Thank you for the videos. I am learning a lot following the step-by-step detailed explanations on your videos. A key important distinction is to guide the audience how and why things are setup, so that new starters can clearly understand and follow your expertise.
Great job, keep it up !
appreciate the time you spend creating them.
Very nice video!
One most important thing that why you have not change it to from a workgroup to domain as you selected to add this dc to existing domain and after that you provided admin credentials of this only dc
Hi can i know if i use app server and point connect to Rodc using ldap will this authentication will it work? also for the Rodc server whats the main purpose of it?
Thanks for this session. can you please make video for tree domain
I have a question... Suppose if my primary dc is offline.. then can rodc authenticate user logon requests??
Not for all but for those whose passwords are cached on RODC.
If I login via administrator in RODC, I can easily change the Policies, how to disable administrator user login to RODC
why the video about RODC installing in this playlist about CA?)
Thank you for pointing out. I have added to right playlist.
Pls make video on how to join a client pc of outside network to my local domain controller server pc Its a request to you
Not sure if you've figured out how to do this or not, but I'm just going to comment in case it helps someone else. You simply cannot join a domain unless you have connection with a Domain Controller.
The way most organizations get around this is by setting up a VPN service. Setting this up is something that would probably require a video entirely on its own. There are a ton of videos that explain it and there are a million ways to do it, but ultimately you need to have some networking knowledge to pull it off effectively.
The VPN server should be in a network that can communicate with the Domain Controller. This allows the user's computer to join the domain and also to authenticate in future log ins. This second part is a little tricky though, as most VPN connections run under a user session. You could use a local user to connect to the VPN and then sign in to the AD. Luckily, once you join the domain and log in once with an AD user, the credentials are stored in a local cache.
🙏🙏🙏
First of all plz dnt use such heavy names for DC's that is a big confusion when understanding it shld be simple second u have installed a server then you install ed a role adds and then you promoted the server to be a DC after that on this only DC you installed and config rodc and made this server a rodc But if in case there is a root DC and you want to add this Rodc to that root DC what will be the steps just to change IP setting and rest the same way
Please read your comment again and try to understand what you are saying. Watch the video completely without skipping, listen what I am saying. Understand the lab design what already I have setup and what I am going to do. Then you will have your answers.
too many steps were missing, dont follow this 10min video, theres a 15min video that has additional steps and works better.
okk
