- Short walk in the rain and set up the tent.
Then test my new Winnerwell Fastfold Titanium Stove
My equipment is quite heavy, altogether with water and food it's almost 30kg (66 lbs). But it does not matter, because I usually do not go further than about 5 km (3 miles).
I have a lot of luxury equipment that weighs a lot. But it's not the journey I like but the goal itself.
Want my little bubble of civilization in the wilderness.

This has to be one of the most peaceful videos on RUclips. So much said with no words. Thank you so much sir for sharing this relaxing moment with us. I don’t doubt atleast 5 people went and bought the Winnerwell Titanium Fastfold after watching this. Lol. Way cool man. Be nice to see more like this. Bless you.
Thank you 😀
relaxing
Rain camping shelter super 🏕️🏕️🌧️🌧️👌 👍😍 🥰
Great videos
Thanks :-)
Your location looks so much like mine here in connemara ireland, I have the same rocky bogland that's always wet here
Cool video! I have been looking at the Seek Outside stove. I like the flat top so this one is definitely an option for me also.
Thanks :-)
I also have a Seek Outside Large Titanium Stove, but i prefer the Winnerwell Fastfold...it is much easier to set up.
Good video👍
Thanks 🤘
Iove camping
Thanks for the video of the winner well stove in action, just a side note, where did you get the aluminum roll up piece under the stove, thanks
Thanks for the comment 😀
The piece under the stove is just a couple of disposable aluminium baking dish...have cut out the bottom and using aluminium tape to fix them together.
I wonder why it has no grate?
I have a new Winnerwell sitting in the floor and am wondering if I should fabricate a sleeve to go over the flue where it passes thru the tent to gain some dead air space for fire prevention?
If you have a fire resistant stove jack then I think it is ok. Mine is made from a welding blanket with heat resistant silicon.
But where the stove jack tutches the pipe the silicon seams to go bad after a while, so I need to add more. So a sleeve maybe will help with that...
Tip: lay some dry split logs down first and light the fire log on top of the wood. Will get more air under the log and make embers quick.
Thanks for the tip 👍
And thanks for watching 🙂
Thumbs up for the LGR video.
How many trips did it take you to get that whole camp in there? I see a whole big stack of fire wood.
Thanks for your comment 😀
Three, but it wasn't that far to walk.
Comfy Outback it looked like a fun camp out 👍🏼👍🏼
Yes fun and relaxing
Wow! Nice set up. Two questions; I like the above ground fire set up..is it home made or store bought and if so, what is the name of it? Also, are we to believe u hiked in 5 bags of woods into the forest??
It is just a 15 minute walk from my car so just hade to walk a couple of times with the wood.
I can't remember where I bought it, but is is like this one: www.amazon.com/InBlossoms-Portable-Outdoor-Collapsing-Fireplace/dp/B07BRML16F?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q
Love the stove - i wonder if it will warp after time - great video - thank for sharing -
Thanks for the comment :-)
I also have a Seekoutside titanium stove and it has warped a lot, but I haven't been careful with it so maybe it is my fault.
The Winnerwell stove feels much more stable, not as flimsy as the seekoutside.
My fastfold is warp free, i tried my best to destroy test it after 2 light burns to set both ends of the chimney flue, the thing is so light and thin yet is indestructible. You do get what you pay for. Pricey but reliable.
Great demo of the Fastfold, thank you. One question, wouldn't it be better to slide the chimney over the stove port on the stove, rather than inside of it? Then the band would hold the chimney tight to the port, sealing it all up better. Just a thought I had that maybe you can use.
Thanks again for the demo! Awesome setup! Cheers!
Thanks: -) It's an inner ring that looks like the chimney should be in. But maybe better as you say, will test it next time ... thanks for the suggestion.
@@ComfyOutback I don't own one, so go with what you know. It was just something that popped into my head as I was watching. Cheers!
It is designed to take the flue inside the stove top damper unit, the twin walls taper like a cone shape so when the flue is pushed in it is held in place, i used 10 inch from my chimney flue to make a external collar that reinforces the flue to damper set up. It works great and reassuring in heavy wind.
When a stove pipe is fitted over the pipe below it that is incorrect. When condensation builds within the pipe, black creosote will drip down and onto the wood stove top, creating smouldering oil that will then fill the inside of the tent with hazardous smoke. This is a major carbon monoxide concern. Stove pipe should always slide into the pipe below it to avoid catastrophe.
Thank you very much for the information 👍
How'd you like the stove? I've been considering getting one. Also how'd you like the tent? Did they work good as a combo?
The stove is really good (for a foldable). Very guick to setup. And it worked fine with my tent...I also have a seekoutside titanium stove, but the seekoutside one take much longer to set up.
