv, I rarely see NoED, because I rarely live long enough to see the endgame, haha.
Just thought I'd add my experience.
Its reputation literally comes from this circus rulebook. Dont be a clown, use the best you've got for the win.
A man named Caleb once said, “No more rules! Come to think of it, I don’t have any rules! *snickers*”
sounds kinda petty on both parties.
It very much is.
Which is unfortunate because, personally, was legitimately looking for guidance on how to read actions in a game without chat.
You forgot to add that if you play pig, you have to respect the snoot boop and if the last player offers their item they get to live
That’s why I don’t generally enjoy Pig. Her power is pretty fun, but people seem to think “Pig = farming” and I’m just not down with that. Lots of wholesome Piggies, but some just want to play the game.
ok but fr tho, respect the 4% (as a survivor and killer main equally, I always respect the 4% man, clearly the entity is on their side)
So you can't down survivors, kick gens, hook them, bring oak offerings and use Killers powers
You can't really do anything as killer.
This is an amazing checklist of things to do during blood hunt
I can see the hag, and the others being a difficulty, but how is doctor not forbidden, considering I find him to be very powerful, especially when I play him
#43 The basement is a no-no zone, this is the last we shall speak of it.
It’s very weird that people play a game that’s about trying not to be killed by a psychopath, then get upset if the person acts a little rude in their estimation.
I play both roles, and i have my own rulebook i respect. Im happy with others do that too, but i never tried to force it:
1. Never camp.
2. Never tunnel. (yes, including endgame)
3. Always wait untill survivor finish interacting with a glyph.
4. Don't use BNP.
5. Do not try to bully.
6. Always try to say "gg" in endgame chat
Mostly agree but hitting on hook + nodding constantly is just as annoying as teabagging and flashlight clicking. Both are uncool in my book
„Never M1 when your killer has an M2“
Yeah my demo and nemi heavily disagree with save the best for last
the my dad work joke crack me up , thanks
Killer specific rule #69 - Cenobite: when a survivor uses the lament configuration, you MUST teleport to him, even if you have cornered another survivor and about to land a juicy hit. Remember, the box is there to work against cenobite and fully control him and help survivors, do that or meet the toxic "you must commit" comments in chat
Average survivor main mindset LOL
there is one killer you are allowed to play and only in a friendly way and thats Mr Demogorogn
I almost always go into the stream to say hi before the match. They’re almost always chill, but sometimes if I’m using Lethal Pursuer they can get a bit suspicious of me
The camping thing was especially funny to me because like yesterday in a game, after basically going to the other side of the map after hooking people, I still got called a face camping bitch
i’d 10x rather face a sweaty killer running the most op stuff than a brand new killer running franklins
Me watching this video so I can disobey every single rule of the, 'Survivor Rulebook' more accurately.
with rule #14, ironically survivors get the most bloodpoints farmed just by playing normally, as in rescuing each other off of hooks, so why wouldn't i just play normally and hook them, while trying to remember who's on death hook?
the 4% is not to be laugh at...
Bruh I looked up the survivor rule book like 15 minutes ago then you release this, get out of my head
Here's one that's common among newer players: If you just hooked a survivor and you decide to kick a gen, break a pallet, reload at a locker etc in the area, YOU ARE CAMPING. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The killer rule book is just more rules for killers to follow.
Ima use light born, noed, and franklins on my tombstone myers build
Besides camping or going after someone right after they got off the hook, I don’t think there should be any other rules
Well when I play killer I ignore the survivor rulebook completely. If you give a survivor an inch they take a mile. I learned this the hard way
honestly rule # 23 sounds like something i would say as a joke
Even though I'm mostly a killer main I'm also against NOED I hate that perk and when I see it in the bloodweeb I just ignore it
"Never teabag as Ghostface"
"Never use your killer power, that's toxic" (seen this in many many salty survivor videos, especially when it comes to chainsaws)
Thanks, I’ll be sure to completely disregard everything
If a survivor pre drops a pallet to create a safe loop and you break the pallet immediately then you are being toxic.
as an oni main when the rule mentioned never play O N I i thought "you do realize this means war..."
Remember when Impossible skill check Doc was a thing? Nowadays survivors are so good at skill checks it doesn't even do anything.
I love breaking the rules in the rule book.
