If i was given the chance to pick one of those Banshees to take home, i would go with the stockish one. I honestly don't have the ridding skills to tame, or enjoy, the most powerful one. And no need for high octane gas, i think...

In my opinion i would still keep the quad so if she wanted to go on just a ride with you somewhere and didn't want to run around on just 2 wheels

That's only if the budget would approve for both of them

Don't take this as a hate comment I love cr125s and have owned and raced them. Do not buy a cr125 to race. They are way under powered especially the new ones they don't compare to current bikes. I know she may not care about power but you will care about parts availability. Parts are super hard to come by now many are not available and haven't been for years. Some models are single and dual year designs which make it even harder to find parts. Buy a yz125 a way better bike. You can get a 06 and up and its basically the same bike as up to a 22. Some minor changes with silencer length brake rotors suspension springs and aluminum parts. Tons of parts tons of aftermarket support and cheap. The new yz has a new motor design but she will be happier with the older design as its got more low end. 05 isn't a bad year either but it lacks the sss suspension but can easily be swapped. 02-04 is a good bike but its a 5 speed and wasn't as good imo as a 01 and older. Ive owned many 125s many yzs and many years. Please trust me on this

@@banshee100 just trying to save you headaches. It pains me to say this, I'm getting old. 25+ years ago I only had Crs even though the yzs were considerably better. Heck even other brands were better and certainly more powerful. I just liked something about the crs and rode them until I switched to a 4 stroke. If you want a bike to put in the garage or maybe do a vintage race on a cr would be ok. But to ride regularly and potentially race its an expensive and frustrating feat with parts availability and pricing on whats left. People have bought the few little parts that were left and ask 10x what they cost. A 06+ yz is still competitive and I would pick one over a new Austrian 125. The Austrian bikes took a step backwards when they went to fuel injection the carb models are better. A carbed Austrian bike will be faster than a yz but its top end is not something a beginner would use. The yzs suspension however is way better than an Austrian bike. A 06 yz125 imo and a lot of others is hands down better than a 24 ktm125. The carbed bikes yz vs ktm husky gas gas is a toss up between riders but lower level guys always seem to prefer the yz still. Ive been pretty sad over this recently as I've wanted to buy a later model cr125 and 250 to play with. Its just parts are getting rare and I would be stupid to try and ride it.
