Well this turned out to be a jam-packed autumn adventure - a wild onsen, spectacular fall colours, a cooking attempt… AND an unexpected animal encounter at the end. Roy was ready to get out of that situation real fast 😂
Just wow! Like living in a dream and in a video game was exactly how I felt about being in japan and I can't wait to be able to visit it in autumn next time. Great and inspiring video!
Hi guys, this is a fantastic video! Autumn is my absolute favourite time of year for exactly the reasons you were showing, the colours were stunning, I’m not surprised everyone was stopping to film and and look at all the different areas. Getting wrapped up in a warm coat and scarf, etc and just going for a wander is great for the mind. The little cafe at the top looked like it had a nice atmosphere to it, great that you got to experience it when it was relatively quiet too. At this time of year I tend to make a lot of hearty soups/broths, some meat and veggies, random stock, herbs and spices and rice noodles which keeps for a good couple of days in the fridge and is always great after a walk or just when I’m feeling peckish 😊 I really do love that it seems to be easy to find an onsen whenever you fancy one too. Thank you for sharing this excellent video with everyone. Safe travels and best wishes to the both of you
Hello, hello! It's always lovely to see your comment come through 😊 Yup you described autumn perfectly and why we love it too haha. That's great advice about the soups. I think we just need to try our hand at a bunch of different broths and flavours and probably stock up on tupperware! Yes Japan has no shortage of onsen, which is perfect on a cold autumn or winter day. Hope things are going well over in the UK! Thanks for watching!
@@RoyandAimee hi guys thank you for great reply. Things here are going well thank you, mixed weather as always but I love getting out for a walk when it’s a bit less damp. Hope the experimenting with different broths, etc goes well too. It’s great seeing that the van is working really well for you too.
Hi, Beautiful! Japan in autumn is absolutely amazing. It is a real pleasure to follow you in the van through those incredible places. Thank you. Warm greeting.
Hello! Thanks for watching! 100% agree about autumn in Japan. It's easily my (Aimee) favourite season but I think somehow Roy would say his is summer in Japan 🤷🏼♀️😆
That was fantastic guys!🍃🍂 I will definitely recommend a Filipino comfort food during rainy days. It is called "Pancit Lomi". Originally, a Chinese dish but with Filipino twist. It is basically a thick egg noodle soup with egg, meat, and vegetable toppings. Would love to see both of you cooking that one in winter😄 Great job and more vlogs to come!🙌🏻
Thank you so much for watching and the lovely comment ☺️ It was October the 29th, and we were definitely feeling like we managed to catch the peak of the colors for the season!
That's a great time to come to Japan! It'll start getting quite cool in November but if you head to lower elevations, you'll still be able to see great autumn colours and stay a bit warmer.

Ooh that sounds fantastic and a perfect dish for cold days. Thanks for sharing! We will try out best 💪😅
Oden is great. However, daikon is hard. It usually takes 24 hours for the flavor to get into the daikon. Sausages are great in oden.
Ooh good to know about the daikon! We'll have to keep that in mind if we cook with it again 😅 Nice! Sausages sound like a great addition.
Hi. I'm hoping you can confirm what time during autumn was this video filmed? Thanks for the video!
Hello! It was filmed on October 29th. Thank you for watching!
Great Video! I Was wondering which Month that was? September or October? The colours are amazing!
Thank you so much for watching and the lovely comment ☺️

Great video. What month was this filmed?
Thank you for watching! This was filmed at the very end of October 😊
@@RoyandAimee Thanks!! Annie and I are coming mid October to mid November so trying to judge what the weather will be like.