Top video no talking no shit just mustard
Thanks :-)
I really need a good compact wood stove for my hot tent this winter. I live in western massachusetts and winter gets bad here ,but I love winter camping. Where can I get one at?.
Amazon has them, you can also just do a search for it on any camping/survival website. But if you know a welder and someone with the tools to do it, they are also DIY'S. A military ammo box is usually used. And theres videos on using catering bakeware. Just search for tiny diy wood stove.
The stove I use is this one: www.winnerwell.com/page119?_l=en&product_id=56
I just bought the Winnerwell Fast Fold, and I have two other Titanium hot tent stoves that I need to get rid of if you’re interested. I’m also from western Massachusetts !
Also which tarp are you using there? Seems to have good tie out options. Did you add the stove jack yourself?
To sew the tent I have used 3 DD Tarp XL.
Yes the stove jack i have also added.
@@ComfyOutback ok, I've got a DD 3x3 and 3.5x3.5 and have made a similar set up before but hadnt seen with so many tie out options or the stove jack so I had to ask! Fair play! They're decent mods
You seem to have brought everything else from home, where did you put the bathroom?
I have it upstairs in the tent
I've been really considering this stove but have heard a few people say the flue pipe perished too easily so I'm in two minds...
Thanks for your comment :-)
I have used it about 10 times and so far I have had no problems with the pipe.
But it is like all collapsible stoves, the metal warpes a bit.
What I like about this is how easy it is to fold...
Which tent is that please
The tent i have sewn my self from tarps.
@@ComfyOutback good job looks excellent
Hey man ,great video ,may I ask what tarp are you using ,looks very handy to have
Thanks :-)
The tent is made by 3 DD Tarp XL
Ok, this might be a dumb question. I just came across your channel this morning and watched a few of your videos ....the aluminum for under the stove, is that regular heavy duty aluminum with several sheets combined or is it a different heavy duty aluminum?
There is no dumb questions.
It is several aluminium oven molds (or what it is called)
Just cut out the bottom and taped with aluminium tape.
@@ComfyOutback thank you! I'm really researching diy for hot tent and the stove heater. I'm not finding any way for the stove that I'm able to afford and plus I really dont have anyone that I know of that has the tools and or soldering capability to do it. So, Lord willing, maybe some day. The aluminum is a great idea!
Great video. Thanks. I am interested in the above ground fire set up as well. Also, what were the products you used for your fire / heat reflector beneath the Fastfold stove. I am guessing your shelter is cotton canvas. Any product you can mention is helpful. Good luck on your channel. I look forward to seeing similar videos.
Thanks :-)
The above ground fire is a product like this: www.amazon.com/InBlossoms-Portable-Outdoor-Collapsing-Fireplace/dp/B07BRML16F?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q
The heat reflector is just a couple of aluminium baking dish that i cut and taped together with aluminum tape.
My shelter is made of polyester (DD Tarp 4x4) that i have sewn together.
The transparent plastic is Polycryo.
I just found your channel and subscribed. Great video. I love your shelter. One Tigre’s make one similar to yours I like the idea of the clear plastic down the front. You did a great job building it. And the idea of putting the pvc piping on your chair legs. Greetings from Ontario Canada
@@cliffordwright1603 Thanks 😁
Cool setup, love camping in the rain! Where was this camp area?
Thanks :-) yes it is nice to camp in the rain :-)
Did you add the stove jack?
Yes I have, have even stitched the whole tent :-)
Greetings! What's that burning in the foreground? Did you set the stool on fire?
Do you mean the folding fire pit?
Comfy Outback ,In front of the tent you have a burning woodpile on the construction with a metal grid!I take it you're trying to scare off mosquitoes ?
Yes it's for mosquitoes and just for fun. It is a fire pit like this: www.amazon.com/Rootless-Large-Portable-Outdoor-Fire/dp/B07D34J96Q
Du gör detta i min smak, perfekt! Måste bara fråga vilket tält är detta ? Mera vide
on :)
Tackar 😁 Tältet har jag sytt själv från några pressningar (tarp)
@@ComfyOutback Fint jobbat! Tack för svar :)
Cool set up, and nice remote location... good job 👍🏼 btw... did you carry all that wood in with you??
Thanks :-) The location is not that remote...just 15 minutes walk from the car.
Had to walk a couple of times to get the woods.
@@coombsadventures9256 :-) Everything except the firewood i can carry in and on my huge backpack
Looks like a realy nice setup. considering that stove aswell.
Moving arround the camera this much on the start of the video realy makes me nauseous. The shifting white balance does not help.
Thanks for your input
Trying to get better at filming...
I was expecting some rain sounds but didn't hear
It was not so heavy rain
how a single person can carry Alot of woods this is strange
Had to walk back to the car for the firewood
@@ComfyOutback oh I see 😋🌝
