Bro I don't know if I'm the only one but I had those chills of epicness when Tenzin fought Zaheer. I knew Tenzin was a good Airbender but damn he went hamz against Zaheer.
It was good to see that Tenzin was slightly better than Zahnhir in the fight, i would have been disapointed if Aangs son wouldnt stand a chance. Good job Tenzin
slightly better ? are you blinde Tenzen is just playing with Zahhir they didn't call him an air master for nothing if it was a one-to-one battle Tenzen would destroy Zahhir.
imo Tenzin was winning pretty handily. They were exchanging attacks, but Tenzin was able to block Zaheer's attacks whereas Zaheer had to either get hit by Tenzin's attacks or dodge them.
Top 5 moments of the episode for me: 5- Mako and Bolin's grandma. 4- The face Zuko made when Korra told him she met with his uncle. 3- Bolin totally fangirling all over Zuko. 2- The fights in the northern air temple (Kya and Bumi) 1- Fucking badass Tenzin kicking some serious red lotus ass.
Bolin is by far the funniest character... And Zukos presence in the series feels so surreal... It's different than Katara's because she is really an old woman that behaves like a Grandmother... But Zuko!!! UOW... Zukos is like 1000 years and he's still the man!!!
I'm kinda glad Tenzin could hold his own against Zaheer which goes to show you that Aang trained him well with air bending but why is Kya having such a hard time. Katara is supposed to be one of the best waterbending masters and she would obviously have passed on her knowledge to Kya so you'd expect her to have an easier time against other water benders at the very least but she was getting beaten bad by the water tentacle lady. At least I can understand bumi's troubles sense he is a fresh air bender but still why is Kya getting beaten, especially against another water bender.
This is definitely the best book for Korra so far. Another appearance by Iroh and Zuko, awesome. Zaheer and company attacking Tenzin and the rest of the airbenders at the northern air temple. Ba Sing Se being destroyed and looted. And maybe Tenzin actually dying?! Crazy episode, Zaheer is my favorite villain from Korra in the series. Really looking forward to the finale
Are you sure about that mate? I am partial to the first season being on par with this one but to each their own. I'd like to see a fight between Amon and Zaheer that'd be an interesting fight assuming Amon didn't go full crazy on Zaheer. (I don't want to spoil season one for anyone who hasn't watched it which is why I don't want to reveal any of Amon's secrets)
***** I agree. If they would've known how much people would have loved Korra, Season 1 would've been longer. They didn't plan on the fans loving it so much!
Ki-Jana Moore True. If it was a 20 episode book like the original Avatar, the pacing would have been much better. Probably has to do with the level of artwork and animation they do for the show as well. It is very well done, so it's pretty expensive and takes longer to work on.
I don't know when Tenzen said "As long as I'm still BREATHING" I would expect Zaheer to start bending the air out of Tenzen at that point and then Tenzen would try to fight the bending, but the others would keep knocking him down so he wouldn't be able to stop Zaheer from taking his breath away
Tenzin was kicking Zaheer's ass 1v1. Zaheer was running for his life for the most of the fight. I think that Tenzin could've taken at least 2 of them out.

I realy love Zaheer's complete hypocrisy. In the last episode he was talking about how governments are bad for the world and pointed to the Fire Lord nearly wiping out all the Airbenders now we have Zaheer who is threatening to wipe out all the Airbenders.... What?! His logic already is starting to fall apart. "I must prevent genocides so I will commit genocide to make sure genocide doesn't happen again."
Oh yeah a person who murders someone in cold blood and sends an entire city into chaos which is going to lead to the deaths of hundreds if not thousands is really going to be shy about killing more people to complete his goal.
The only reason they didn't kill the Air Benders running to the Bison is because they still need them as leverage against the Avatar. They have no issues with mass killing either directly or indirectly.
He is only after the world leaders, but he is realistic. Korra has evaded him long enough so he is targeting the Air Nomads to get Korra to surrender. It makes sense. The Red Lotus isn't against killing, but I doubt they would have killed all of them, just the ones that fought back. I mean, I find it hard to believe that P'Li missed all of them like that unintentionally.
Taking out the airbenders isn't something he wants to do. If he did the Red Lotus would have gone there as soon as Zaheer found out from Kya that the airbenders we're going to the Northern Air Temple. He said himself that he respects Tenzin as an airbending master and didn't want to hurt them. He's only attacking as a last resort to get to Korra thinking/ knowing she would turn herself over to protect the air nation.

