i watched the show from start to finish.JM loved Soseno.. but it does not mean he didn't love Ye Soya..in d end wen JM married SSN it was all about politics & for the kingdom..SSN was his equal and he admires and respects her a lot.. he had a lot of memories with her.. these two were lovers but later became friends.. I think JM loved Soya, really loved her as his wife u can say whatever, out of guilt or pity but he loved her..
Love yesoya and jumong so much... Though soseono had a good heart she didn't just do it for me... Jumong got to love yesoya more and his son there was no more love to give her... The reason i kept watching the show was to see him reunite with his wife and son

For me so soeno is the instrument only for achiving His great mission cause i believe so soeno is a wise and bright woman in all aspects . so soeno only thinks everytime about business.although she sacrifice also to help jumong but its more political unlike Lady ye is deserving on Him in all aspects she sacrifice a lots with full love just to help His husband build a nation.even her life and son are in danger ..she deserves to be his only Queen...i can feel how deep is her love to jumong, especially during his wedding... She dont want to be burden in his mission thats why she cried and left the palace with tears.....we all know how much pain it is for her seeing her husband marrying another woman...
I never felt much passion between Soseno & Jumong. I think there was always a touch of mercenary thought & feeling involved in their romance for each other. I think that when he met Yesoya & everything that happened his feelings were gratitude & guilt based. And even when they married he wasn't in love with her yet. I think that with time his feelings grew to the point that when he thought that she and his son died there was no part of his heart other than friendship that he could return to Soseno. I personally felt he showed more emotion when his eyes met Yesoya's for a second than when Soseno was leaving. Because in the end he let her go without much of a fight. I think that Soseno was in love with him until the end, but she knew he didn't return her feelings. I think he was probably happier the last 5 months of his life with his love and son than he was the last 15 with a life of war and a political marriage. I believe that Yesoya didn't interrupt the wedding ceremony because she knew Soseno was the wife he needed to found his nation. I believe she didn't want all of their sacrifices to be in vain. I feel that Yesoya put all the love she felt towards her husband into raising her son. I feel he loved her more because of her sacrifices for him & his mother, but also because at some point Soya became his resting place. You could see it in the episode when he returned to the palace after the King got his power back. When he's watching her sleep. He never found that with anyone else not even Soseno. I think Soya was the home he could lay all his troubles down. And because of this I found the final scenes of the series contrived for the sake of emotions he didn't really feel towards Soseno. This isn't to say he wouldn't miss her or he wasn't saddened by her leaving she was his companion and partner in the building of his dream. But to me she wasn't the love of his life. She was his first love but she wasn't his last.

exactly empress 4124 he loved them different but his love for lady ye soya was like you said a more compassionate love, he did really love her he didn't want to marry seseono after her husband died and his wife was supposed to be dead. if he had truly loved seseona more or better he would have jumped at the chance instead of having to fight lady ye soya's memory.

Yesoya is a real woman, sosuhno is over the top. Jumong and yesoya complement each other in term of endearment, looks, temperaments, mannerisms, they look beautiful together. Little wonder that it didn't take long for jumong to fall in love with yesoya passionately after their wedding. Yesoya was forever in his heart even during his political marriage to sosuhno, he was always in pain when he think of yesoya and Yuri. Ever wonder why jumong and sosuhno didn't have any children together? They were in the prime of their lives, and yet no children. Just like daeso and sullan. I think Jumong's affection for Yesohya started when he was injured and Yesohya took care of him for some time. And when that time Jumong offered marriage proposal to Yehsoya. Because if there was no love, and only because of pity i dont think he will fall to her. Yesohya has the qualities of becoming a good wife, with dignity, etc. Its not hard for him to fall in love. Esp. Yesohya showed support to his dream and love to his mother as her own plus giving him a son and sacrificed herself not to be with husband and saw marrying Soseono to achieve his dream.
Truthfully, I didn't like Song Ji Hyo before because of her role here in Jumong. I wanted Jumong ❤ Soseono cpl but as I watch RM I love her💕 and now a SpartAcer 😍💕
with soseono it was either marry someone else or daeso in which she doesn't want 2 marry him, so 2 avoid that she married the other guy. as 4 yesoya she had a choice 2 tell jumong that she and yuri was alive. understanding means nothing when there's a child involved, jumong had the right 2 know his son is alive so he can watch his son grow up. knowing the choice she chose affected alot of ppl including jumong and yuri.
it's a fact the ye is d wife and truly love by jumong but in the series they twisted the story., no matter u wanted to insist that seosono d real love of jumong you could not change the history itself..
@daniela151292 i havent watched the drama myself (but i'm watch MV's to give myself an introduction to it), but based on @empress4124 's argument, and others', her love for jumong was selfless and she allowed jumong and soseono to marry without protest. so how she could be mistaken as "someone who ruined somebody else's life" when her own life suffered as well is beyond me.
It is so seo no that letting go and she was always right on her decisions..Sometimes love just ain't enough.but they both know.. Theyre love is heaven..Unconditional, so seo no a very strong woman who sees everything beyond love, she sees family ,she sees the future beyond..She's intelligent..She sacrifice everything for love she's a peacemakers..And she's blessed..So seo no is jumongs life that's why it's like his heart was taken away when so seono left..He hold his heart..In pain..

