It's gonna be atleast 1,000 years before things get interesting... this mars thing is nothing. I'm sorry to say you were born to early my starseed friend. The 1,000 years is also just the " true begining " of space travel. So you might say it would have been better to be born in 1,500-2,000 years from now. Before you think I'm crazy, just stop and think about it for abit, I know people will try to say the industrial revolution, the technological revolution, etc. etc. it could easily come even 100 years from now with innovation. I'm sure there will be lots of innovation in those 999 years, but I'm simply saying that the part you would want to be born for and at your current age to experience it, is far into the future. Strangely enough human population has decreased down to about 2 billion on the planet... but that's up massively from where it reached after the incident cough cough... don't ask. Many would agree it was " for the best ".