When tenzin said I won't quit till my last breath,I thought zaheer was going to be like,"OK" and do what he did to the earth queen... I was worried lol
Yeah, Part of me thinks they killed him, Seeing how Zaheer is, he most likely killed him after Tenzin said those words, if he didn't say that he would have a greater chance of surviving.
Jay 26 I don't think the producers would make Tenzin's death an execution though. Especially an off-screen one. He's just too big a character to not, at least, go off with a bang.
Bumi was BRILLIANT. That is exactly what was needed to be done about Ghazam. Go in close combat, because the dude is not going to melt himself. Nice strategy, Bumi, really nice. Too bad he knows how to bend normal earth
To me the fight between Tenzin and Zaheer should've been one sided... Zaheer just got his abilities, and he may be good, but he isn't freakin Tenzin... That's boss level...
This season has it all... Best Fight scenes Good Character Development Real Threat and Tension Nice Pacing So why does the Avatar series don't have 20+ episodes in one season again?
Best episode/ best season so far the story just keeps building and building I love it, I feel sorry for all the people who abandoned the show after season 2 cause you bandwagons are totally missing out.
They definitely weren't equals and i'm extremely glad about that. Tenzin the airbending master was kicking zaheers ass 9only had bending for a few weeks0 if zaheer had beat tenzin 1vs1 i would have been extremely pissed. I do think that tenzin might be dead/dying. This furthers my belief that teh red loutus is going to be a two season villian unlike all previous in this series. It feels alot like book 2:Earth of atla where some crazy shit goes down at the end of the season and we don't get the fall out until the next season. I think that is going to happen, and i hope it does because that is something this series desperately needs. It needs large scale threats and adventure that was common place in ATLA. This is by far the best season of korra ever, and i cannot wait for the season finale!!!
Funniest part of the episode. Everyone's listing their duties to get to the air temple before Zaheer's group, and the Bolin and Mako's grandmother says, "I'm going to take a nap." That's some Gran Gran level type humor right there.
Legend of korra book 3 is possibly the best season of Avatar as a series if not at least top 3. This episode had me feelin. I don't think Tenzen is dead I think he will be held for ransom against Korra
If they wanted Tenzin dead, Ghezan would have been using lava bending instead of chucking rocks at him Lava bending is OP as hell. Literally one hit and you are done. That's why everyone in this series dodges it like their life depends on it.
Scorponizer I think they were referring to someone from the original cast of Korra characters, so that makes Tenzin a candidate. I still however doubt it'll be him to die though.
Tenzin.... What a beast!!! Thats definitely aangs son. Also, one would think that since Bumi was in the military, he would be a better fighter but maybe that doesnt necessarily apply to bending
I would kill for a reunion scene of (old) Zuko and Iroh in the spirit world. Zuko would be like: "Uncle...?". That look on his face when he found out Iroh was alive in some kind of way... Really mike and bryan that would be awesome.
This was a great episode.. Moments that stuck out: Bolin meeting Zuko for the first time and spazzing out.. which was pretty much my reaction when Zuko was reintroduced in this book... Zuko finding out that Korra connected with Iroh in the spirit world hopefully can be revisited.. I'd like to see a reunion.. and of course Tenzin in boss mode handling the red lotus.... Think the White Lotus will assist Korra in taking them down? That'd be pretty epic!
I would view Ming-Hua as the best waterbender alive. Oh and you see in the last review, the picture of the group in the circus? She looked buff, but overall it makes sense since the group are all full of tricks
Tenzin is a beast! He was overpowering Zaheer too until the rest of the OP 4 showed up. I hope he doesn't die. Obviously Kai survived for a reason. He's probably going to get to Korra or try to hatch a plan with the Air Bison. I really thought that Kya had a chance against the Octopus lady but she got wrecked.
