Gas has a video showing they twist the loop end of the cable to regain peak weight. I’ve started doing that on my yoked bows and it seems to hold weight better
If anybody is interested the difference in string angle is 5 degrees between the 2 bows at his set up. 29.5 is 71 degrees RS is 66 degrees. Significant.
Instead of twisting cables, twist the cable loops to get your DW back up to 80#. It does work!! Also, if using cable driven rest, you won't have to remove rest cable to twist the cable
That Lift RS is a little fire breathing dragon. I’m outside of the draw length but I am super happy for those that are. They can really gain some good equal numbers and have a broader range of arrows and components.
I love the sight, if you take into account that it comes with a light the price is comparable. But if you don’t ever use a light then you may want to look around.
Good to here form a 73 yr old! I will finish Mo bow season at 69. Jist had my rite shoulder rebuilt in July. Been a short season for me. But been doing this bohunt thing longer than I been a parent...can't give it up!
I have a RS on order. 60 at 28. I ordered standard limbs as I will bump up to 65 mods at times. I loved the V3 27’s I had. Currently running twin Mach 30’s set up identical. Love the EC2. The RS will be a fun bow.
Ordered the lift x @ 25"-65lbs. The 5ish fps was outweighed by the hopefully more stable platform. I have a 10 year old chill sdx with 12/10 stabs 3 oz/6oz front/rear b-stinger stabs. I'm hoping I can drop a few oz on the stabs and go with the fixed low pro quiver and lose a bit of weight on my setup for elk. Shooting axis 5mm @ 381 grn. Will look at new axis 5.0 around same weight (370-380) with way more foc. Also hope the lift x can get me about 15 fps more too
@@andrecancilla4901 I’m not hating, sure it’s a good sight but, for 90% of the market it’s stupidly priced especially with the prices and performance of their competition
Dan already knows that. LOL There is no way he doesn't know how to fix that issue, especially when his close friend is FMJJ. If I had to guess, he was just testing his viewing audience. Nevertheless, you are absolutely correct, and I sincerely hope someone reading the comments learned from your sharing of bowntuning 101.
@ 🤣😂 tbh the new limb shift technology and the speeds it’s producing. It’s too good not to. The drop for bowtech was so blah this year. I was close to grabbing the lift 29.5 last year. But my shop locally doesn’t really put in the effort to help with tuning and asking them to swap the top hats is like pulling teeth, and asking my buddy to help would feel like a burden. I just stuck with my Solution SD since it’s easy tune and shoots darts. Even though it shoots great. The draw cycle is rough and I really don’t practice with it until like 2 months out. Have guys at my club that shoot it, then believe it’s on performance when in comfort. These guys are drawing 72-80+ lbs, think it because their bows are much smoother even at a higher DW. Plus in bottomland it looks sick.
So I have GAS on two bows. One thing I had to do is put twists in the cable throats to get them back to ATA and weight specs for the bow. Was quite a bit of movement in the stretch of the strings. Haven’t got enough shots in the bow with the match strings to see what kind of movement is there.
These new Matthews are so tempting. But dang I have my bow press from MFJJ and I can tune my V3X 29 np. So hard to upgrade when what I have works so well. I love the 28 size RS with the limb adjustment. But the cost to change over is just not worth it.
You guys can take any sight bar and bow into CNC shop and they will cut out your bar to fit the mathews and bowtech center sights. Any sight besides carbon. That won't work
im 5 ft 2. currently using a phase four at 25.5 inch draw. the upper back and my draw shoulder get all wierd after alit of shots. the draw length is just too long for me but i pull the phase 4 at 75 pounds. ordered the lift RS at 24 inch draw and 8p pounds. will be nice to have a bow that fits. cant wait!
I personally just can’t get over the look of the lift. I went out to tryout the new Hoyt AX-2 29, PSE mach 30DS and the lift X 33. The lift was smoother than the other 2 the PSE looks better than both but the HOYT shot better than the PSE so I’m ordering the new HOYT. To me aesthetics play a huge factor in selecting the right one.
It definitely does, the top brands are so close now in performance that it's really just aesthetics, fanboyism and small things like easier tuning that make people swing 1 way or another
@ I have gas ghost on the 80 and match on the 70. I have twisted them back to peak weight multiple times. They are at the correct ata as well but they won’t keep their weight.
@@extremesam9 that’s weird, I’ve only got about 100 shots through my x 29.5 on 60 pounds, haven’t experienced any poundage change yet I’ll be curious to see if I have the same problem
no way I could get my peep where I like it my VXR 28 I cant get it any higher cause the serving but its where I want it. im 29 inch draw but my VXR is my fav hunting bow even over my newer Mathews bows..
I'm really surprised your not shooting the new Mach 33 and Mach 30 since you love to shoot long range. I've always been a mathews guy and bowtech guy but PSE got me with their speed and easy draw stability cycle. I can say past 75 yards I do shoot better with the PSE with the full draw brace height getting longer must work. I never thought I'd shoot a PSE but I feel they did build the best bow and it's lighter and not cold. The paint on the PSE is better than I've ever seen but I found out why. They are hand painted in the USA.
Dan, I’m a little guy just like you😂 5’6” tall. Curious what your wing span is middle finger to middle finger? You have 27” draw in Mathews correct? I must have long arms as I feel comfortable at about 28”.
Oh my fault I didn’t realize he never shot a title in this channel before also didn’t think they just made a “crossover”….also didn’t see the title on his wall right behind him

Looks like the RS is a good addition. However, UV can suck a D until they match products to realistic pricing!
Have you thought about running the back bar on the front stabilizer screw hole? I saw that’s how Chris bee was running his if you wanted a back bar!

Great video Dan. Love the process. I’m currently debating on the X and RS and this video helped a lot. Thanks!

That uv slider price is insane, you can mount just about any sight with an inline bridge lock mount, arguably some better sights that cost less.

Great comparison.. just what I was looking for. X seems more stable for sure. Tks
The 80 pound bow is pulling 75 because the strings broke in and lost poundage. Twist the cables up equally a few twist. Will bring poundage back up

As someone that’s 26 1/2 inch draw length, and wanted a bow that can go past 70 lbs DW. I guess I’ll have to switch from bowtech to Matthew’s.
And young skywalker is coerced to the dark side….

Run a back bar off of the front stab location on the RS and it will be more compareable.

Be nice to see a summary of all the data, draw weights, arrow stats, velocities, etc.
Last chance scales are pretty good but by just pulling with different pressure on a finger I’ve seen weight change by 5 pounds
I went with Hoyt in 2023 was wanting to get the new Hoyt in April but I can get a new Mathew’s and a integrated rest for that price of Hoyt
got to ask what do you do for a living to continue to hunt and shoot and review like you do. love how you geek out in the archery community
Dan what pocket quiver is that?
Awesome I love px10’s also because of you!

I don’t line the sight because you still can’t adjust the pin gap on the vertical. Which is super dumb

Mathew’s bows look way better then pse or Hoyt in my opinion. I don’t even own any of those but if you asked me I would say Mathew’s looks cooler
@Lexidezi225 Looks are all personal opinion. I'm shooting a Mathews rn but have always thought Hoyt made the best looking bows.
Dan, what quiver is on your hip? Thanks
Let’s get a long range update after you’ve shot the RS for a while and have the sight tape perfect!
Great video, keep hammering 🏹
Both my lifts are a few pounds short of their peak weight. I can’t keep them at 80 and 70 they settle at 77 and 66.
How many shots you got through them? Strings could be settling depending on brand