Jumong and so seo no love is so deep so they can understand each other, and can let go their love for good sake. Their love should ended coz of fate, after trough many hard time together. Just if we can change the past...
if JM and SSN were a real couple they should have a child of their own.. but in the story SSN had two sons from her first husband and JM has a son with Soya

And in real story/history try to google, aftr the death of jumong mother in buyeo he sent his wife and son in goguryeo and choose yuri a crown prince and lady ye is his empress queen, soseono became extremely jelous thats why she led south with her two son.. Even in history jumong choose his wife and son yuri.. I feel pity for soseono coz even if she help jumong established goguryeo jumong didnt choose her..
@@ladybriggitte4519 i know this is late but as far as the articles I've read, when ysy and yuri came back, yuri did become the crown prince but ysy was mentioned only as a first wife and the mother of jm son. Jm never made a choice since Ssn was the one who insist it for him, hence the reason why Baekje was established. and in reality when they came back jm died 5months after he declared yuri as cp.

In the true story, Jumong's 1st son with Lady Ye became next King of Goguryeo, meanwhile his younger son with So seo no who left to the south name Onjo found and became the 1st King of new nation Baekje a place name Seoul now

At the 1st time she step on her feet on Bu Yeo, she saw how Jumong sadness after So seo no left Bu yeo with her group. You are right, Jumong choose his family and so with So seo no. If she stay, there may will be confusion and conflict like happened in Jumong's past. She doesnt want the same thing happen so she leave. Its Jumong and So seo no who have sacrificed for good sake
So seo no and jumong love story is a disaster.. Good drama but the main characters(JM and SSN) love story is tragic.. Its much better if both oh them ended to be together until the end..

Goguryeo is the kingdom the show revoles aroud but Silla and Beakje where their own countries. All three of them are refered to as "The Three Kingdoms" in korea's history.
But in the drama Yesoya was just there. His mom had to persuade him to marry her. Plus, the last episode was practically dedicated to him and Soseono. After all, he did state that the happiest time of his life was when they first met each other. yeah yesoya sacraficed alot, but she was really weak in letting Yuri grow up like that.She should have common sense to let Jumong know at least they were alive. Seosono was extremely intelligent and she too sacraficed alot for him.

For history it may be that; Jumong married Soseono because she was the daughter of the ruler of the land he wanted to own but it was Yesoya who gave him a son. Actually Jumong also sired two sons from Soseono - Biryu and Onjo.
yes, Jumong loved Seseono, but she couldn't take the pressure Daeso was putting on her, so she married her childhood friend. He married Yesoya because that is whet they did in those days. I think his love for Yesoya was slow in developing and more tragic. you have to feel very sad for her going through all that humiliation and hardship to preserve Yuri's life.

Both ladies played great roles, but the writer showed the natural human attitude of a husband to his first wife Yesohya. In their culture the first wife is the legal wife, and should be the queen, but was not shown in the story, and the second wives as concubines. Soseono is the second wife and know that her sons will never be the heir of the throne, its Yuri. Plus they got married thinking Yesohya and Yuri were dead. Its good Soseono know the monarchy law knowing the bloodline of Jumong.

In Wikipedia they said Jumong have 2 sons with his 2nd wife, and in Onjo's part they said Onjo is Jumong's son and also half younger brother of Yuri, who became Goguryeo's second king, and younger brother of Biryu, described in some records as the founder of Baekje..
For me also i dont like so seono...i much like soya... Thier story was like to his mom and dad..... A lots of sacrificess... So seono only an intrument to help him build a new strongest nation... But the son of so seono,,,biryu is like daeso,,, he has a bad attitude. I really understand why thier fate was terrible.... God knows what happen if biryu became next king....the goguryeo was perished and not long last.all efforts and sacrificess of jumong became waste... Thats why yuri came ,,,he is the one who are capable in his throne... 😊

I didn't like Yesoya at first, she seemed sort of absent minded the way she just sort of stared off into the distance, also she was realllllyy quiet. I say that but she did grow on me, and as the show progressed her character developed alot. Still though I like Sosahno better. (I know I probably spelt that wrong)

I didn't like Yesoya at first, she seemed sort of absent minded the way she just sort of stared off into the distance, also she was realllllyy quiet. I say that but she did grow on me, and as the show progressed her character developed alot. Still though I like Sosahno better. (I know I probably spelt that wrong)