Opal was grab and held hostage by the armless waterbender the scene happen real fast and it hard to tell it was opal because her hairstyle is the same as a few other female characters.
so hey i have two theories as to why Zaheer is such a good airbender and why he got his own prison Theory 1: The reason he has his own cell is because he was a prodigy non-bender, or a super genius. Everyone in the group displays some sort of prodigal ability in regards to their bending ability, so it would make sense that as their leader and as a non-bender he would have to have some kind of specialty that would make them follow him. So what if he is just someone who has the natural ability to just master anything he studies like philosophy, leadership, martial arts, etc. and that's what made him dangerous enough to have his own separate prison away from anything he can interact with. Note that when we met him his first quality that he displays is how well-read and insightful he is. As soon as he learned about getting airbending he just naturally picked it up. Theory 2: what if Zaheer learned how to bend from Guru Laghima in the spirit world? First it is shown that Zaheer has a very strong spiritual prowess( enough to even relay what he's seeing while still in the spirit world) and can travel freely in the spirit world as he chooses. Second, people like Iroh prove that one can spend their afterlife in the spirit world if they are spiritual enough so it is possible that Guru Laghima went to the spirit world after he died. At some point prior to the events of LOK, Laghima and Zaheer must have met up in the spirit world and Zaheer became the Guru's student. At some point between season two and three Guru Laghima must've sensed the Harmonic Convergence's changes and prepared Zaheer for them in the case that he might be an airbender and trained him while in the spirit world? He might have also taught him some of his philosophy, considering how highly he talks about him when he first recites it. What do you guys think?
Zaheer doesn't seem like a guy to give into the pity card. He told everyone that they would all be fine if they just cooperated. When Tenzen resisted, I'm betting Zaheer was ready and willing to kill him then... but couldn't because Tenzen is a beast. Zaheer actually gave him two chances to submit. Which is more that he gave the Earth Queen.
Yeah the second P'lii shot tenzin he was basicaly screwed because Kya and Bumi fell off the cliff, leaving Ming hua and Gazan to help Zaheer out.But yes Tebzin would have won no doubt
This is the best review I've seen for The Legend of Korra yet. Sawyer just put a lot of thought into this, developed some great points leading into the finale and actually made me enjoy this episode even more on a second watch (if that was even possible)!
i really hope this season ends with katara and the one and only toph meeting with zuko and they all agree to come out of "retirement",to help korra fight the red lotus in next season.
I know I wasn't the only one cheering when Tenzin was giving it to Zaheer. It's like dude you just got your airbending, Tenzin is a god damn master, know your place. This of course was immediately followed by the feels that came when the 4 of them ganged up on Tenzin... I hope he isn't dead.
I wonder if Lahima will make some kind of appearance. I hope these villains spill over into the next book, they are too good to just get rid of so quickly with a deus ex machina.
Zaheer by far is my favorite antagonist throughout the whole series. I think this episode gave more chills than the one with the Queen's death, because the victim is now Tenzin! But this kind of chill feels kind of sad, I really don't want Tenzin to die :( He's too cool to die
You see, now would have been a good time to have Ai Wei fly the ship, but nooo~ we have to make Zaheer look menacing and OP so we throw him in the fog.
Wait if Tenzin and zaheer are over there and boomey and kya are fighting ming and lava dude,THEN WHO'S FLYING THE AIRSHIP? (It's probably auto pilot or one of the solders taken hostage.)
jojo kyle Hmm, interesting... Meh, it's probably no one important.. As you sad, maybe they took one of the soldiers, or that radio guy, or Gun, or it's maybe the auto pilot... I believe it's no one significant..
*Best Season!* I keep saying it over and over again but I feel it's neccessary to reinstate how AWESOME this whole Season has been. Especially considering how we were all bitching when Legend of Korra was losing its way during Book 2...
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA Yoooooooooooo I thought the same when the story first broke out, granted I knew who she was obviously before U_U But yea true, P'li is much taller tho.
Idk man, what made that last part such a heart racer was the constant thought of, "was this how the Air Benders of 170 years ago struggled against the Fire Nation?". There just something about rounding people up in a single room and threatening them that just gets to me...
This kind of took me off of the side of Zaheer. I am an anarchist so I agree with his message 100% but to kill/threaten innocent people makes him no better than the tyrannical queen he just killed. Really I should have been off of his side since he killed Ai-wei
10/10 loved it. I don't want to see Tenzin die but I think since the next episode is called into the void( like void of death) I think korra will get one last goodbye to tenzin before he goes to the afterlife to meet aang. Would be a good send off to my favorite character in all of Legend of korra. Or he could just be super badly injured(which would be disappointing). The thing about Kai, like emergency awesome said it's a kids show they really can't kill off one of the kids.
the way that they glorify him with the most epic air bending fight ever, plus his final words lead me to believe that he is dead... plus they have been saying that jinora is as good (if not better) than tenzin, so she in some way can replace his role as the master of the new nation
Oh, and kudos to Tenzin!!! Usually he just dishes out tons of sass to Korra and company, but today whoop-ass was comin' a plenty!!! Suck it Zaheer (who's definitely my favorite villain)
OK so I was thinking of what Zeheer could possible need Korra for that he couldn't do himself. I was thinking that he would most likely want to eliminate the Avatar line all together. So if that were true, Zeheer would have to kill Korra in the Avatar state. I thought maybe, Zeheer could like torture Tenzin in front oh her so she goes into the Avatar state like Aang did when Appa was taken (in a fit of rage.) Then Zeheer could proceed with his plan to kill her, thus ending the Avatar forever.
There's no way Tenzin is dead, come on people. This is still Nickelodeon we're talking about. Sure they killed the Earth Queen, but she was a new character and an unlikeable bitch. Tenzin is a staple of The Legend of Korra series that's been around since the beginning of Book 1. No way are they going to kill him off. Not even off screen.
AJ2000 yeah that's what I think too mainly because of his family and the fact that a similar situation happened in book two with korras dad and he wound up just being really badly hurt
There should be a website like "kickstarter" that would let "Avatar" fans donate for future series instead of leaving it up to Nick to decide if there will be a next season or not, based on Nick's audience. Or the same concept but instead, have ATLA series come back..
Tenzen got the better of Zaheer on more than one occassion.. what an absolute champion. Hate to say it but I don't think he's going to make it.. here's hoping otherwise
Sawyer, you might have been wrong about air bending needing a power-up. Tenzin proved in this episode that pure air bending alone is formidable. I also think that air benders as a whole are more athletic and have better awareness in skill when it comes to fighting. There's more to them than just the scale and power of their bending.
The Earth Queen's death was "off-screened" in a sense but her death was very clearly implied with Zaheer pulling the air out of her lungs and we sort of saw her dying prior to the scene being cut off. With Tenzin all we see is him getting an ass-whooping which could by all means just end with him being knocked out and/ or heavily injured but I'll admit that the whole "as long as I'm still breathing" bit made some implications. I hope he's not dead though, that would piss me off and I feel like his character still has a long road ahead of him before they can kill him off.
Bumi is weak af. Isn't he a legendary war veteran? Where is his h2h combat skill? His tactical planning? >_> His running and biting like a helpless child. really lame imo
I was hopin tenzin was goona fight against zaheer nd it happen oh shit tht was fuckin epic no doubt about it best fuckin episode ever I cannot wait for the the next episode bak t I really hope tenzin isnt dead cuz if he is then tht just ruined the rest of the series like tht moment when the red lotus jumped tenzin I literally was so close to cryin but anyways dis episode was epic I got goosebumps all over my body nd I am so hype for the next episode cnt wait
Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have in front of us, we always have a choice. Master Tenzin taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It's the choices that make us who we are, and we could always choose to do what's right.
Yeah, we learned this in Season 1 in the Republic City game. We don't know her name yet though. Theories were pointing to Ursa after his mother but with a rehash of Iroh already I don't know. Maybe.
***** Fire Lord Sozin -> Fire Lord Azulon -> Fire Lord (Phoenix King) Ozai -> Acting Fire Lord Azula -> Fire Lord Zuko -> Fire Lord (Zuko's Daughter) -> General Iroh (Zuko's Grandson)
Tenzin is a MAN! The second he realized what kind of danger his family and the other Airbenders were in, he did not hesitate to attack 3 of some of the most powerful benders the Avatar universe has to offer and was destroying Zaheer! After all that he was still ready to die for Korra and the Airbenders.
I think that it's awful how they have not shown kya to be a true waterbending mastershe doesn't have the same style as Katara and pakku. I am sorry the same way tenzin is an awesome Airbender she should be just as good as a of a waterbender and she's not! and that's garbage seeing how she is aang and katara's daughter. also boomie was in the military for all that time you telling me he doesn't have any real hand to hand combat skills that's a load of crap also you would think that with him being the non bending child they would have had Tylee teach him to Chi block.you would think that the White Lotus would have Chi blockers as well as people who lightening bend to stop this this freak of nature with no arms.
No I think Kya has been pretty strong so far. She handled Zaheer fairly well in their short scuffle and she did a great job with Ming Hua up until she blasted her with a torrent of water which gave her like 6 more arms. Ming Hua is one of the most dangerous waterbenders in the entire Avatar universe, and it's very very hard for anyone to fight someone as unorthodox as her. Fights with her are usually short and one-sided, and she's a terrifyingly offensive bender who's difficult to counter. Bumi on the other hand I totally agree, despite the fact that he's not a great airbender, you'd expect a former military genius to be more capable in other forms of combat, comedic relief or not.
I'm sorry but kya has not showed any skills worthy Katara's daughter except for healing.they showed Tenzin being worthy of being Aang son.kya should have had the same kind of bending display
Bro I don't know if I'm the only one but I had those chills of epicness when Tenzin fought Zaheer. I knew Tenzin was a good Airbender but damn he went hamz against Zaheer.

Zaheer was running!

Gabriel Sampaio He's only 95, while Kyoshi lived almost triple that lol
I'm kinda glad Tenzin could hold his own against Zaheer which goes to show you that Aang trained him well with air bending but why is Kya having such a hard time. +Max Stine The original white lotus would give them a fight.

Well I enjoyed season 1, but the ending was just so rushed it hurt that season a lot. I would have liked to see a lot more of Amon vs Korra.
***** Very true.

Tenzin's tribute to Aang doing the one-legged plank!
the what? pls explain :o
Watch the fight between Tenzin and Zaheer. It's the moment before the other members of the Red Lotus interfered. You'll know it when you see it.
That have me a nostalgiagasm
I remember Aang doing that move on the LoK intro but did he ever do this in any A:tla fight scenes??
When did Aang use that move?
Did anyone see Opal in the Air Temple? If not, that makes Su more suspicious... Great Episode leading to the Book 3 Finale!
She was the girl the armless water bender was holding hostage hope this helps your conspiracy
Edit:Wow over 200 likes this is crazy but thank you
When Ming Hua took Opal as hostage
I don't know when Tenzen said "As long as I'm still BREATHING" I would expect Zaheer to start bending the air out of Tenzen at that point and then Tenzen would try to fight the bending, but the others would keep knocking him down so he wouldn't be able to stop Zaheer from taking his breath away
Ming hua was holding her hostage? Gona watch the whole episode like 5 times now
Wasn't she the one being held hostage by the freaky waterbending lady?
Damn Tenzin made me look like an amateur.
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,
Did you kill him? if so I'm getting Korra .
Bout time someone did.
What a scrub
I guess you could say you were.*puts on shades* blown away.
Julian Glen Amen sista.
Tenzin was kicking Zaheer's ass 1v1. Zaheer was running for his life for the most of the fight. I think that Tenzin could've taken at least 2 of them out.
If the Finale is as good as the rest of this Season, then this is BY FAR my favourite arc of the Avatar Saga!
Tenzin had Zaheer beat, if it wasn't for the others intervening he would have won. I think Korra is in need of one massive epic fight were she takes on them all at once, goes avatar state and beats them due to rage at what they have done to tenzin. She needs an epic moment like that, I don't feel she's really had one. Sort of like how Aang beat Ozai but better.
Oh and I know she can't go avatar state anymore but there should be a way of her getting the connection back.
AzikuraProductions she can still go Avatar State, Remember in A Breath of Fresh Air and after she connected with Raava again in Light in the Dark
She can still go Avatar Mode, like how Wang did when he first became the Avatar. The difference is she doesn't have the knowledge and individual abilities of the previous Avatars. At this point the Avatar state is just a temporary power boost.
This episode was fucking beast, Tenzins airbending was so awesome, it was powerful sounding and looking.
The music in this was boss as all hell. This is one of the rare fights that not only gives you that epic vibe, but it makes you feel so sad as you're watching it.
Tenzin earned my respect. I mean he was beating the crap out of Zaheer and it took all 4 to take him down. Great episode
I realy love Zaheer's complete hypocrisy. In the last episode he was talking about how governments are bad for the world and pointed to the Fire Lord nearly wiping out all the Airbenders now we have Zaheer who is threatening to wipe out all the Airbenders.... I ont think you understand the point one last genocide to end all genocides it makes total sense

I'm glad Tenzin fought Zaheer finally. You get to see exactly how big the gap was between this guy who just got airbending and a true master.
I was almost cheering at how amazing Tenzin looked just fending off Zaheer's gusts.
Tenzin is a boss. He would have beaten Zaheer if the other 3 didn't interrupt, Hope Tenzin is ok though, Unfortunatpy everyone except Kai is captured now :/
The funny thing is that Tenzin would have beaten Zaheer, Ming Hua, and Ghazan at once if Combustion lady didn't jump in.
I hope they didn't kill Tenzin, I mean the way they took it off screen outa doubt in my heaf
*****
Against the four, I doubt it. Against two of them, yes. If P'li hadn't been on a vantage point, She and Zaheer would've been done for.
bumi and kya is not captured
wait, what if tenzin really is dead, and when korra finds that out it will be soo much of a shock that she will regain her connection with aang who is going to be soooo pissed that his airbender son is dead and do like how kyoshi took over aangs body in book 2 and attack zaheer. could be possible
Sawyer should totally do a live reaction for next week's Season Finale! :)
There's not going to be a two episode special. The dates were released, and the Enter the Void and Venom of the Red Lotus will air on a different day.
When Tenzin mentioned about how he didn't lose because he was still breathing, instantly thought of the earth queen's death.
Is this really what happens when they take a TV show off the air :o Cause if it is I want more :))) #TeamTenzin
To me the fight between Tenzin and Zaheer should've been one sided... Zaheer just got his abilities, and he may be good, but he isn't freakin Tenzin... That's boss level...
This season has it all...
Best Fight scenes
Good Character Development
Real Threat and Tension
Nice Pacing
So why does the Avatar series don't have 20+ episodes in one season again?
Tenzin is fucking badass. He wasn't on par with Zaheer, he was kicking Zaheer's ass
Everyone's listing their duties to get to the air temple before Zaheer's group, and the Bolin and Mako's grandmother says, "I'm going to take a nap."
That's some Gran Gran level type humor right there.
Bolin and Mako's Granny is awesome!
"I'm going to take a nap."
Legend of korra book 3 is possibly the best season of Avatar as a series if not at least top 3. This episode had me feelin. I don't think Tenzen is dead I think he will be held for ransom against Korra
If they wanted Tenzin dead, Ghezan would have been using lava bending instead of chucking rocks at him
Lava bending is OP as hell. Literally one hit and you are done. That's why everyone in this series dodges it like their life depends on it.
True but it doesn't seem as hot as real lava tbh and they said there will be a major death this season soooo...
Aloe Vera
The Earth Queen sound pretty major to me.
Aloe Vera Who said that and when? I've read that a few times now but there hasn't been any sources.
Scorponizer I think they were referring to someone from the original cast of Korra characters, so that makes Tenzin a candidate. I still however doubt it'll be him to die though.
I doubt any main characters will die. Perhaps Raiko?
Actually, 2 episodes doesn't seem like enough time to get to the UR.
is it safe to say that this book is better than book one of the original Avatar?
It's just a few steps behind Book 2 of Avatar, with less episodes. This is quite awesome!
Yes
Antonio Marcelino
No, nothing beats book two of TLA or even gets close, I'm sorry but yeah this is better than book one of Avatar. :D
Your a dumbass
LilGEO Nothing beats book two of ATLA in my heart, but this season is better in many aspects. Technical aspects, mostly
Tenzin.... What a beast!!! Thats definitely aangs son. Also, one would think that since Bumi was in the military, he would be a better fighter but maybe that doesnt necessarily apply to bending
I don't think Tenzin is dead, the Red Lotus still needs leverage against the avatar.
If Tenzin is dead, then you'll know what the Avatar would do. Go to the Avatar state and rage.
remember they still have the rest of the airbenders
Tyler Soulsword
Yes she does. Shes used it to remove the vines in Republic City.
Yes she does. The Avatar State comes from Rava, not just her past lives. She can still access it.
Tyler Soulsword She does. Remember when she tried to spirit bend the vines?
I..I shed a few tears when they showed tenzin getting beaten up 4v1 styled. Really hope he isn't dead.
Tenzin>>>>>>>>>>then your favorite character
I would kill for a reunion scene of (old) Zuko and Iroh in the spirit world. Zuko would be like: "Uncle...?". That look on his face when he found out Iroh was alive in some kind of way... Really mike and bryan that would be awesome.
I see why Nickelodeon put the series online. It looks like it's becoming very dark.
This episode confirmed it for me
This was just the best episode of LoK series! Respect for Tenzin.
Tenzin vs Zaheer gave me the same feels as jiraiya vs pain.
I was stalking your channel for an hour for this review to come up! Hope that didn't sound creepy. Great review as always.
I have nothing against Katara, but Ming Hua just schooled her on how to do an octopus.
*****
We can't say for sure. Maybe she is also the medic of the group. They were all part of the White Lotus, an obvious group of talents after all.
we haven't seen katara fight since she was a little girl who just learned waterbending. I'm positive that at Ming Hua's age, Katara was a beast.
Ajay Arjoon I am not saying Karata was not a beast, all I said is that Ming Hua made a badass, more functional octopus with no hands.
*****
Now that you mention it, Azula _was_ kept in a straitjacket once after losing all her marbles.
I also think if it was 1v1 tenzin would own.
so hey i have two theories as to why Zaheer is such a good airbender and why he got his own prison
Theory 1: The reason he has his own cell is because he was a prodigy non-bender, or a super genius.
Zaheer would probably get more use out of Tenzin alive, but it would lessen the emotional impact of his scene
Nah, breaking a man's will hits harder than just killing him. Seeing him all beaten up would also make Korra uneasy, making her more susceptible.
Zaheer doesn't seem like a guy to give into the pity card. He told everyone that they would all be fine if they just cooperated. When Tenzen resisted, I'm betting
Zaheer was ready and willing to kill him then... but couldn't because Tenzen is a beast.
Zaheer actually gave him two chances to submit. Which is more that he gave the Earth Queen.
Yeah the second P'lii shot tenzin he was basicaly screwed because Kya and Bumi fell off the cliff, leaving Ming hua and Gazan to help Zaheer out.But yes Tebzin would have won no doubt
oLi.
That's not pity, merely being practical.
Drn Montemayor How is it practical? Zaheer has no use for Tenzen. All he needs is leverage to get Korra.
Tenzin went in! I was never really crazy about his character but i gained so much respect for him this episode
This is the best review I've seen for The Legend of Korra yet. Sawyer just put a lot of thought into this, developed some great points leading into the finale and actually made me enjoy this episode even more on a second watch (if that was even possible)!
He was very hyped today.
Julian Glen As was everyone after that beast of an episode! lol
I couldn't stop crying at the end of the fight because I didn't want Tnezin to die :C
I kept saying my head "tenzin stop fighting" QQ
The episode was awesome, after all! If Iroh made a wisdom book or some sort of poetry novel, I would buy that shit!
Amon vs Zaheer. One on One to the death. Who would win and why?
Book 3 deserves to win some awards it's been awesome to watch it Nickelodeon hit the jack pot with the avatar series
YOU UNDERSTAND MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS ABOUT THIS SHOW!!! THANK YOU!!!
I hope this continues into Season 4.
fly u should start doing revies on this
I'm mortified as hell on Tenzin. He CAN'T die. He's a damn master on all aspects and level. That air bending. Ugh. Not even Aang!
i really hope this season ends with katara and the one and only toph meeting with zuko and they all agree to come out of "retirement",to help korra fight the red lotus in next season.
I hope these villains spill over into the next book, they are too good to just get rid of so quickly with a deus ex machina.
especially since we have yet to get a back story from each.
Zaheer by far is my favorite antagonist throughout the whole series. I think this episode gave more chills than the one with the Queen's death, because the victim is now Tenzin! But this kind of chill feels kind of sad, I really don't want Tenzin to die :( He's too cool to die
I wonder if Ming Hua lost her arms as a result of someone trying to stop her from bending, or she purposely removed them to advance her own.
I'm thinking she might have been born without them.
omg... i only just realized after you left this comment she didnt have her arms. i need to be more observant....
They cut of her arms after they imprisoned her so she couldn't bend. It was in character info for third season.
damn, that's pretty brutal
Really? I would've thought they'd cut off everybody's limbs then, par Zaheer. :p
WAIT A MINUTE!!!
Who was driving the Red Lotus airship?
Auto Pilot. Or a hostage pilot I guess.
Im just going to assume they had a hostage pilot.
Or.. Someone that doesn't matter because it brings nothing to the plot...
Good point! I never thought about that. Maybe Julie. Nah. Lol.
Sparky Sparky Boom Girl
I asked the same thing. Had to be Gun the former Earth Queen's former assistant that they took captive.
Stefan Krstic She isn't flying it though she is just standing at the window while it perfectly maneuvers around to the right places.
jojo kyle
Hmm, interesting...
Sparky Sparky Boom Girl a lot resembles to Christy Mack
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA Yoooooooooooo I thought the same when the story first broke out, granted I knew who she was obviously before U_U
But yea true, P'li is much taller tho.
Idk man, what made that last part such a heart racer was the constant thought of, "was this how the Air Benders of 170 years ago struggled against the Fire Nation?". There just something about rounding people up in a single room and threatening them that just gets to me...
if tenzin is dead, im personally having a funeral or him, he will be in my heart right next to Neji Hyuga
Once all of this Red Lotus stuff is over, Zuko needs to go with Korra on a life changing field trip to see Iroh.
This kind of took me off of the side of Zaheer. I am an anarchist so I agree with his message 100% but to kill/threaten innocent people makes him no better than the tyrannical queen he just killed. Really I should have been off of his side since he killed Ai-wei
Tenzin was fighting for his dream, his family, his students, and aang dreams :D hell of a chapter! 10/10
i Respect Tenzin now, he truly is the son of aang, this episode was epic AF!
Did they kill tenzin or what do you think happened to him? Either way he went out a badass.
You know, it was very unclear
^^^ get out!!!
the way that they glorify him with the most epic air bending fight ever, plus his final words lead me to believe that he is dead... plus they have been saying that jinora is as good (if not better) than tenzin, so she in some way can replace his role as the master of the new nation
I cant believe its ending this is the best season so far.
Don't sleep on tenzin man.
Oh, and kudos to Tenzin!!! Usually he just dishes out tons of sass to Korra and company, but today whoop-ass was comin' a plenty!!! Suck it Zaheer (who's definitely my favorite villain)
If Tenzin dies, I will be furious. However I predict that Korra will somehow learn how to bring people back to life.
lol that is stupid
Uh no this isn't Dragonball
This isnt naruto either lo
rubex117 lmao right
Dang y'all ganged up on me, it's all good tho!
Typical denial speech
I'm going to assume that the Red Lotus didn't kill him but, beat him badly and maybe torture him to give up Korra.
AJ2000 yeah that's what I think too mainly because of his family and the fact that a similar situation happened in book two with korras dad and he wound up just being really badly hurt
But Jet wasn't nearly as major as Tenzin is in this series.
He is pivotal to the story so I assume he is still alive but they could kill him if they wanted to.
They could kill him and still get the avatar. They still have the other airbenders remember.
I always thought that waterbending requires arm and hand movement, but apparently that's not the case for Ming Hua.
You know dude you don't need death for there to be and have a serious sense of danger
I love how this episode just showed how beast Tenzin is. It would be great if Zaheer persuaded Tenzin to join him.
For Aang and Katara's daughter Kya's sure weak Af lol.
First airbender 1 vs1 was amazing I knew Tenzin would kick Zahher's ass but the ending was unexpected.
Zuko's daughter is Firelord wait he has a daughter?
yus
Yeah, we learned this in Season 1 in the Republic City game. We don't know her name yet though. Theories were pointing to Ursa after his mother but with a rehash of Iroh already I don't know. Maybe.
*****
Fire Lord Sozin -> Fire Lord Azulon -> Fire Lord (Phoenix King) Ozai -> Acting Fire Lord Azula -> Fire Lord Zuko -> Fire Lord (Zuko's Daughter) -> General Iroh (Zuko's Grandson)
Julian Glen I can't remember where I read it, but i think her name is Honora.
Lehcarr y
Yeah, I saw that name too.
Then I saw this.
avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Fanon:Honora
Tenzin is a MAN! The second he realized what kind of danger his family and the other Airbenders were in, he did not hesitate to attack 3 of some of the most powerful benders the Avatar universe has to offer and was destroying Zaheer! After all that he was still ready to die for Korra and the Airbenders.
Lol Tenzin OWNED Zaheer.
I cant believe that Tenzen was trippled team like that...I felt so bad for him man, Tenzen is the Real MVP!
Bumi on the other hand I totally agree, despite the fact that he's not a great airbender, you'd expect a former military genius to be more capable in other forms of combat, comedic relief or not.
it's actualy pretty hard to fight waterbenders in general. still holds the title for most O.p element .
I'm sorry but kya has not showed any skills worthy Katara's daughter except for healing.they showed Tenzin being worthy of being Aang son.kya should have had the same kind of bending display
I never really liked Tenzin a lot until this episode. He fought like a BOSS!!. It took 3 master benders to take him down.
